Big thanks to everyone who has commented. I'll be announcing the giveaway winner this weekend in a TH-cam short, so keep your eyes peeled! If you haven't, comment and sub for a chance to win. Cheers 🍻
Not creative but wanted to say I think it is good how you keeping this not only a budget bike but a budget build! It costs so much now for everything especially owning and maintaining a Bike that buying the little extras can be out of reach! Having options like this helps close the void for many allowing them to have the extra goodies and bridging the gap between a cheaper bike and a more expensive bike. Keep it up keeping it real for most of us! :)
Great stuff as usual mate. Had a KLR when you started your KLR build but my mate 'Bill' forced me to sell her back in '22. Just got my CFMOTO 450 in December and now you're doing a build and thrash on the same bike. Awesome watching you take it places I'll never have the skill to go! Only mod I've done so far is peel off all the pink stickers & make the pink bits on the seat red. Love the blue n white colour scheme, pink notsomuch. An AOOCCI would be Gucci for her first upgrade 🤞😁
Nice. "Budget" is right up my alley and one of those would go well on my new 800DE here in Perth. Hopefully the cheap and cheerfull price doesn't mean a short lifespan. But as my wife says about our marriage, keep your expectations low to avoid disappointment.
@onthebackwheel hey Curtis, I was looking at the C6 specs and I note it does not support off-line maps. Have you, or will you be taking the C3 somewhere that doesn't have mobile reception? As bush bashers, that could be a bit of an issue if you're relying on Google Maps to direct you on several unnecessary loops and dead ends before eventually getting you to where you're going.
I just bought my first vehicle with Apple Play. I’m behind the curve on this tech. 😂 This got me thinking about how far bike’s electrical systems have come in the last 20 years. We used to worry about the electrical draw on the bikes and how many accessories we’d run on the bike. Heated gear, accessory lights, GPS, smart phones, and for content creators, cameras and drones. These days we just install a block to the battery and go for it. 😂
Perfect timing on the subject, I'm after a budget friendly device and it ticks all the boxes. I ride a crf rally and also don't see point of having a $1000 device attached to my budget bike. Thanks for sharing, ride safe brother 👍
Another informative video, thanks mate. I reckon the AOOCCI C3 would look more budgét on my Tundra Grey 450MT 😂 at least the little stickers might match 😉
Great review - having just come off my Ps I need a decent (budget) solution for navigation now I can use Gaia without stopping! Seriously considering the 450MT as a replacement for my KLR, so the build series is really helpful too.
Nice short & sweet review, and touching on the installation was good to see. I'm hoping you take the bike offroad as well for a decent test ride when the sun is shining, to see whether or not it's also going to hold up as is, and still be good off the beaten track. Any news on testing on a wet day as well - as that's certainly something to consider if you get caught out when the rain hits.
I went with the Johnny Appleseed Garmin ZUMO XT2 Bought a bracket off eBay for the CFMOTO 450 MT. Then bought a back plate to fit Garmin for that bracket. Using the two small bolts, which you used one for the foot mount. Plumbed the wiring to the accessory near the indicators under that panel. (A TH-cam clip will show you) Dropping the cord through the screen adjustment arm.. holes. Took it down a gravel road and shook the shit out of it. Still on after a 3000km trip over Christmas. F*** Christmas
I’ve had one of these on a previous bike. Synchronizing all the Bluetooth devices-phone, bike, AOOCCI, and helmet comms-was less of a hassle and more like assembling a high-stakes tech puzzle. A little patience, maybe a glass of wine for courage, and some help from a tech-savvy mate usually does the trick. If I win the giveaway, I promise to write the definitive guide: ‘Bluetooth Diplomacy: A Rider’s Guide to Peace and Connectivity'.
You don’t need a gps mate you never get lost because everyone tells you where to go! 😂 I’d love the unit mate, got a spot on my new himmy 450 waiting for it. 👍
Great review, mate! Really loved how clear and honest, it’s super helpful. Watching all the way from Tassie, and I reckon this content is top-notch. Keep up the awesome work; you’ve got a fan here in the Land Down Under! Cheers!
I have one, it works. The advantages: Inexpensive; better than putting my phone at risk from rain, rocks etc; I don't have to remove it every time I stop...if someone steals it, I'm not gonna cry as much. If you want a bigger, better screen...pay more for a different one.
Great install Curtis. Brisso viewer here. I've been thinking of pulling the trigger on one of these for my 2012 1200gs. Crossing my fingers that I don't have to now.😂
Mate, I'm from Australia, but I'm just not IN Australia at the minute..🙃...so I gotta miss out I spose...(btw, I'm still amazed at how much my Tuareg has been copied by the chinese)🤫🤫...anyhoo - good onya for the channel and the reviews!!...wish I was enjoying the QLD warmth right now too!
Nice review as always Curtis. You are doing a great service to owners downunder. Nice to see the Japanese riding boots in use, hopefully no AOOCCI's happened while riding in them 😂
That looks a great product. The metal ram style mount looks good too with the added bonus of giving the 450MT some more balls😅 Looking forward to your next vid
Good idea regarding the cheaper device for the cheaper bike. Chinese companies always come up with bizarre names for there products & yeah cheaper screens usually mean they are not bright enough, but look forward to your on-bike review. I personally just use my old phones for stuff like this, haven’t used CarPlay or Android auto, just give me an FM radio…then again I drive a 2011 Ford Territory & that’s all it’s got.
G'day from Tassie. I've been looking at the C6 and other units. After seeing your review, the C5 is more compact and fits nicely on the MT. Just clicked up100ks on my new 450. Keep up the great reviews👍🇦🇺🫡
Appreciate it Curtis, we all want something for free and competition is plenty. Funny how everyone comes out of the wood work. This would be a fun device to try especially because I have no sense of direction. I’m from the blue of NSW so I assume that takes me out of the running. Keep up the good work.
If I had a AOOCCI C3 I'd have to add a nice PO And then I'd have my own C3 PO I'd hop on my Strom 250 oh yo I'd point in the direction of you and would go Will I make it and will it all work Or will I get lost and feel like a jerk The C and the 3 And the P and the 0 I reckon it it would It looks really good A cross of the fingers A touch of the wood I like the review Like you knew That I should All the best From Kanmantoo South Australia Great channel
Been using a spare phone on the MT so far but I'd give this unit a go and c'mon we all know that down here in Tassie has the best motorcycle roads in OZ.
Budget bike.... Yours is a limo compared to my Vstrom 250.... I dropped hints to my wife before xmas that I kept getting lost and worried about my safety as my phone was overheating on the bars. She got me a stick on compass and a survival blanket... If I am lucky enough to win, could you stick a 7 over the 5" on the box in case the wife opens it....😊
There once was a TH-camr called Curtis, who never does anything to hurt us, he’s hard on the throttle, and never looses his bottle, and now he’s ready to dirt us.
This looks like an awesome little unit. I like the way you mounted it and I'm sure once you send me mine it will also look awesome on my 450MT. Keep up the great work

