Could of important notes, I did not include in the video, either that I just missed, or were slightly different in previous master rules, very important to know. 1. Pendululm/(XYZ,FUSION,SYNCHRO,) Monsters are first summoned by fusion summon, synchro summon, or xyz summon, and if they would be returned to the hand or deck will go back to the extra deck face down and then need to be fusion syncho or xyz summoned again, should the leave the field be being destroyed they'll go to the top of the extra deck face up, from where they can be pendulum summoned if you have the right scales except for... Pendulum XYZ must have an effect that says they can be pendulum summoned as they have ranks and not levels, but at the time of writing all pendulum XYZ say they can be pendulum summoned if you had the scales to summon monsters with the same level as their rank with the exception of two pendulum XYZ monsters. Pendulum/fusion synchro or XYZ can go to the GY by being destroyed while face up or down in the extra deck, or by being detached from and XYZ monster as XYZ material, or sent by a card effect from somewhere other than the field. 2. While I don't state it in this video, when pendulum monsters are played as pendulum spells into the spell and trap card zones, these zones are now treated as both spell trap zones, and pendulum zones, but are only treated as pendulum zones while filled appropriately by a pendulum monster, in another video I said they were no longer treated as a spell trap zone which was an error I made because in MR3 they were separate zones so they were never spell and trap card zones, and weren't affected by cards that destroyed all spell and trap card zones but this was added to the MR4 rule book on page 4 of the rule book but something I probably overlooked since I was familiar with the MR3 ruling on d/d/d Beowulf Except from page 4 "Pendulum Monster Cards can be activated in the leftmost and rightmost zones as Spells. Is just like it was way back when xyz monsters just came out with syncros, specially with the six samurai deck. But back then the way to special summon was faster than now. Syncros and xyz are tide up to where a link monster points to in order to xyz or syncro summon more than 1 monsters. If there is no link monster they go to the extra monster zone. I remember doing otks back then before link monsters appear.
@@Heemiez you can only activate one pendulum monster in your pendulum zone and if your opponent somehow destroys it you cant make that massive pendulum summon so you have to make sure your pendulum monsters in those zones survive.
1:23~1:35 Ranks are not used to Pendulum Summon, only Levels are. @@LegacyCrusaders You said that you Pendulum Summon monsters whose Levels or Ranks are between the Scales. Just edited my original comment to add the time range I initially forgot to include.
@BurstFlare thanks, i didn't realize i made that error then, whoopsie fortunately most xyz pend people would likely try to pend summon mostly say the can be pend summoned cause they have that text.
@@LegacyCrusaders True, I just took a quick look, and from what I can see, there's really only two Xyz Monsters that can't be Pendulum Summoned, and both are D/D/D monsters. Super Doom King Dark Armageddon, for some reason, explicitly states it can't be Pendulum Summoned in its text, so there's no confusion there. Deviser King Deus Machinex, however, doesn't have that text, and even though it's only one card, that's still one card that people might mistakenly think can be Pendulum Summoned, especially since there are other people making Pendulum Summon guides that also state that Ranks are used for Pendulum Summoning.
You miss one, if the pendulum scale is 4 and 5, there is also nothing in between so you can't pendulum summoned also. You can used card that reduce the level of a monster in your hand so it can fit the scale for example if you have a scale of 1 to 8 and you have a lv8 monster in your hand, you can't pendulum summoned it the way it is from your hand, so you can activated star blast pay 500 life points to make the lv8 monsterr in your hand a lv7, then you can pendulum summoned it with the scale of 1 to 8, or if your scale is 1 to 4 so you have to pay 2,500 life point to make lv8 a lv3 to pendulum summoned it with the spell card star blast.
3:15 If the Pendulum summon is negated by Solemn Strike, you said all the monsters are destroyed. Does this include the two Pendulum monsters? If so, can you explain the logic behind that?
If the summon of a monster is negated they were never on the field, so they will go to the graveyard by default as they must go somewhere, solemn strike specifies they will also be considered destroyed. The pendulum scales were not monsters attempted to be summoned in the pendulum summon so they will not be destroyed.
Im trying to understand how extra deck pendulums work and are summoned / for example ive seen a fusion monster that had pendulum scales and even an xyz with pendulum scales, i dont know how to even attempt to conprehend how that works 😅
You xyz fusion or synchro summon them like any other fusion xyz or synchro to any monster zone then if they leave the field they go face up on the extra deck, from there you can pendulum summon them with proper scales to the emz or mmz a link monster points to, xyz don't have levels so they usually have effect text that says you can pendulum summon them when you can pendulum summon monsters of the same level as it's rank. To pend summon them, they must have been properly summoned the other way first. They usually have an effect that tells you how they end up in the Pendulum scale, usually it's when they're destroyed.

@@LegacyCrusaders : Explain: I use level 4 D/D Savant Copernicus and level 4 D/D Griffin ( both pendulum monsters ) to forge link 2 Abyss King Gilgamesh. My point is there are many many things that could be involved that i cannot predict without your input, only you can read all the cards on your board, none of the things i suggested are obvious but are all possibilities.
I'm curious What about if you just send it to the graveyard on the field. Like send one monster they control to the graveyard with magnarokket dragon. Or send to grave as a spell with autorokket dragon?
Hey, I have three questions: 1: If I fusion summon using pendulum cards (one from the field and one from the hand) the one from the field would be sent to the Extra Deck and the one from the hand to the GY? 2: If an effect sends my Synchro (for example) monster from the field back to the hand it goes back to the extra deck face up? If yes can I pendulum summon it the next turn? If yes this would work with Fusion also but not with XYS bc they have ranks? 3: Can I summon a pendulum monster, go through the battle fase, it gets destroyed, then on Main Phase 2 I decide to Pendulum Summon I can special summon this same monster that was just destroyed right?
1 yes 2 i assume you mean pend fusion, pend xyz, pend fusion. Im pretty sure they'd go to the extra face down. So you couldn't pend them anyways. 3. Yes assuming you didn't pend already that turn.
Idk what other cards are in play to comment, I assume you're on master duel, and you're either doing it from the ex deck meaning you must do it to the emz or a zone a link points to, or a cards in play restricting you.
So if I have a link 10 and a link 1, I can place them in my Pendulum Zones (at no cost) and boom, I can Special Summon pretty much any Monster (between 2 and 9) from my hand? Am I missing something or is that over powered as hell? Is this limited or can you just do it every turn?
It's not that overpowered because if your deck doesn't consist of lots of pendulum monsters they wont go into the extra deck to be summoned again next turn and the turn after and the turn after. In a deck that plays few pendulum scales, you almost never have the cards to make a scale so on the occasion you do it it might be strong but still probably not that strong. Most pendulum monsters dont really work with non pendulum decks so while being able to special summon any monster between two scales might sound good, you lose 2 cards in hand to be scales just to have the ability to do it and the decks have no synergy.,
