I jumped into world tier 4 at 63 and that was a mistake I get raped Easley. Went back and did nightmare tier 3 dungeons. I'm 66 and went back and still get messed up. The drops suck so bad in teir 4 so I've quit for a bit waiting for a update or something.
from someone who has sank more hours into this game than I should. 1) vendors can sometimes sell high ilvl 4/4 rolled gear. I have a 795+25 neckless i got from a vendor that was a perfect 4/4 roll with above 50% in each affix. 2) if you are just getting into wt4 and you are high 50 or low 60. whisper tree, legion, and world boss. legions will 99% of the time be 3 chest, world boss rarely survives longer than 20 seconds, and whisper dungeons are still easy to do while getting better gear and mountains of xp. After leveling a few times try a 21 nm dungeon, the lowest wt4 offers. if you clear it then you are good to spam those and pick up events and helltides as you want. 3) don't be afraid to upgrade your gear to max -1 as the resources required are so plentiful later you wont know what to do with them and once you hit mid/late 70 you'll have millions of gold just languishing away. 4) play in a group, even if you don't have friends. when you go to a legion event or a world boss, either start inviting randoms into the party or ask if someone wants to party for xp bonuses. enemies will have the same amount of health as they normally would but you are getting shared xp plus a bonus. 5) the upgraded tinctures/potions aren't really worth the increased cost and materials. sure 5% increased crit strike and 30% increased crit damage sounds nice but you can only craft maybe 3 of those while crafting the very basic one you could craft 20 or 30 of meaning a lot more xp over a much longer time. ALWAYS INCREASE YOUR HEALTH POT 6) 1-50 is your introduction to the game and your class, 50-70 is your testing ground for your build, 70-100 is you farming 3/4 ancestral bis and unique and aspects to bring it to its full potential, dont be frustrated if you arent getting amazing rolls on aspects and gear, you will throw away thousands of pieces and eventually find that one piece that is just perfect. 7) if you are going to push for uber Lillith and nm tier 100 realize that those are two different monsters typically. most of lilliths attacks will osk (one shot kill) you so you abandon all defense and go pure glass cannon offense. NM dungeons are different, you will need a solid mix of defense and offense to be able to push those 80+ tiers. 8) learn about break points and damage buckets. the highest breakpoint at the time is ilvl 725+ so anything 705+ un-upgraded will reach that threshold for huge damage/armor gains, pushing for 800+ is massive min/max and only applies to really late game fights. damage buckets are things like damage to skills are additive on the same gear piece while things like vulnerability damage crit damage and overpower damage are multiplicative damage. do your best to avoid stacking to much of a single bucket in a single gear piece. For example, a piece of gear that says: X damage to close, x damaged to cc, x damage to slowed, x crit damage will perform far and away WORSE than something that says x crit damage, x vuln damage, x damage to cc, x damage. 9) you can T or down on D pad out of a nm dungeon and get a full reheal and go back in from the teleport and pick up where you left off. Don't be afraid to test your limits down to your last health pot, after you kill the adds, fall back a little to safety, port out and come back in. no shame in living then dying 4 times and failing out of the dungeon. 10) level your glyphs on your paragon, 15 is first marker as it gives a huge radius buff but beyond 15 they increase the bonus in small increments to lvl 21. this can be a massive amount of damage. Exploit starts at 3% per 5 and finishes at around 3.85% per 5, sounds small but this is a pretty chunky increase to damage. 11) a min roll aspect from the book is better than no aspect at all. just because it isnt a perfect roll, which you should save for your best ancestral items unless you get duplicates, doesnt mean it isnt worth it. Put the min roll on your gear if you can unlock it from a dungeon. Especially an aspect like disobedience, its better to have a min roll than no roll of it. 12) piggy backing of number 9, dont be afraid to burn potions like a mad person in fights, enemies drop them by the tons and you often get them from chests, if you find yourself high and dry and in an injured status just fast port out, heal and restock, and come back in. 13) if you need just a little bit more of a stat to get a glyph on your paragon board look into essences at the apothecary, she sells one essence for every major stat and can push you over the edge you may need to activate a node on your paragon board and the passive bonus does stack with potions. 14) you can craft a large chunk of crafting materials at the apothecary, even silver ore. 15) if you only have one toon i suggest selling twice and salvaging once till you get to a place where you no longer are farming for straight upgrade but instead are farming for 3/4 rolls. then switch to purely selling as rerolling for a perfect item can eat millions of a gold very quickly. personal record is 60 million gold total to roll a single stat on an off hand totem. 16) EDIT- nm and helltides are great for leveling as the enemies will always be +2 your level at least. at 2 levels below enemies youre getting around 25% increased xp and at 10 lvl below enemies you are getting around 35% increased xp. so find where you can clear fast and not nearly die every pull while pushing enemy levels as high as you can. note, 95 is the highest overwold enemy level you can find outside of helltides and nm dungeons. so if you get that far once you hit 96 you will be actively loosing xp without doing one of those 2 things.
Arpg beginner here, should I grind out the renown /Lilith Statues/Discover Locations/etc all in WT1 and then jump to WT3? I finished the campaign and have just hit lvl 50, wanted to finish all that stuff before learning what gear to grind and where and what build I should use to do it.
