Went back and watched the interrogation Owens was speaking about and the only thing the detective didnt say was the very last sentence you commonly hear"with these rights in mind do you still want to talk with us" but she did ask everything else including"did anyone threaten you etc to talk" and most importantly "do you understand everything i've read to you" and the answer from Sarah was "yes" and she confirmed it wasn't the 1st time she was read her Miranda Rights...not gonna lie Owen's motions were kinda ridiculous but if Sarah is running the ship im not surprised he's making these kinds of arguments🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️Great vid as always❤ & I hope everyone has a wonderful day 🥰
In the car interview, SB wasn't detained or called to the station and willingly got into the cop car to speak with them. They mirandized her even though they were not required to. When they spoke to SB at the LE station, The detective's had Sarah Boone sign a Waiver of her rights, instead of asking her out loud. I guarantee you that she signed that she understood them and choose to waive her rights and to speak with them anyway. They could have gone one step further and asked if there was any reason she wished to talk to a lawyer prior to speaking to them, but they were not required to do that. SB thought she could convince them she wasn't at fault so she wanted to talk to them.
Queenofhearts, thanks for explaining. I’m no lawyer but at this point it makes no sense to be arguing about a card! Hadn’t she had Miranda rights read to her more than one time. In 4 years surely she knows what they are.
Her interviews, sworn under oath, directly contradict their defense that she felt that she had to kill him. That's why he's trying to get them thrown out.
Thank you Peter for spending over an hour updating us on the SB hearing from yesterday! 💗 I do think that she will have to testify if she is claiming self-defense.

Yes I'd say SB is in the drivers seat and she is telling the lawyer what defense he will use in her defense, not him telling her what will and will not be helpful to her. SB is the one asking him to make these ridiculous motions.
The judge in Carly Gregg was my favorite part of the trial. I haven't watched any trials from Mississippi, maybe they are different there. He said if anyone reacted to verdict he would put them in jail for 30 days😮
Did you see him get mad with the defence yesterday! The trial was a tough one and I think the jury got it right but the judge was great to watch. Definitely no nonsense!
Owens claim the detective didn't ask Sarah a question in the end. I figured he meant the female detective didn't ask her if she understood the rights that had been read to her. I went back an listened to the interrogation with Sarah and that question was clearly asked and Sarah answered yes that she indeed did understand.
Please Sarah hair and makeup won’t make a difference. Peter, I didn’t appreciate the State referencing Sarah as if she’s still in her pro se position. The female Detective did do something incorrectly, b/c the male detective put his hand up to stop the female detective before she cuffed her. The female detective didn’t read off a card, but started to read her charges and cuff her before confirming that everything she said was truthful and accurate.
He's trying to say up for a continuance and an appeal. At one point he whined that the state was prepared for the BSS crap, and they didn't have to ask for a continuance.

I imagine that while on the stand, Sara Boone will start out calm but may get rather defensive along the way. But she may surprise us!! As for her wanting makeup, that's not so unusual a request, but Judge Kraynick was not the person to ask. If I heard right, it's Miss Click who handles those matters. LOL! When Owens asked about the makeup, Judge Kraynick paused a couple of seconds before answering. I had to laugh! In either case, this is going to be one very intriguing trial! Not letting Jorge out of the suitcase and going to bed instead was an act taken because she was afraid of what he’d do if she let him out because she had Battered Wife Syndrome. That’s the Defense strategy as I understand it.