I have bought a unit from Volam. It is very similar, it has the same connectivity but it is the same size as on iPhone 13 so looks a little more like the original dash on the bike. It just looks a little neater. The Volam is also much cheaper than the Aoocci C3 at about £70, $85 USD or $137 AUD.
Love your channel mate watch them all glad you are doing the 450mt I have had my a few months now still love it will be Taking your advise on the build and going down the same path as your budget build but I will say I mounted my phone to the gps bar and it dose bounce around a lot at full hight on the rough tracks so you have to lower the screen so it more ridged
Hi Curtis Mark here I'm enjoying the content mate. I have a old fodsport gps that is getting a bit old and now a chance to win a new one is great thanks for giving everyone a opportunity to win a new gps 👍
Another great review, thank Curtis 👍 I agree re blowing tons of cash on the 450MT and its accessories....... stick to great value for money, just like bike. I'll add it to the list of stuff to save up for as I'm thinking a set of tyres will be next, to get through the fabulous Vicco winter.😅 Cheers 🍻
Thanks for the Discount Curtis, I'll try one out for my 800DE. I can 3d print a mount for the top bar. Should fit pretty well. I've been using my phone for a long while. It will be nice to have a unit permanently fixtured.
i still don't understand why the 12mm gps bar goes up and down with the windscreen. Wouldn't that mean that as soon as you lower the screen, any gps unit would then hit the dash? so weird.
Not from Oz but, I was just going to say for travelling around town listening to music and commuting I dont know how you could go wrong with something like this. For a 10 day adventure offroad and through the woods I would blow my brains out trying to read that screen lol.
Great review mate. If you can run Gaia while having Spotify playing music thru the intercom, I'm in! I'm on the goldy so if i win the free one I can come pick it up! 😂
Looks the goods, looking at fitting one on my FJR1300, not sure if I want camera and tpms also as yet. Also need to work out where to place one on fjr1300 as handlebars are different
Nice review Curtis👍 I have tried a cheap version of gps before and I had so much trouble plotting my route into it that I ended up just using google maps on my phone, which works fine until you have no service/signal. How does this perform? cheers 🍻 👌
but if you need gps off road with no mobile service, which is very common in australia---just buy a dedicated gps, ive been using a car gps in a bike cradle for over 10 years without issue
Not from Australia but came here as usual to say job well done on the review video. Also to ask a question regarding this unit, I’ve had a Carpuride W502 Pro on my Tuareg since October of last year and really enjoying. How would you say this unit compares to it?
Seems I've been pronouncing Chigee wrong, as in "Get Chigee with it" or "Hey mate got a spare Chigee?" so Chee-gee it is. Consider me educated, thanks mate! This Aoocci unit seems ideal for basic use, particularly on a budget. Been looking for something like this for a DR650 and don't want to spend too much. Thanks for another no BS review
I pick up my 450mt next Tuesday. Was looking at these being budget friendly over the chigee but would prefer the cross bar mount from chigee. Have you figured out a nicer solution to the mounting yet?
Crazy man Curtis! You're killing me! I used your promo code just after Christmas to get the Chigee & holy shit off a shovel it still worked! I doubt it will now, you trader! Loving your magic wand over the 450MT! Can't wait to see your review with better tyres on too!
You convinced me to buy a klr to get into adventure riding was pretty happy with that just didn’t like the bikes off road feel so I turned my 2019 wr250f into a lightweight adventure bike and love riding it through hard trails , Definatly want to get something like this to assist with navigation as I currently just use my phone in a tank bag …. Please pick me 😂
Will this fit my budget build '06 R1200GS without voiding the warranty? Will the R1200GS rear wheel speedo censor interfere with the bluetooth signal? Will it detect fallen trees? Can I un-intentionally modify the bikes ECU when I turn it off? Is there any adhesive hook n loop tape provided so I can cover the annoying speedo and tachometer with it? Last but not least, will it make my riding better?...I'm sick of blokes roosting me on their little toy enduro bikes when I ride with them on snotty single track enduro loops...
Big thanks to everyone who has commented. I'll be announcing the giveaway winner this weekend in a TH-cam short, so keep your eyes peeled! If you haven't, comment and sub for a chance to win. Cheers 🍻