@@Sevatar_VIIIth its easier in wt1 but you shouldnt be fighting too much anyway, but I cleared the map, so all the dungeons, all the statues, anything renown based i did in wt1 then moved back to the wt i normally played in.
Another helpful tip: For certain classes on certain gear it is very difficult to get specific affixes on items due to the large pool it is pulling from (i.e necro and rings). Necromancer has a HUGE pool of affixes it can get while rolling rings. To make things easier you can transfer the ring to a barbarian alt (who only has 4 class specific affixes for rings) and try rolling the enchant on there. As long as the affix you are rolling for isn't class specific, this can save you tons of time and money.
Game sure loves to drop +Curse, +Blood, +Cold damage, +Shadow damage, +dmg to injured, +summon etc. on by Bone Daddy personal twist build lol. God forbid I'd actually roll +physical, +bone dmg or +bone skills lol. Not even mentioning +crit chance (+crit dmg is good but there's an overabundance for _that_ one for me) Edit: AND OVERPOWER GOD HOW MANY OVERPOWER BUFFS WHYYYYYY
Everyone is so fixated on getting to the end as fast as possible...for what, for those same people to complain about a lack of endgame, its comical. Slow down and enjoy the game.
Nah hell yeah i hear you sometimes i dont understand alot of these creators mindset for playing a game....like why not enjoy yourself through the tiers and the game...there isnt enough endgame content to be rushing to anyway ...so at this point of the game its prolly just fun having like 2 characters to play around with a season...not 4 or 5 ....to end up having to delete eventually
Most learn this after playing mmos, when you get everything you want you usually quit the game enjoy the journey not the destination, rule in life aswell
Right? My friend talked me into getting this game. Then, he tells me skip the campaign and he can level me up “fast” to lvl 80. “You just stand in the corner”.. yea exactly what I want to do in a videogame. Sit in timeout and watching others have fun. So now I’m just playing solo and just enjoying the game like how we should…. BY PLAYING THE GAME. Idgaf if I’m the worst player ever as long as I’m friggin enjoying it. For some reason, he’s not understanding this concept
@@irl8796 you seem to be misunderstanding honestly, it's boring for them. The real fun begins when you start pushing and can kill mobs constantly instead of standing still waiting for your non-understanding friend to drag you through quest after quest to "level up" and doesn't pay attention to the damn story anyway. Most people do this and its extremely frustrating to play with a friend who claims "I wanna see the story and/or level up" but then doesn't pay attention to the story or decides leveling up is best done by staring at cut scenes and slow dialogues. It's inconsiderate unless you've clearly communicated that you want to play for the story and at that point.. you should be playing by yourself so you can play at your speed.
@@usefaababw I am not “misunderstanding”. It’s my opinion. I don’t agree with you. That doesn’t mean I am not understanding. I’m not going to say you don’t understand me, but I did not say “I want to level up”. I want to see the story through. I’m having fun with the story picking up on things. Saying “most people do this…. Then say “doesn’t pay attention” and then say “inconsiderate” is disrespectful and smug to say the least. Also, I don’t really know where all this is coming from. I want to play the game as it was intended as if it was released day 1 and he didn’t respect that getting frustrated with me and my wishes to not skip past everything and level up faster. I did communicate this, but it’s not inconsiderate if I didn’t communicate that. Nobody is obligated to tell others how you want to play the game you bought. The real fun is when I pick up the sticks and friggin play the way I want to and not be told I’m doing it wrong or should be doing this or that instead. Let me learn playing the campaign. Your last sentence contradicts everything you said
I like that you encouraged people to post tips in the comments. I usually go to the comment section on guide videos for that exact reason so it's good to hear someone facilitating it
@@davidrutledge7161 aspect of shielding storm. It comes on drops as opposed to a specific dungeon, but it's worth keeping/extracting every one you find
Solid points here. However, i did the Tier 4 capstone dungeon earlier than i should have and i felt SEVERELY handicapped going into world tier 4. I even found myself returning to tier 3 just so i could level up some more to even be able to run tier 4 to get better loot.
@@joshuadeboer8996just a lil tip start farming helltides in WT3 and turn them in WT4 for easy, good chances at ancestrals and uniques that’ll help you transition into full time WT4
@@joshuadeboer8996 You're definitely in the minority. I did it at 63 in a group on my druid. I was the only one who wasn't one shot by the boss and basically carried the fight reviving everyone. After farming in WT4, by 64 I was able to solo carry Elias with 3 others doing nothing, and literally could not be touched by anything he did. His summoned Balrogs did more damage. The majority of people can't beat Elias in their 60s, even experienced players. However, if you can, it's generally infinitely easier to just farm in WT4 even if you die. You should focus on multiplayer events, things where other people can inadvertently carry you through for loot.
World tier 4 will be tough in the first couple of hours but it will get better. Definitely run legion events as the higher level players will help carry you. Once you get a few ancestral gear it will be much easier. What shocked me was my first tier 4 world boss. There was a few lvl 100’s in the instance. The smoked the word boss before I could pop off 2 spells. Literally within 10 seconds. Have fun all
My biggest tip if you want to complete renown like all side dungeons and statues. Just drop to world tier 1 run fast and don’t care about loot. This will unlock all codex of power for all classes plus all the paragon.
