- The Greatest Forgotten Play(s) in NFL History! We all remember the Titans Kevin Dyson getting tackled by Rams linebacker Mike Jones just shy of the goal line in the Super Bowl. But do you remeber the crazy Steve McNair play before that? #nfl #titans #steelers #rams #cardinals #patriots #seahawks #superbowl #NFLNews #thatsgoodsports #brandonperna #49ers #bengals
Steve McNair, Larry Fitzgerald, Jermaine Kearse, Bernie Kosar all part of amazing plays we have forgotten.

This is the typa video that will remind you of how crazy football is and just how different history could’ve been based off a few inches
Tell me about it. A few inches changes a lot of lives.
I'm always short a few inches
That's what she said
There's maybe one other content creator in his tier, but Perna seems to have The Best Ideas for off-season NFL material.
@@CyraXFactor can create a lot of lives too
I think the Larry Fitzgerald touchdown is remembered well bc it’s the most iconic play of Larry’s hall of fame career and the greatest moment in Cardinals franchise history
I feel so bad that Fitz didn't get a ring. Of all players that didn't win a ring, Fitzgerald definitely deserved it. He was (and still is) a humble and overall great man.
I'm not a Cardinals fan, but I did root for them despite being a 49ers fan in that super bowl. I don't remember that catch, but then again I also didn't remember the John Taylor catch or the John Candy sighting. Guess that's a side effect of getting old. I probably shouldn't run for president.
@@SteefPipyou'd still be able to run, Biden doesn't remember what year it is and he's president...
Fitz is arguably the most underrated wide receiver in history. At least the most underrated HOF'er.
"Arizona has the lead!" Will never leave my memory. Up to this point, that's the closest we've gotten to the peak of the mountain. We'll get there one day. Hopefully soon-ish
I'll never forget the Julio Jones catch in the 4th quarter when the Falcons lead 28-20 against Patriots in 2017...
Literally, I was waiting for that catch.
The falcons won that game, so it isn't a forgotten play.
@blacker5826 Um... Buffalo fan here... Take your medicine... You haven't even earned the right to be that delusional.. 4-0 Over here okay??
I came down here just to mention that play.
Same with Jermaine kearse in the 4th quarter of SB49
That Titans-Rams Super Bowl was so significant, they referenced it in the movie “Cast Away”.
“One Lousy Yard…” 😅😢
Too bad he didnt reference how they got to the SB...."one lousy illegal forward lateral"
@@axe2grind244boohoo you guys had 4 straight Super Bowl appearances and lost every single one Tennessee was just the more deserving team
@@Oregonman2011 A more “deserving team” doesn’t need a miracle to beat Trent Edwards at home lol. I’m glad they lost by that slim margin because they shouldn’t have been there to begin with so I hope it still stings.
@@axe2grind244i can smell the butthurt from here.
It sure looked like the ball crossed the plane to me.....
That kearse catch was the first thing that came to my mind, glad you mentioned it.
Same here!
Easily one of the greatest catches in Super Bowl history
Which one? He had two amazing catches versus the Patriots in the Super Bowl on two different teams.
And it was wiped away by that heartbreaking losss
As a Seahawks fan who was lucky enough to go to all 4 playoff games between on the back to back super bowl runs and witnessed both The Tip fro Richard Sherman and the most insane comeback in NFC championship history if not playoff history when we somehow beat the Packers after losing terribly 3½ quarters of that game to where 33 thousand people left the stadium early before the onside recovery, the 2 point conversion, beast modes game leading run and the walk off TD (which I went from top of the top nose bleeds to having 50 yard line 2nd deck seats for the entire overtime period and was able to get to the end zone Kearse caught the walk off TD in right before it! And it was hilarious seeing 33 thousand people standing outside the stadium not allowed back in once they left having to share phones and screens rather than getting to be apart of the legendary comeback lmao after all that money they paid 😂).
When Jermain Kearse made that absolutely insane catch setting us up with only enough time on the clock for us to be back to back super bowl Champs my heart went haywire I couldn't believe it. It was the same feeling I got a year prior when we out of nowhere DEMOLISHED the greatest offense ever almost shutting them out in a 43-8 win for the Lombardi. I remember telling my cousin "bro 4 run plays with the greatest RB to ever run through entire defenses at once were about the win the fucking super bowl again and beat Tom Brady after beating Peyton Manning last year! They won't stop dude 4 times" and then in the blink of a eye my whole world crashed around me...