Recently a 450mt buyer also due to the reason of being abit cheaper. Good to see you go through everything with the parts you have been fitting.

‘On The Back Wheel with AOOCCI.’
Great review. I have an Mt450 myself and currently using my phone, but will definitely look into this product. Thanks
It's a good option to ditch the phone 👊
The unit seems mad value for the price, actually surprised it seems close to as responsive as much more expensive units I've seen in TH-cam reviews
Perfect to run maps on. Excellent.
NIce work Curtis.
Good catch finding that mounting location - keeps the unit in the same spot while you adjust the screen. Clever.
Perfect timing on the subject, I'm after a budget friendly device and it ticks all the boxes. I ride a crf rally and also don't see point of having a $1000 device attached to my budget bike. Thanks for sharing, ride safe brother 👍

Love your work Curtis. Cheap doesnt always mean shit. Loving the CFMoto 450MT series. Looking at getting one myself
Looks great, but does the sun visor make a large enough shelf for a meat pie? 🥧😜

Keeping on point with the bike mate, Chinese safety boots 😂
Nice. I found your video very interesting. I’ll have to look into this product. I’m planning on getting a cfmoto 450 in a few months time. Cheers.
Nice mate, better order now with the wait time
Great review. My missus always said 5 inches is all you need ;) Pick up my 450MT Thursday, this would be nice to add haha