@@HeyHappy-xu4oo well I meant if you really just wanted to unlock everything fast and get codex and statues before the season 1 started. But normally yes, you can run higher as long as you don’t die all the time.
Thank you. I was stacking the + dmg to chilled /frozen ,+ Burning etc.. replaced them with critical damage increase, critcal strike increase and vulnerable damage increase along with primary stat increase . This definitey improved my damage output !Thanks
I have damage to frozen on a few of my peices of gear as a frost build sorcerer, is it still better to look for other aspects such as crit damage/chance?
@@gruccigang0587 Yes the calculation for damage buckets seem higher for vulnerable damage and critical strike damage since it is factored(multiplied) considering all other damage factors compared to other factors like damage while freezed, stunned, immobilized, burning etc..
@@gruccigang0587both can be good. Look at it like this, the additive bucket still boosts the damage multiplied by the multiplicative buckets. This guy called damage to ccd enemies a “bait stat,” which is just objectively false. Look up Maxroll and similar think tank theory crafters if you want actual good advice about numbers and calculations. Most of those people are college educated and highly intelligent ARPG players. They establish the metas.
@@animaanalysis I am dubious as to whether they got their mana/damage/efficiency right for the Bone Spear meta though. Tons of points wasted on the tree for a complete waste of time spamming corpse explosion. With Iron Maiden you only need 1 click (or none) between spear casts. Tendrils is ofc. mandatory but not the explosion. Also why do these builds insist on having CD reduc when you barely use skills that HAVE cd?!? But maybe I'll eat my words later on Otherwise the page is generally good as a starting point using your own common sense/experience/testing I think I even saw a build for bone spear with 1h and off hand lol and 1 that didn't have the corpse tendril aspect for 2h but instead did the sacrifice passive there. WTF?!? How can 2% crit chance, 15% crit damage (and one more lesser stat I forgot) (compared to having it on anything else, not even mentioning amulet) be better than 60% more crit dmg and 20% more crit chance?!??! Some build also had the spear vulnerability one on 2h WHY??? It makes absolutely no sense It's not the shards that do dmg (well they do, if all hit the same target, but it's based off of the spear itself anyways??? So the shards will still do more dmg if you boost the main skill and not exclusively the shards? I need to test that more but atm my shards do half the dmg my main projectile does (ofc I have the shard aspect but on regular equipment and I'd lose 60% crit dmg if I swapped it around the other way) For posterity; with regular legendaries at lvl60 my build hit with 360k with the main projectile (after a corpse tendrils and Iron Maiden, as you do, and on full mana)
@@SebHaarfagre ??? Maxrolls endgame bone spear guide doesn’t USE corpse explosion? It used decrepify in its place focusing on making sure blood mist and bone storm are accessible all the time. They make a few weird decisions with their builds but they’re all extremely solid at a base and have a strong fundamental understanding of what makes things in the game string. I’m confused as to what you were looking at to have the problems you did.
I might have missed it, but it’s worth noting that you can collect Abberant Cinders in WT3, but turn them in on WT4. I do this currently, since I have a hard time surviving in WT4, and you lose half your Cinders when you die.
@@paulkemp8784 this has not been patched. I still turn in WT3 cinders in WT4 and get ancestral loot in mystery boxes (I'm lvl 65 was 62 ~2 hours ago). Please stop spreading false info. . The reason that Ancestral odds are low is cause the drop chances scale with your level- so you get chances on both sacred AND ancestral in the same box when you're lower than recommended. Either way- the fact that item lvl 750+ drops are being given to me in WT4 mystery boxes is a sign it still works.
I'm a super casual....and really appreciate the simplicity of your explanations ....I've been getting my ass kicked in T4.... I'm a rouge... gonna watch this again while addressing my gear!
Extremely helpful! Thank you. Felt a little lost after the campaign, then started doing helltides, died a few times, then found new gear, and now I’m able to take on multiple elites and take down bosses! Luckily found a lot of armor sacred uniques and gonna start leveling those glyphs.
This is completely unrelated, but I just wanted to say I just finished the Campaign and I'm thoroughly impressed. No, really. Not only do I have OCPD but I have a big nostalgia for the Blizzard North days. I went into the Campaign, soaking it all in. Don't know if it was because I took "breaks" doing world quests (I also love the open world system) but I absorbed all of it. And it's good. It's all actually _really_ good I dare say. I just want to say this because I want to thank and show appreciation for something well done. I think the story is great and the dialogues are masterful and my character fit so extremely well with "me" in the whole thing. I don't know if it's because I had so low expectations after Diablo III (it's not horrible... but it's "meh" :| ) but again, very pleasantly surprised and left an impression. Profound at times, even. But that may just be because of me. Still, good job and thank you Blizzard team!
Dude the crowd control gems actually make so much sense thanks, hardest part of a nightmare is getting 6-7 elites all with different crowd control skills making you stuck in one spot
The best Diablo content for a casual like me wanting to learn more that I have seen on the Internet. Organized and spoken. Easy to understand. Thank you!
AS a Barbarian I found two items that pretty much makes me unkillable. Im level 50 now and last time I died... I was level 23. The more enemies attack me at the same time, the less chance I have of dying. Its AMAZING. BTW the only thing that kills me is the "server disconnection". 😂 😂
The max evade stack is one of the best survivability affixes on this game i recon. Wich you get on the boots. Just being able to evade 2-3 times in succession is game changing.