It was literally the most insane Rollercoaster of emotions from Kearses catch to throwing the INt.... the highest of highs followed by the most immediate downward spiral to the lowest of lows... That shit still hurts to this day. And there's no escaping that play. Its hands down the worst play call in all of NFL history and will be one of the most iconic moments the NFL will showcase so its in every commercial. Mentioned In Every playoff game. Even shows. I was watching a show one day and the guy in the show which the show isn't about football or anything goes "You know what I cant stop thinking about" to the chick he's with. And she asks what?... he goes "WHY THE FUCK didn't th3 Seahawks hand the ball to Marshawn Lynch" and I was so pissed 😂😂😂. I turned the show off and walked away lmao. Like there's no escape. Not to mention that super bowl was easily in the top 5 greatest games of all time 🤷. The match up of the GOAT Vs Legion Of Boom was worthy of all the headlines and hype. That game was back and forth echanging lead after lead...
And I'm definitely a hardore Seahawks fan and have been since I was 7 which was 2003. I got the Hawks logo tatted on my arm after out 2013 win. But I also remember our first super bowl which was the most controversial of all time cause it was obvious the refs were throwing flags for phantom calls and giving Big Ben the TD when he dove for the goaline and was clearly short only moving the ball past it after his elbows had hit which they could see in replay without a doubt. But one was from Detroit and the other from Pittsburgh and the game was played in Detroit agaisnt the Pittsburgh Steelers 🤦
Even John Madden during the broadcast was getting frustrated with the nonsensical flags for penalties he said were like "phantom calls" whenever the hawks would move the ball downfield they would make one and Stall our offense. They also took away Darrell Jackson's TD for the most minor of contact with the CB claiming it was a pushoff but it was both players hand fighting as they always do and that gets more leniency in playoffs and especially super bowl... 😒
And just to add onto it. John Levey the main ref in that game 7 years later right after he retired came out and said he knew he made some blown calls in the 2005 super bowl ☠️☠️☠️. And it was just so obvious back then the Seahawks were this barley cared about team tucked away in the top of the Paciifc Northwest playing a legendary Steelers franchise 6 hours from Pittsburgh with both refs being childhood fans of the team that they wanted them to win. I was so mad about that game. That was Shaun Alexander's MVP season and we had a insane year and deserved a real fair chance at winning it all smfh.
That playoff run by Larry Fitzgerald was one of the greatest feats in football ever, and that Super Bowl is the one I love to hate the most.
As a Seahawks fan, I always will remember the amazing catch that Jermaine Kearse had. It bobbled while both him and the defender are on the turf and yet it never hit the ground and he caught it. Buuuut it will always be forgotten because of the infamous interception.
McNair really put the Titans on his back in that final drive. 🙏 Air McNair
Honestly so unfortunate they lost. Definition of losing with dignity
People forget that Steve McNair was an absolute BEAST at Quarterback he look like a linebacker at the QB position but he was so amazing to watch without question 1st Round 3rd pick Alcorn State University in Mississippi but think about it without the Mike Jones tackle the game could've went to overtime and if that's the case Tennessee Titans would've won it's 1st Championship and McNair and coach Jeff Fisher both would be Hall Of Famers
@@ryaneugenelawrencewalls1987 McNair was a true Franchise QB should be. He was on the injured list every week but he was always ready for GameDay. You knew as a fan of the Titans or one of the opponents he was going to bring it every game.
@@Deathstroke4200 No doubt about it
I always wonder how many ribs McNair broke in his career. He was one of the first that I noticed wore a rib protector all the time instead of just for specific injuries. A shame he’s no longer with us.
Thank you Perna! That McNair play, to hear from the Rams players that had him in their grasp, brings tears to my eyes knowing just how special and mythical he was.
