    ---------------------------------
    By far and away, the most overpowered ability in Final Fantasy 7 that can be accessed early is the fabled Beta Enemy Skill. This spell, once learned can inflict massive amounts of Fire damage to all enemies in battle and is powerful enough to one shot most random encounters for the forseeable future. Even bosses are going to struggle to match the player's party with Beta in the arsenal!
    Of course, getting it early is often seen as tricky. It can only be learned from the very strong Midgar Zolom. However, with the correct setup its really quite simple :)

    Beta, combined with a high magic stat, is super for power-leveling in Junon (vs the secret disc 2 monsters you can fight when triggering the alarm). The sweeper type enemies are susceptible to mini, which leaves only Matra Magic as a threat, and the other guys are weak against fire. Low on mana? Just visit the Junon Inn, it's cheap, and has a save point.

    I did everything *except* using the gravibals. I didn't even think to use those. It'll be much easier for me next time. Also, I recently learned that you'll want to select cure/hi potion on yourself before he starts his beta attack so that you'll heal yourself right afterward. The last time, I selected a hi potion on myself during his beta animation, and he immediately attacked me afterward.

    Good video but personally I don't really bother with poison. I Just use sense materia so that I know how much HP the Zolom has left and I attack it with physical attacks and Ice magic (it's weakness), until it rears up. At this point I no longer use Cloud to attack to avoid being ejected and continue to attack until it's HP is less than about 800 at which point it will use Beta.

    Hm I wrote guides for game in 1997 from what I remmber the set up is this level 15 plus you need aenemey skill and luck to not get kicked out elemental fire in ur armour the talisman to boost mgd put it on red13 he has the highest use poison and gravity balls or mantra magic go in with full limits using mindblow will cause him to not have enough magic to cast also he use it as a final attack also back row with the party you can use poison and wait as beta is normally a counter attack I beat the zolom at level 15 survived beta and cast it the second you get it if only 1 party member is left ur fucked as he will use a physical attack right after u can cheat this by saving a limit for aries as limits automatically cancel all action including enemy attacks boom done OR YOU CAN RUN RIGHT THROUGH with luck.

I actually like both remake and XV equally although the open world can be a little distracting I thought it was an incredible experience!

    @nilpo 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This is either very easy or a huge headache. It depends on the playthrough. On this playthrough, he will not stop following Beta with a physical attack. Gonna have to grind the grasslands for a few more levels. Ideally Cloud's HP needs to be above 600. Otherwise, you rely too much on luck.

    Deadly waste didn't poison him hahaha i tried poison materia too, didn't work.
    Tried again, I poisoned him... but he tail whipped cloud, who i use with enemy skill, out of the fight.... I did EXACTLY everything you said.. I did not attack him once with cloud! this method did not work....
    And so I kept trying, got him to cast beta, cloud survived but barely, then he IMMEDIATELY attacked again right after and killed cloud. Game over!

    Can you use two enemy skill materia on one party member? I’ve had varied results with having one character with two ES Materia?

    • @VoteRPG4President282
      @VoteRPG4President282 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on what you want to use it for.
      If you are using ES to get Skills, then it's a bit tricky. If an ES is on one Materia but not the other, then the character will never learn the Skill for the other Materia. Thus, if you want to get all the Skills, you'll need to make sure that the Skill you are trying to get is not already on any of your currently equipped ES Materia.
      In terms of using multiple ES Materia with the same Skills on them, there is no added effect.

      @@scout_princess He ONLY USES "Beta" When He HITS BELOW "1000" HP(And IF You Don't "Kill" Him In The "Process"(It's Like A "FINAL COUNTERATTACK" But Not A "FINAL ATTACK")). AS Fuzz "Demonstrated"(AND As I "Explained", The BEST WAY To LEARN It Is As Follows:
      1. GIVE The "Character" The "Enemy Skill" Materia That Doesn't Have "Beta" THAT, And Also PUT "Elemental-Fire" On His/Her "Armor", And ALSO PUT "Cure-All" On That Character(Equip That Character With A "Talisman" As Well). DO NOT GIVE That Character ANY OTHER "Magic" Materia, THAT Character SHOULD NOT Be Doing ANY DMG Against The "Midgar Zolom" And THUS, Should Be DOING NOTHING BUT Keeping The "Team" AT FULL HP. The REASON For That Is Because The "Midgar Zolom" Has A "Counter" To "DMG" Where He "Kicks Out" A "Character" When He GETS BELOW "50%" Of His "MAX HP". ONLY Your "Other 2" Characters Should Be DISHING OUT ALL The "DMG". Magic Like "Bio", "Quake", ETC. Works Well, And He's SUSCEPTIBLE To The "Poison" Status. IF You Got Some "GraviBalls" From Those "DeenGlows"(They DROP Them) In The "Train Graveyard" Earlier Like "Fuzz" Said, Those Are ALSO Effective"(He's SUSCEPTIBLE TO "Gravity"!).
      2. EVERYONE Should Be In The "Back Row" AND In "Sadness" Status(THIS CUTS The "DMG" From The "Midgar Zolom's" Physical Attacks Down To LIKE "150").
      3. Your MAIN GOAL Is To KEEP The "Character" With The "Enemy Skill" Materia AT FULL HP AT ALL TIMES While Your "Other 2" DISH OUT The "Damage" With "Everything" You Have(From "GraviBalls"(But DON'T USE ALL THEM Because They Are RARE), "Bio", "Quake", ETC.). EVENTUALLY, The "Midgar Zolom" Will RISE UP And Get "Angrier". KEEP UP The "Onslaught" UNTIL He "Kicks Out" ONE Of "Those", Then HAVE The "Other" That's REMAINING(While STILL KEEPING The "One" With The "Enemy Skill" Materia AT FULL HP) Dish Out The "Rest" Of The "Damage". He'll CAST "Beta" Shortly After. FROM THERE, You Can HEAL Your LAST STANDING CHARACTER With A "Hi-Potion" OR The "Cure" Spell And Then FINISH HIM With "Beta". IF He's "Poisoned", He'll ALSO TAKE "Gradual Damage"!