15:02, definitely right about using topaz's, but damage reduction stats are multiplicative so 5 topaz's doesn't give 50% damage reduction, its closer to 40%.
Thank you for the tips. Honest suggestion : Make some headliners for each tip or add time tags so that we don't have to listen/watch the all video to know all the things probably everybody already know.
You dont need to go to WT4 before 65. I went to WT4 at 59 and wasted my time with deaths and non completion of activities. You still progress faster if you can grind WT3 content with ease as long as you focus on nightmare dungeons. Leeching off higher leveled players on legion events and world bosses are not an efficient use of your time. They come once every 2 hours, in that time span an average player should have finished 8-10 dungeon runs instead which is a much much better xp grind
its certainly going to vary from player to player, and build to build. definitely feel it out for yourself. Like i said in the video, you cant really say "this is the level to switch" -- too many variables. player skills, meta, rng. feel it out for sure and do whats right for your character! but def move to wt4 as soon as your *ready* cheers
Word of warning for those trying to enjoy the game: I got to world tier 4 at late 60s and it's kind of a pain. Ancestral nightmare dungeons start with lvl tier 21 which is lvl 74-76 enemies. I spend way more time in dungeons now so basically it would've been the same time played if I waited until I was the right level.. unless I did meta builds which aren't as fun for some people.
This. Going wt4 at 60 is crap unless you like just being carried in a lagfest. The whole ancestral is overrated. Replaced my last sacred at lvl 81. Doing content with mobs +5sh lvls instead of +15 allows you way more efficient build/gear. Go 65+ and do strongholds, these are lower level.
I’ll be honest I thought it was a good idea also but the truth is if your playing solo it’s insanely hard. I got to world tier 4 at level 60 rogue. And i couldn’t do any dungeons or some events. I went around doing the tree of whispers and just the open world to get ancestral gear. Now I’m back in world tier 3 doing nightmares so I can level up and get some paragon upgrades. Because no way in hell I can beat level 75 mobs in nightmare dungeons in world tier 4.
Good tips :) one thing, I don't think 5 topazes actually add up to 50% DR. If I'm not mistaken, if you have 5 times 10% DR, the game actually takes 10% off the damage, then takes 10% off the remainder and does that 3 more times. So 5 x 10% DR actually comes to about 41% reduction (0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 = 0.59, so 59% of the original damage remaining).
Yup, damage reductions stack multiplicatively. Otherwise everyone would just be running around taking no damage at all. It's very easy to notice especially on elemental resistances - can easily check how much total you actually got after adding that new item
So it goes from 34,4 (rounded down if conventional) to 41% for the 5th one. Good thing being aware, may be worth it slotting in anther gem or two then. Also I thought resistances was better than the measly skull armor bonus but maybe I'm mistaken (and depending on what you already have) and I guess that can be tested in game too easily.
Do not try capstone at 60 if u are new. Get at least 65. The boss basically one shots u at lower levels and it’s really just a waste of time, I was there and burnt all the adds in the way to the boss and had no chance on the boss.
Yeah at 60-65 you really need a tanky build with high single damage output, I was able to do it at 63 with pulverize Druid but it definitely wasn’t easy
@@callums8138 rogue is clearly best in slot for leveling but as a general rule its a waste of time til at least 65. most classes are much worse than rogue.
Yeah i am lvl 65 ice shard sorc and was breezing through almost all of t3. I too thought I was ready but Elias violently disagreed and now, after 30+ deaths, I am still at t3.
I went on discord and asked for help. 6 people immediately contacted me. A level 100 pretty much killed him instantly for me. I could only get Elias down 20-50% before I got one shotted by an attack solo.
Obols become cash dumps in late game for those who need the coin. The easiest way to make gold is to sell items. And obols gives plenty of legendaries. Don't underestimate how much that gear sells for. It is by far the biggest way to get coin when you need it.
I have a sorcerer build with lucky hit and high defensive skill and high offensive in my blizzard. I have the spawn ice spikes legendary aspect and I literally feel like a boss all the time. I have high damage to frozen and chilled enemies and I don’t ever really have a problem with anything. I think it’s pretty nice, plus my ice armor is pretty high, teleport is pretty high with a low cooldown, and my freeze is high. Most enemies don’t even make it to me before getting frozen or chill damaged to death. I also have a legendary spect for a barrier that spawns when hitting a elite enemy or boss so half the time I’m barriered up not taking any damage too
Good video, Tier IV really being a major boost to gear is super important and it feels like you wasted so much time messing around in Tier 3 hunting for things only to realize there are much larger upgrades to be have at IV. Obviously not to say you should beat your head against wall as a level 50 in that capstone dungeon solo, but definitely not a bad idea to take on the challenge if you have the gear and ability to make it happen sooner than later.
Damage reduction/Max health > Damage reduction while injured > %Armor for defense stats unless youre barb, in which case switch armor and injured, and put DR bleeding before injured.