@ThatsGoodSports you should have the "Greater than Tom Brady's Roast" blend of Benchwarmer Brew
Absolutely a banger of a idea suggestion that Perna is never gonna see and it's a damn shame. Because he could definitely capatlise off the hype and popularity of that Roast and easily sell a couple hundred if not thousands of dollars off this 😂😂
Store this away in the "missed opportunities" folder with the rest lol
@@chaoticchaos894 He saw it and liked it. I appreciate you though
6:29 I always forget the 2 point conversion wasn’t invented until 1994
Don't worry, there will be a time when the Chiefs lose by 3 and Mahomes will demand a 3 point conversion. The NFL will bow to it and change the rules again
R.I.P to Frank Wycheck for the Tennessee Titans #89 8:00
God is a Bills fan so hopefully Frank had a damn good explanation...
So glad you talked about those plays.I keep telling my friends that those plays are just as incredible as the ones after
Despite how much it (still) hurts, I'm glad you covered that play before "The Interception". If that pass isn't intercepted Jermaine Kearse is a Super Bowl legend. He'd already had a legendary role in the come from behind NFC Championship game (to redeem his legendarily TERRIBLE first half of that game). If the Seahawks score and win there, Kearse is lauded as one of the most clutch receivers in history.
I always remind my cousins about the fact that Jermaine Kearse has probably one of the top 3 best catches in super bowl history and NOBODY remembers it 😭
Not only is the catch itself insane with the luck and concentration that went into it to bobble it while falling and spinning his body. But the clutchness of the moment being its the super bowl against Tom Brady and were on a game winning drive late in the 4th and he got us so close to paydirt we could nearly taste the second Lombardi...
If we had won that game. That catch would be played along with Julian Eidlemen's against Atlanta, And David Tyree's Helmet Catch For NY to beat New England.
I was also at the NFC championship game that we pulled off the insane comeback leading us to being in that super bowl and watched for 3½ quarters as Russ forced it into Kearse and was intercepted 5 times I believe. 33 thousand fans left the stadium before the comeback started and I was almost one of them I had to go all the way across the stadium to get my cousin who came with me and my aunt so we could get ready to leave and on my walk from my spot to his I watched on the food vender tvs as we started to make the comeback and by the time I reached my cousin we had just recovered the onside kick to set us up for the win and I was so blindsided but happy 😂😂😂. 33 thousand people were so mad they left cause you can't reenter the gates once you leave so they all had to stand outside the stadium listening to history being made lmao imagine paying 1,000$ for a Championship game ticket only to leave thinking we got our ass whooped but a insane comeback happens only for you to now miss it all and the over time period... Oof.
But because of it all I went from nose bleed seats to first row 2nd deck endzone seating for the entire OT period and it happned to be the one that Kearse caught the walk off game winning TD into punching our ticket to a second straight super bowl !
I was also at the 2013 NFC championship game where Richard Sherman Made The Tip play to send us to meet the Broncos in NY and both years I was at the prior playoff games before the Championship ones. I was extremely lucky and had a aunt who was a long time season ticket holder and she knew I was a massive super fan of football and the Seahawks so she gave me first chance to go to all 4 games because before it all I had a insane lucky streak of going to 24 Seahawks games from 2005- 2013 where I never went to one where we lost 😅. Even during years we were like 4-11 I went to the game were Josh Wilson took a pick 6 to the house to get a walk off win. I was also at the one where Kam Chancellor punched the ball out of Megatron (Calvin Johnson's) hand inches before it crossed the goaline giving us a walk off TD instead of them lol... and I thought FOR sure when Megatron caught it and ran to the end zone my lucky streak was over. But somehow Kam was super man.
Besides that I also had the pleasure of going to the Monday Night Football game against the Saints where Guinness Book Of World Records was there measuring our crowd noise to see if it was officially the world record for loudest sports crowd ever. And we ended up shattering the record that night during the game at 136.7 decibels and technically that made me a world record holder with 70 thousand other people lmao. I scream til my voice goes out when I'm at a hawks game. It's a must 🤷. We are the 12th man lol.