    I have had the Midgar Zolom eject party members that haven't attacked him before. It has almost seemed random at times.
    I'm surprised you didn't at least have restore materia on the other two. Each part member having restore makes this fight much easier.
    I usually just wait a little while to learn this skill. You can get a HP Plus materia from Junon, and then a fire ring at Costa Del Sol. When you get the buggy back and return with these equipted Zolom isn't nearly as intimidating. Not to mention, you'll have learned Lazer with two enemy skills at that point. That is easier than farming graviballs
    To me it is worth waiting a little while to learn Beta. It cost to much MP early game, and Matra Magic is effective at weakening enough early game to get you through enough battles to return prepared

    • @FuzzfingerGaming
      @FuzzfingerGaming  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I only have one restore materia right now, but as you can see with the right setup that shouldn't be a problem. A few people on Gamefaqs have noted that his eject seems to have some kind of random element to it, but that must be a bug as far as I know.

    VERY WELL DONE Getting BETA Early! Looks Like My Strategy Worked! Normally Though, Red XIII Has The Most HP At This Point. ANOTHER Thing You Can Do Is Throw A "Hyper" At Midgar Zolom And Put HIM In FURY Status. That Tends To Make BETA MISS Sometimes. Also Do A Video On How To EASILY Learn "Chocobuckle"! A LOT Of People MESS THIS ONE UP Because Of ONE LITTLE TINY WRONG MOVE!
    There's 2 OTHER Enemy Skills That You Can LEARN: L4 Suicide And Chocobuckle. L4 Suicide Is EASY To Learn(Learn It Off "Mu" Enemies) And You DON'T Have To Be A Level Multiple Of 4 Either. CHOCOBUCKLE, On The Other HAND, Is TRICKY To Learn:
    1. You MUST Have L4 Suicide. Buy 1 Mimmett Greens From Chocobo Billy, Move It To The VERY TOP Of Your ITEMS!
    2. Get A BATTLE With 1 Of 2 ENEMY GROUPS: 2 Levrikons Or 2 Elfadunks. THESE Are Level 16 Chocobos. The OTHER Enemy Groups Do NOT Have Level Chocobos Multiple Of 4.
    3. Have 1 Of Your OTHER 2 Characters(Not The One Your Trying To Learn Chocobuckle For) Feed The 1 Mimmett Greens To The Chocobo. IMMEDIATELY Have The One You Wanna Learn Chocobuckle For Use L4 Suicide After!
    Note: Chocobos ONLY COUNTER With Chocobuckle If They Are Hit By L4 Suicide And After They Have Been Fed 1 Mimmett Greens, AND They Will ONLY HIT Whoever Uses The L4 Suicide On Them! That's Where A LOT Of People Mess Up Learning Chocobuckle!

It Appears In The OUTER Area Of Corel Prison, Not Corel Prison Itself And It's Called "Cactuar". Some Say It's Not Very Reliable But Actually It Is. You Just Have To Work At It. I normally use Aeirth for this as sometimes Midgar Zolom can attack immediately after Beta. Using Healing Wind (as the Zolom uses Beta) will interrupt the second attack and obviously heal who ever is left. I use the Enemy Skill materia on Aerith and do it that way.

      On disc 1, it is just easier equip 2 on to the same character and learn Beta on all both of them. Technically you can get 3 enemy skills on disc 2, but back tracking to learn anything in the third one isn't really worth it. My go to stratagy until I'm ready to grind is to keep Aerith on the front Row with Cover and enemy skills with the Fury status. Matra Magic is more than enough to build up her limit breaks as you progress. She will also be constantly healing your party with Healing Wind, and later Pulse of Life.
      I then keep Cloud equipted with the long range materia, and Barrett in the back row with the Sadness status. I switch Barrett for Yuffie as soon as she is recruited. Their attacks from the back row are enough to weaken enemys for Aerith to finish them off with Matra Magic and learn her level 3 limit breaks.
      That's enough to get you to the buggy pretty easily. If you take the time to pick up 2 more restore materia, that helps too.
      Beta just cost to much MP to be that good early game in my opinion, when you can just hit enemy's with Matra Magic one or two times and do the same thing. 2 Matra Magics still cost less than Beta.
      If you rely on Beta you'll have to back track to an inn often, because Tents are expensive.