Underrated comment, although I can't make them myself atm, I've seen ones that give 20% reduc (!!!) on primary resource, others do 20% more dmg (or more) to certain types, or boost your crit chance and crit dmg, and what else... also +5% experience! What's not to love
Grinding experience in one place over and over again, no matter how effective it is and no matter which game you play, it's the fastest way to get bored with the title.
personally I was one shotted too much even with 3 defensive aspects at 60 in wt4, I went back to wt3 and completed all renown to level 5 and went back at 66, this took less time because each dungeon only took a couple of minutes and the 20 extra paragon points was quite a power spike. I also found that in wt4 that the CC chains are a lot more common, so the suggestion to get the gems that reduce damage while CC'ed is great advice unless you are running a build that never gets cc'ed
Good video, but a bit misleading about the rolls. Each aspect has 1 roll. If there are two rollable stats, their values will both reflect the single roll. Ie if you get a 1-10s boost on a cooldown reduction and get a 7, you will also see a corresponding roll on the other stat that reflects the 70 percentile of that stat's range (i.e 10-60% would be a 45%).
It's actually 25 and not 20 paragon points... 20 from renown, 4 from altars of Lilith and 1 from actually getting to lvl50 which is so massive and let's you almost finish the starting board right at the get go!
"Upgrade anxiety" : I've never heard of that term or played any Diablo games before this one, but I understood what you meant by that IMMEDIATELY! I have a lvl 81 Necro
I recently got my sorcerer to WT4 and I will tell you there is a big difference in difficulty. I had it easy as a sorcerer in WT3; you won't in WT4. Also note that sorcerer, once you get your special gear (gear with the abilites you only get from RNG), is practically immortal until WT4 where you will die frequently. Considering that, do you really think you need to rush to WT4? I think not. Stay in WT3 as long as you need to, in order to get your special gear; and when things get too easy, then move to WT4. Things got too easy for my sorc around level 58. I don't think that will happen with any other class. Maybe druid.
Aspects are not affected by item tier (sacred, ancestral). Some aspects are affected by item level, but most are not. Saying Aspects are more likely to roll max just because they are ancestral is misinformation and there is no evidence to substantiate this claim.
You seem to be confused. While the range the aspects can take is the same across quality tiers, the chance of high or low rolls is different for each tier of gear. So normal, sacred, and ancestral items can all roll say 5% - 20%, ancestral items have a higher chance of rolling a high chance, so it's more likely to get a perfect 20%. But perfect 20% items can be found on normal legendary items too
@@noah9942. I am not confused. That is exactly the point I am disputing. You are saying this like it is a fact, but it is no more than a theory unless you can provide more than "Source: trust me bro"
Really great explanations and video! I've been following you for many years and I cannot believe how much you've grown in your execution! Thanks for all you do for us!
I jumped into my friends game World tier 3 after a couple nights off due to work. They were doing the capstone dungeon so I basically got into world tier 4. Then they pushed me through another dungeon on World tier 4 now I’m level 56 with a bunch of locked level 60 gear 😂
I loved crowded sage while leveling, but it doesn't scale well. I'd rather just not lose the health in the first place because once you start to get thousands of health points, that max 200 health per second can't keep up. They hit hard.
My problem is more the loot. I seem to be stuck in t3 because the items I need for the build will not drop with good stats/ilvl and crafting it myself is too costly to do with low ilvl items (fginding the higher ilvl items is rare). Tried passing the capitone dungeon to get to the next level repeatedly and the boss kicks my butt every time (thinking about finding someone who can carry me through that stupid boss fight).
Thanks for your video it was very informative. Also make sure that you are paying attention to the map because the map gives out events that will help with leveling.
The shield aspect, forged with a Mass Fortify System is God tier if you have a high attack speed, ran 2 aspects for a 100% buff to attack speed with a 6k dmg shield and around 80% fortify generation and basically couldn’t die!!
Great content. Informative and concise. Gained loads of knowledge. I have been playing tier 2 and I am level 54! Might try and bump up to tier 3 at sooner rather than later.
Diablo 4 isn't really clear on how to do things. I know a lot of people who thought that once you clear a dungeon, you just get that ability as a passive. And I'm at level 50 and I have no idea what you're talking about as far as world tiers. I'm still in the same place where I started. Am I supposed to go to a new harder location?
Offense and defense is a balance. If you kill the enemies, they don't attack you, so you require less defense. It also depends on play style, whether you're close or ranged fighting. I'm a necro with 14 minions (including golem), they take so much aggro therefor shielding me while they are very hard to kill and deal out so much damage, I'm not getting attacked a lot really. Kalan's Edict is actually pretty often up for me. My minions can take on a boss on their own without me attacking, same for the butcher: I just have to evade his blows, the minions do the killing. I only curse (both curses!) and heal them if needed... I'm lvl 69, switched to WT4 at 65 and have no problems surviving there or running dungeons.
@@123Peter my minions stood there while I ran circles around pillars trying to evade him. Last night I managed to kill him. My minions didn’t attack him until I let him hit me.
For ppl who can't log in, you've got to stop spamming the login server. They're being DDoS'd. Ping the server in a command prompt until it stops timing out, then you're good to go. To deal with a DDoS, they have to determine the IPs it's coming from. The traffic from thousands of ppl repeatedly hitting the login server legitimately over and over makes that harder. Plus, you'll flood your router and give yourself other errors and need to flush your DNS. While being DDoS is something Blizzard isn't doing to themselves, it'd sure be nice if they did a better job communicating how players can reduce overall downtime by making it easier to stop the DDoS.