I am finding that too. Going to see how this goes off-road, if not might get the aftermarket GPS holder
Thanks mate never heard of this one looks interesting. Good review

Great vid Mate good little unit too curious to see how it handles the bush aye ride safe cobba cheers
Cheers mate. Seems reasonably sturdy, keen to see how she holds up
Wouldn’t mind trying this on my DR 650. It has a Safari tank and fairing. I’ll be interested to see how tough it is! Definitely suits my budget!
Hi Curtis Mark here I'm enjoying the content mate. I have a old fodsport gps that is getting a bit old and now a chance to win a new one is great thanks for giving everyone a opportunity to win a new gps 👍
I hear the fodsports is a good unit
Yes Curtis it has been a good gps but it is slow in operation so I use my because it's faster I use the fodsport just to see where I am
@ ah that sucks. Good to know
Looks like a great value product 👍
Another great review, thank Curtis 👍

Worth a shot, might be ok on my CB 500X
Thanks for the Discount Curtis, I'll try one out for my 800DE. I can 3d print a mount for the top bar. Should fit pretty well. I've been using my phone for a long while. It will be nice to have a unit permanently fixtured.
Good idea, must be handy having the 3d printer
i still don't understand why the 12mm gps bar goes up and down with the windscreen. Wouldn't that mean that as soon as you lower the screen, any gps unit would then hit the dash? so weird.
Potentially. I've had my phone up there and it doesn't hit the dash in the lowest setting
I would be interested in how it goes at night too. No good if it is too bright.
Aoocci…is their company theme song by the Ramones? A-o-let’s go, a-o-let’s go, a-o-occi! Looks good brother!
Btw…still have heaps of pallets at the Stadium if you’re still looking

It seems the right product for my 450 MT
👍😝🤪
Will be interesting to see how long it lasts, I had a similar product that died after about 500kms so back to the iPhone for me at the moment
That sucks. Will be annoyed if it only lasts that long
Subscriber, 450MT owner and tightarse. Would look great on my bike!
Great review mate. If you can run Gaia while having Spotify playing music thru the intercom, I'm in! I'm on the goldy so if i win the free one I can come pick it up! 😂
Legend! Yep, you can run both, man after my own heart
It does the job nice and cheap, wondering if you can order it with a car kit as well
I just had a look on their website and they have some car products. Lots of dash cams
Haha the flip flops. I hope you didn't take any jumps with those on 😂
Just a couple of tabletops
Looks great price very nice and seems to do its job like your bike great for the price.
Good vid, if the thing works then its good

Pretty sure you can still download google maps for offline use?
Great review Curtis, have you run waze on it yet ?
No I haven't, they have an app though from memory
but if you need gps off road with no mobile service, which is very common in australia---just buy a dedicated gps, ive been using a car gps in a bike cradle for over 10 years without issue
No tracking either...
Can't beat dedicated. Though Gaia works off GPS satellite and no reception
My bars are bare, slightly X Rated, very cool :)
Not from Australia but came here as usual to say job well done on the review video. Also to ask a question regarding this unit, I’ve had a Carpuride W502 Pro on my Tuareg since October of last year and really enjoying. How would you say this unit compares to it?
Thanks mate. The 502 looks like a higher quality unit, better resolution and the ability to have an SD card
This would be mint for my Tuareg 👌 I've ruined 1 phone already from my quadlock 😂
Nice bike, love the Tuareg
does it work without phone service?? as in does it sort of download a area local to it before you head out of service?>
No, it's just a phone replacement to prevent the phone camera from being damaged by engine vibration.
Correct, same as your phone. Gaia works offline just fine and you can download areas if you like too
love these products ... where do they get there names from 🤔
Haha very good question. They probably say the same about us!
I thought it was getting Chigee with it too, then heard some say Chee-gee and realized I'd been saying it wrong 😬😆
I pick up my 450mt next Tuesday. Was looking at these being budget friendly over the chigee but would prefer the cross bar mount from chigee. Have you figured out a nicer solution to the mounting yet?
Hi, not yet though I haven't had a chance either. The aftermarket GPS bar is the safest get and cheap