He can't quit. The judge won't allow it this close to trial. At the same time, he's taken on a virtually impossible case, and his best bet seems to try to set up an appeal.
When cops ask you to come in and answer some questions, you don't have to you can always stay at home. When she came in to talk , the police were free to ask what they want and use it against her
They can suppress the entire interrogation. She was alone with him and zipped him into a suitcase and left him there to die. He didn’t zip himself into that suitcase. She’s guilty.
Ok so bottom line - if she was terrified of his actions when he got out because she was a BS - then she would never have just went up to bed. Never. Who goes to bed knowing or even thinking they may wake up to a beating any moment. She also hammered home so hars that he could get out. So it doesnt fly that she would take that risk.
Self defense is a probably the best strategy given that her phone is so incriminating. She needs to use that to her advantage since she says “for everything you’ve done to me.” That conjures up self defense and battered spouse.
If I was a juror on this case as soon as I hear she purposely went upstairs to bed. That's it for me You accidently fall asleep by sitting down and falling asleep climbing stairs getting into bed is a deliberate action

The defense is going to have to explain to the jury why she lied about it for more than four years. And why their expert witnesses didn't think she was a battered spouse for for years, but changed her mind right before trial. I wish I could be in the room when Owens figures out that the cell phone image that they've had the whole time includes all the information on the cell phone. This hearing is the first time that Owens mentioned that he had requested the card. He did not include that in his motion. It's not the state's fault that he waited until the eleventh hour to mention the wait time for his request.
Hi, do you know at the end of the interrogation where they make Sarah swear everything she told them was the whole truth- would that come into play at all?
Sarah Boone is ready for her close-up, Mr. DeMille! Granting of battered spouse syndrome defense is going to bite her in the behind. This will limit the usefulness of all her claims to the cops immediately after the events it was unintentional/accident. That statementment by her lawyer is a bad play.

Someone to actual do her hair? 🤣🤣🤣. Street cloths is standard. But no one gets a hairdresser. Obvious no friends or even Ex husband able to bring her own cloths? That is why needs charity?
Basically reason do narrative is because lawyer knows will lie. So why allowed as basically allowing defendant to commit perjury and all know except jury.
😂 Haven't gotten to that part yet. I think Sarah forgot we have all seen the initial police interaction & interrogation videos at the station. She looks the exact same in court that she looked in everyday life...not that if she was a beauty queen out of custody that she would be allowed to get glam for court. Just take a look at Courtney Cleney. 😬
From what I remember, Owen’s attempted to get a plea deal just before he officially took on Sarah as a client but the state said nope. I think the state is very confident in their case. They’re not offering anything because they know they have her.
That’s why want her interrogation thrown out. Make sure jury doesn’t know how often she lied.
It's hard to claim battered spouse when Sarah insisted on an accident in the interrogation.

I'm sorry, I can't fault the state for taking the position that "nobody told us about battered wife." How many times was Boone blatantly told something and then she claimed she didn't know because of [insert meaningless reason here]. She and her team can get a taste of her own medicine.
She should take tips from Lori vallow. Skittles for lipstick and blush 😂
Someone to actual do her hair? 🤣🤣🤣. Street cloths is standard. But no one gets a hairdresser. Obvious no friends or even Ex husband able to bring her own cloths? That is why needs charity?
Miranda doesn't have to be verbatim.
Well I doubt she's allowed a curling iron or hair dryer as she could use the electrical cords to hurt herself or somebody else and the item itself
Basically reason do narrative is because lawyer knows will lie. So why allowed as basically allowing defendant to commit perjury and all know except jury.
Court room sound is low. Your voice is loud
Of Course she wants hair and makeup 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
😂 Haven't gotten to that part yet. I think Sarah forgot we have all seen the initial police interaction & interrogation videos at the station. She looks the exact same in court that she looked in everyday life...not that if she was a beauty queen out of custody that she would be allowed to get glam for court. Just take a look at Courtney Cleney. 😬
Could someone explain if there has been an offer of plea deal or not?
From what I remember, Owen’s attempted to get a plea deal just before he officially took on Sarah as a client but the state said nope. I think the state is very confident in their case. They’re not offering anything because they know they have her.
Terrible sound, can barely hear the lawyer talking
She pushed him down the stairs, alledgly...🤔, alledgly causing Jorge's blunt force trauma... 🤷🏽♀️