I spend a lot of time in WT3 even close to level 80 for when I want to grind for items. Grind for high number affixes or aspects, gold, components, etc.
As others have said here, the advice “get to W4 asap” isn’t helpful. The 50-70 range is probably the toughest in the game when you move up. If you could mow this content down with your gear, you wouldn’t be watching this video. This needed to talk about how to farm gear where you can beat mobs 20 levels higher than you.
Great video Lucky! Would you mind doing one explaining the Paragon board in detail? I'm approaching level 50 and don't understand how the Paragon board works at all, since this is essentially my first Diablo game.
Save your strongholds for WT4. The mobs will always be just 2 levels higher than you, no matter which tier you take them in. So if you get to WT4 early and want to get some early ancestral gear, strongholds are the easiest path. That is my only tip.
I suggest recording your webcam separately when you're making videos (not streaming), the cuts are a little jarring when you're looking at the game footage
Im far behind because of little time, but ive followed preferred stats as much as possible on gear. Third tier has been silly easy on my pulverize druid.
I dont understand why people wanna ruish through the game byspeeding through just to get ancest items. I rather enjoy toying around learning new build. I love the many options you have you build out wjhatever you want. I tried the bleeding spin to win and it was boring. I use SPin, but really just for introducing bleed in the aera around me, kick and enemy into a group...BOOM!!! - :D
I just did my first nightmare dungeon and I'm level 52 nacro, did it solo.. was HARD! I'm using bone build. Bone storm being my main damage dealer, need to get the cooldown sorted, my corpse explosion is great. Just hard solo that's all.
Sounds like a weird but interesting build :) If you haven't already, get the +ulti cd reduction on blood orb pickup (preferably good roll), +bone storm auto consuming corpses (it does all at once mind you when you cast it, but good roll doesn't really matter that much (?)) and the one that has a chance to drop blood orbs when you consume corpses (I think was the proc?) I'm not sure how the cd can be reduced more except spending tons of essence (bone spirit+regen) via the passive Oh and your basic skill would have to be haemorrhage then too although it wont do too much I think With the above mentioned, you should be at around 28-30 sec after a short-medium fight, without much hard cd reduc on gear
say your pants didn't have +756 life but a pair drops that does have it with pretty much same attribute but you lose 100 armor, which are you going to pick
most danger when you are crowd controlled? disagree, players can break cc with abilities that make them unstoppable, bigger danger comes from getting 1 shot offscreen. rubies help against that more.
Every single one of my deaths have been because I was crowd controlled and couldn't get out. I have never taken damage off screen. Don't know how that would work, hope I never find out.
Should I do renown before world tier 4 for the paragon points? Do you unlock renown and legendary aspect by clearing a nightmare dungeon, where you have never been before?
You gotta do it at some point, and the sooner you do it, the sooner you get those 20 paragon points (lots of power), so knocking it out is a great idea
Had a lvl 64 necro ask for help on the wt4 dungeon, I was a lvl 56 charged bolt sorc. Took 30 minutes but the dude was chill. Jumped into wt4 and holy hell I have to use every ability/potion just to stay alive again an elite pack
Question: playing sorcerer focused on ice build and I freeze/crowd control mobs. My main weapon has high damage stats against both vulnerable and crowd controlled enemies. I assume the damage boost against crowd controlled is exponential with the vulnerable damage boost?
It's somewhat misleading that Ancestral gear is necessarily better than Sacred or just any rare gear. The explicit affix minimum and maximum rolls (besides the legendary aspect roll as you pointed out) are the same for a rare, a Sacred, and an Ancestral item of the same item power level.
This all sounds amazing. I am level 53 and playing it by ear on how to level up and put my points. I also haven't gotten one insanely powerful anything that one used to get at my level. No one clans anymore, which leads to really cool drops some would give you. I ma close to not playing this game anymore because one has to buy the coolest skins and such also.
Would it be better right after finishing campaign and hitting lvl 50 to grind out the renown/Lilith statues/discover locations/etc all in world tier 1? Then jump to WT3 afterwards? I'm new to ARPGS and learning all this for the first time.
I'm sure as a TH-camr with 154k subs, you know a lot, however, why would someone go fight level 70+ mobs at level 60? Most people who are playing are not going to do that as they will die a lot. Even someone who I'd say is one tier up from casual, I'm not going to do that.
That increased armor aspect is actually pretty garbage. Each stack is individual, meaning each stack goes away after 4secs. So unless you have some way to get and keep 50 stacks a lot, it's basically useless. I tested it myself and got rid of it asap on my bone necro
Great video, very helpful for me, as I'm lvl 52 and just finished the campaign. I think I'll finish off the statues before going into wt3, then I'll finish off the rest of the renown there.
I don't know how to build a durable Barb though she does about 1900-2000% Overpower Damage. Her name is Thuum. Title: Overwhelming Voice. Some enemies I obliterate with War Cry + Charge but she also gets smoked like a fancy Cuban. Advice welcome.
Also it's extremely rare for druid to get max health on any gear. I have maybe gotten like 3 pieces the whole time I have played. They need fortify. As a main stat.
