Sometimes we procrastinate because we’re afraid of failing, don’t know how to start, or the task feels overwhelming. The best way to get past it is to break the work into smaller, easier steps, set simple goals, and just start with something small. Once you get going, it feels less stressful, and it’s easier to keep moving forward.
Flores, Althea P.

As a college student, I’ve realized that procrastination is when I delay tasks, even when I know it’ll lead me to stress. It comes from fear of failure, striving for perfection, feeling overwhelmed, poor time management, or just lacking the motivation to start. To overcome it, I should set clear, achievable goals and stick to a schedule. Prioritize tasks and minimize distractions, along with using techniques like time management. I should set achievable expectations and reward myself for progress because it can keeps me on track and motivated.

I procrastinate a lot as a college student, mostly because I feel overwhelmed by the workload or just don’t have the energy to start. Sometimes I’m scared I won’t do well, so I put things off to avoid that stress. Honestly, there are always a lot of distractions like friends, my phone or socmed. To get through it, I break assignments into smaller tasks, make a checklist of what to do, set mini deadlines, and force myself to study in a quiet spot away from distractions. It’s not perfect, but it helps me get things done and i felt good after i completed the task.

I often reward myself first before I do all the schoolworks (believing playing games is a reward, instead of calling it as a distraction), saying I deserve to be rewarded before completing the tasks; thus, it leads me to procrastination; finding it hard to overcome because I’m already used to it (my brain only functions when I procrastinate), and that is why this kind of mindset must be set aside in order to do the tasks before the deadline and by following the tips mentioned in the video lesson-setting clear goals, creating a schedule, prioritizing tasks, eliminating distractions, and so on; in which would clearly help us avoid procrastination.

According to the video, some reasons that people procrastinate are because of many reasons, one of these is the fear of failure, and people think they won't get it right. One of the tips is to make a schedule in which we divide our tasks and responsibilities within a day so that our day is organized, and those things we have committed to not being too important. Sometimes I feel like I lack motivation, as well as the fear of messing up and feeling overwhelmed, and poor time management really seems to interfere. But I intend to take up her recommendations about this. I will strive to avoid distracting things, be gentler with myself, and improve on time management.

Procrastination is a common problem for college students, often caused by factors like fear of failure, perfectionism, feeling overwhelmed, poor time management, and lack of motivation. These issues can make tasks seem difficult or unmanageable, leading to delays in completing work.
To overcome procrastination, one effective strategy is to set clear goals. Having specific, achievable goals helps break down large tasks into smaller, more manageable steps, reducing the feeling of being overwhelmed. Time management is also crucial, so creating a schedule or using a planner to prioritize tasks can keep students on track. Additionally, maintaining motivation by rewarding progress or connecting tasks to long-term goals can push students to take action and avoid putting things off.
By setting goals and developing better time management skills, students can overcome procrastination and improve their academic performance.

Procrastination refers to the act of delaying or putting off a task that needs to be done, which often results in negative consequences. This is a common struggle, particularly among us students. As for me, I procrastinate because I feel overwhelmed and lack the motivation to do or start certain tasks. Sometimes, encouragement is necessary to get me started to do a task. One of the reasons that I can relate myself on why students procrastinate is being overwhelmed by the task. Sometimes, we are bombarded with tasks to the point that-just by thinking of it takes away your energy. Seeing that we have a lot of pendings will make us feel drained, and for that reason, we tend to give ourselves rest (without actually starting the task, and starting to procrastinate).
With this scenario, prioritising tasks will do the trick. We need to identify what needs to be done first. And with that, we can do progress little-by-little, ending up finishing our tasks.

From the video, I can already see that poor time management is a big part of procrastination and I relate to that in a personal level, as well as fear of failure, because I not only procrastinate on assignments or school activities but also other work that needs to be done in my home or in my personal schedule because it's hard for me to be decisive and I dont want to fail something that is important. This puts heavy burden on me but I somehow always end up procrastinating. As a college student, I often procrastinate due to these reasons: tasks and activities pile up, and I feel like I'm not sure how to do them, so I end up doing them late. Feeling overwhelmed also makes me unproductive, and later, I become frustrated due to a lack of time. Some days are okay for me, and some days are not. But mostly, especially during exam weeks, I avoid things that distract me from doing school tasks and reviewing. I set up a 20/5-minute routine, meaning I do schoolwork for 20 minutes and rest my mind away from it for 5 minutes.

Procrastinating is a bad habit that most of students do but sometimes it's not simply because they're lazy or unmotivated but also because they have high expectations, many problems and such but it can also overcome if we set realistic expectations and manage our time properly.

Personally, the reason why I procrastinate is because of my poor time management and I get overwhelmed so fast. I'm currently struggling and it's causing me stress and mental health deterioration. The tips that you gave us in the video was very helpful for everyone. But in my own experience, the only way I do to avoid procrastinating is to clean the house. When I clean the house, I can think peacefully while doing housework, and it relieves the stress. I also like to do things when the house is clean, so I overcome my procrastination by just doing household chores.

Based on the video, the main reason that I procrastinate as a college student is the feeling of being overwhelmed with meeting deadlines for activities and reviewing for exams, quizzes, and recitation. However, I tend to overcome my procrastination through focusing on what I need to prioritize first and doing it one by one everyday.

In my opinion, a student procrastinates because of his poor time management. He thinks that the tasks with a long deadline can be done quickly. He neglects it and doesn't do it until he is pushed. Therefore, it is necessary that a student has knowledge in the use of time management techniques. In this way, he will not just be able to finish a task properly, but it will be easier.

After watching the video, there are many reasons why I procrastinate, and that is poor time management and also I easily get overwhelmed by the sheer number and pile of school activities. Sometimes I can't control my time because I get super distracted by various things, and there are times when I spend too much time on online platforms to the point that I can't finish the activities I need to complete on time. That's why sometimes I avoid such scenarios by setting clear goals and managing my time well , sometimes I set an alarm for the activities I need to do. And by doing this
I can do my school works properly and submit them on time.

Procrastination can be situational.
In my case, I do procrastinate sometimes because of the lack of motivation to do tasks. So, most of the time, I happen to start doing only when I feel like I really need to do so, which sometimes leads me to completely forget about the task. I was never an organized person, but I try to overcome it by listing all the tasks I need to do and the time I have to finish each task, so I can still be productive each day and finish those tasks one by one.