It is important for players to understand the importance of stats like willpower on their at every level, I didn't and I am paying for it. I am lvl 50 and can't continue my paragon board because I don't have 160 willpower to get my first damage increase
Im a level 63 sorc. I made a T19 NM sigil. I was able to blast through lvl 72's in it. although they hit me like my pimp I made it through. going to try capstone for WT4 today. pretty sure I'll be good

And I've got alot of defense but not alot of life.
Well shit now I see I run alot of damage to chilled and vulnerable and cold . I get ya now
THX!! ...more code possible? 🙂
from someone who has sank more hours into this game than I should.
ALWAYS INCREASE YOUR HEALTH POT
6) 1-50 is your introduction to the game and your class, 50-70 is your testing ground for your build, 70-100 is you farming 3/4 ancestral bis and unique and aspects to bring it to its full potential, dont be frustrated if you arent getting amazing rolls on aspects and gear, you will throw away thousands of pieces and eventually find that one piece that is just perfect.
Just started the game, people please like this reply so I can come back to this knowledge
Very useful thank you
Really appreciate this man. Screenshot all the tips
As long as the affix you are rolling for isn't class specific, this can save you tons of time and money.
specifically if this ring doesnt have any other specific class affixes, otherwise it would still be considered necro ring.
That's actually a great advice, thanks!
Can I ask where I can find this information so that I'd know when to roll on whom?
Except I want minions affixes so... kinda stuck but you are correct generally
Game sure loves to drop +Curse, +Blood, +Cold damage, +Shadow damage, +dmg to injured, +summon etc. on by Bone Daddy personal twist build lol.
God forbid I'd actually roll +physical, +bone dmg or +bone skills lol.
Not even mentioning +crit chance (+crit dmg is good but there's an overabundance for _that_ one for me)
Edit: AND OVERPOWER GOD HOW MANY OVERPOWER BUFFS WHYYYYYY
I usually go to the comment section on guide videos for that exact reason so it's good to hear someone facilitating it
For all my Necros - there's an aspect that gives you a barrier whenever bone storm hits an enemy. It's pretty op
Its a staple to my build now can’t imagine playing without it
What is the aspect?
I’ve been saving those! Nice
It's insanely op. Almost invincible for the duration lol
I’m in that spot right now I beat the dungeon at lvl 64 and have no chance farming word tier 4 rn
@@Keedz do aberrant cinders not reset when i change world tiers?
@@yuuyuu_8 not if you do it through the statue in main town
But wouldn’t you get better XP if you run those dungeons on a higher tier? I think that kills two birds with one stone

But maybe I'll eat my words later on
Otherwise the page is generally good as a starting point using your own common sense/experience/testing
I think I even saw a build for bone spear with 1h and off hand lol and 1 that didn't have the corpse tendril aspect for 2h but instead did the sacrifice passive there.
It makes absolutely no sense
It's not the shards that do dmg (well they do, if all hit the same target, but it's based off of the spear itself anyways??? So the shards will still do more dmg if you boost the main skill and not exclusively the shards? I need to test that more but atm my shards do half the dmg my main projectile does (ofc I have the shard aspect but on regular equipment and I'd lose 60% crit dmg if I swapped it around the other way)
For posterity; with regular legendaries at lvl60 my build hit with 360k with the main projectile (after a corpse tendrils and Iron Maiden, as you do, and on full mana)
If you can't reliably farm on WT4, you stand a pretty good chance of just dying when you go to turn them in honestly

Are you sure that multiple sources of the same type, like topaz's, aren't added before they're multiplied with other damage reduction bonuses?
So should i throw on my gear 3 or 4 topaz's instead of 5 ?

@@SebHaarfagreuntil they buff resistances the armor is way better right now. Definitely run skulls in your jewelry

Makes sense to put the disobedience aspect on an amulet for extra 50%. Also dodge chance is underrated imo.
I'm new and I'm level 55 and I've been making all these mistakes. Thankfully I still got time to right the ship. Thanks for the advice.
Obols become cash dumps in late game for those who need the coin. The easiest way to make gold is to sell items. And obols gives plenty of legendaries. Don't underestimate how much that gear sells for. It is by far the biggest way to get coin when you need it.
Exactly what I do
I have a sorcerer build with lucky hit and high defensive skill and high offensive in my blizzard. I also have a legendary spect for a barrier that spawns when hitting a elite enemy or boss so half the time I’m barriered up not taking any damage too
I have same thing in my sorcerer. I just blast everyone. Quite fun.
For Numeric Aspects (eg: barrier) upgrade the item to max before u extract to increase its value
Didnt knew that, ty
Don't forget elixirs! Easy to do and very helpful!
Underrated comment, although I can't make them myself atm, I've seen ones that give 20% reduc (!!!) on primary resource, others do 20% more dmg (or more) to certain types, or boost your crit chance and crit dmg, and what else... also +5% experience!
What's not to love
Every TH-camr - "Just do the level 70 dungeon at level 60 it's easy."
The 756 max life on the pants is crazy
5:22 What a good tip
Lucky Ghost, saving me in ESO for years and now also Diablo IV 😆
It’s already been proven.
It actually seems like the opposite. Majority of aspects in t4 are terrible.
But perfect 20% items can be found on normal legendary items too
@@noah9942. The biggest factor in rolls is item power >725. Ranges are predetermined by item type and item power, being maxed at 825.
This was by-far the best video I've watched on DIV so far. Lots of actionalble helpful advice. Thanks a ton!
I jumped into my friends game World tier 3 after a couple nights off due to work. They were doing the capstone dungeon so I basically got into world tier 4. Then they pushed me through another dungeon on World tier 4 now I’m level 56 with a bunch of locked level 60 gear 😂
Oh sick! its cool to see an Ever Legion ad instead of RAID for once.
Healing while attacking + healing while many enemies are near + healing while not attacked is my way to go. Who needs healing potions
I loved crowded sage while leveling, but it doesn't scale well. I'd rather just not lose the health in the first place because once you start to get thousands of health points, that max 200 health per second can't keep up. They hit hard.
@@chargedattack3559 have to get rid of it eventually but works well for now in world 3
My problem is more the loot.
One of the most helpful videos I’ve seen yet. Thank you
Great content.
Is completing a LVL70 Dungeon possible while LVL60?
The advice here does basically seem "get boosted"
How did u get 14? I have multiple gear pieces that are supposed to add 2 extra minions but after the first gear piece I don't get anymore minions.
@@drewbienewbie03xx81 5 skirmishers +3 (amulet gives 50% boost to the +2). 3+2 mages. Golem. 8+5+1=14
I wish the butcher targeted my minions. The 3 times I ran into the butcher I was served up for dinner as my minions stood there laughing at me.
@@Tonyp3 he doesn't target the minions, but the minions target him
@@123Peter my minions stood there while I ran circles around pillars trying to evade him. Last night I managed to kill him. My minions didn’t attack him until I let him hit me.
Probably one of the most informative videos for Diablo 4 that's out there. Nice work!
This just shows me at level 53 I don't have a clue as to what I'm doing! Love this game, so much to learn great video.
bruh...here i thought i had to wait till 70...like my build can handle 10 above my level already. Need to get grooving on these tips!
Yeah when he said that I was like okay but what about before that? I want to be prepared for W4 😆
Great video Lucky! Would you mind doing one explaining the Paragon board in detail? I'm approaching level 50 and don't understand how the Paragon board works at all, since this is essentially my first Diablo game.
Will do!
That would be dope!
For some rando comments on the reddit i was waiting to hit 70 before doing cap dungeon. Thanks to your video I am breezing through it at 66!
Very helpful info vs the defensive aspects, bcus ive been shooting for raw power. You got my sub
I’m still world tier 1 at lvl 50, I’m guessing I should bump it up?
Sounds like a weird but interesting build :) If you haven't already, get the +ulti cd reduction on blood orb pickup (preferably good roll), +bone storm auto consuming corpses (it does all at once mind you when you cast it, but good roll doesn't really matter that much (?)) and the one that has a chance to drop blood orbs when you consume corpses (I think was the proc?)
I'm not sure how the cd can be reduced more except spending tons of essence (bone spirit+regen) via the passive
Oh and your basic skill would have to be haemorrhage then too although it wont do too much I think
With the above mentioned, you should be at around 28-30 sec after a short-medium fight, without much hard cd reduc on gear
Now I understand my issues with world tier 3...
Thank you for this very good video
say your pants didn't have
+756 life but a pair drops that does have it with pretty much same attribute but you lose 100 armor, which are you going to pick
most danger when you are crowd controlled? disagree, players can break cc with abilities that make them unstoppable, bigger danger comes from getting 1 shot offscreen. rubies help against that more.
Every single one of my deaths have been because I was crowd controlled and couldn't get out. I have never taken damage off screen. Don't know how that would work, hope I never find out.
the point is that rubies help in both situations
@@Charles-gz7xuA big one seems to be the corpse bows. Friggin skelly snipers, man.
I'm sure someone else said this already but I'll say it again. The ultra rares can only drop from lvl 85+ mobs. Not that it'll matter anyway.
Trying to group with players in D4 is like trying to paint with spork.
so your saying this old guy grinding it out at 58 still in WT1 is a basic waste of time...I miss Atari somedays
😊
Agreed. Even if a lvl 60 character makes it through wt3 nightmare capstone they'll be in for quite a shock facing Elias 2.0 😂
That increased armor aspect is actually pretty garbage. Each stack is individual, meaning each stack goes away after 4secs. So unless you have some way to get and keep 50 stacks a lot, it's basically useless. I tested it myself and got rid of it asap on my bone necro
Stacking DoTs keeps it maxed. I do this on my Sorc and Necro.
I said I’m doing good but I’m also doing a barbarian for a tank. I notice he’s doing a necro. Wouldn’t it be a better control or damage dealer?
It is important for players to understand the importance of stats like willpower on their at every level, I didn't and I am paying for it. I am lvl 50 and can't continue my paragon board because I don't have 160 willpower to get my first damage increase
Im a level 63 sorc. I made a T19 NM sigil. I was able to blast through lvl 72's in it. although they hit me like my pimp I made it through. going to try capstone for WT4 today. pretty sure I'll be good
good luck!
Stupid question. What do you mean by re-rolling a piece of gear? How do you do this?
Really good video man. Some valid points and players should take note n help themselves! Even 1 I didn’t know lol. Gg