But yeah I've been too 31 total games in my life. Never been to one where we've lost which is a insane thing to think about. I thought that NFC championship game against Green Bay was for sure the one were we lose finally with me in attendance and yet. Somehow the most insane comeback gets pulled out our ass 😂. I haven't been to a game in 7 years sadly. But sometimes I wish I could bring up this to the front office and see about getting some season tickets so I can be a good luck win charm or some shit hahaha 😂😂😂
I have 25 of the 31 tickets saved still just to prove to people who don't fully believe me. Because they can look at each ticket and goodgle each game to see the score 🤷.
that titans loss killed me as a 14 year old. i'm a bengals fan, but above EVERYTHING ELSE IN LIFE i'm a buckeye (to the point i popped when santonio holmes SINGLE HANDEDLY took the steelers down the field and won the super bowl for them). i so badly wanted eddie george to get a championship.
I'd just started paying attention to the NFL without my parents' influence (ugh, Cowboys). With family in St Louis & refusing to be a fan of the more local ATL Falcons, the Rams was my team...until I discovered the Seahawks, lol. This was the last & most exciting SB I'd watched as a teenager.
I never realized until seeing this clip, but Santonio Holmes never had his right foot down.
Yeah, he did. That play was reviewed over and over from every available angle, and there were many. It is clearer in the other angles. Somehow, both toes got down. Incredible play.
Nah he didn't.
He did. I thought the same thing when it happned but there's a clear angle of him getting both down and I was pissed cause as a hawks fan who felt cheated after the controversial 2005 super bowl with the blown calls and phantom flags that were made agaisnt the hawks and heavily benefited the Steelers. I hated the Steelers from that moment and was hardcore pulling for the Cardinals and Larry to win it all. So trust I'd be in agreement if he truly didn't get both in. But he did. It wasn't by much it truly was a toe tapper. But all he had to do was touch one blade of grass with both feet and it's a clean catch smh
Man that was such a good SB. Not high scoring like some, but those handful of crazy plays made it a good show.
I was conflicted living in Houston and being an Oiler fan. I still rooted for the Tennese Oilers, but then the name changed and a piece of me sorta left at that moment. How fitting that a team that was still fresh from leaving Houston whose football past was littered with heartbreak would lose the SB in a crazy fashion like that after making a great comeback.
I honestly thought when McNair made that eacape that the Titans surely would tie it and go on to win it.
Rip Steve. You were fun to watch and will always be a HOFer to me
I’m a Bears fan but I always liked that Titans team. I liked McNair and George.
Irrelevant side note: first day at my new high school and the history teacher was asking me “get to know you” questions. I told him Eddie George was my favorite NFL player. For some reason he started calling me Eddie George. Then he started calling me George. For the next four years a bunch of kids that were in that class thought my name was George. I never corrected any of them.
R.I.P to Steve McNair QB Tennessee Titans #9🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 8:28
Oh man, I’d forgotten about that team with Steve McNair, Kevin Dyson, and Eddie George, and Frank Wycheck! They were something.
Denver’s relevance is also up there with things forgotten.
That super bowl 43 changed my life. It made my twin brother and I obsessed with football. He even has been a die hard Steelers fan to this day. Unforgettable game. That Larry okay is hard to forget my, I mean you have to tell it to build up to how even more dramatic the santonio homes toe tapper really was. IDK maybe that's just me
Still one of my favorite Super Bowls. Air McNair's unreal escape isn't forgotten between my ears
Same. But then quickly i flash to Dyson coming up short. 😮
That Seahawks catch lost to history is the most second worst thing about that game. What a catch
Thanks for the trigger warning.
I still remember watching it live. As a Brady fan, I was rooting for the Pats and when the catch happened, I thought "Again? They're gonna lose because of an unlikely catch?"
Then, two plays later, Butler intercepted the ball and because I couldn't shout like a crazy man (4am, neighbors sleep), I ended shedding a few tears of joy.
That Kearse catch would probably be remembered on the same level as the Helmet catch if Seattle won that game.
@WackyJack322 No way, The helmet catch was like.. will power Over talent... The curse catch was like fluke/miracle... No one ever calls the helmet catch a miracle... You know what I mean? It was definitely con centration and Determination, But you Really just can't compare the two except as an Unlikely defeat of Brady... Best you could do is philly special... And that's not exactly the same , but dude... Helmet catch it's just... It's something else...
As someone who was 19 during the Greatest Show on Turf and lived in south central Illinois I can tell you that the Rams were as loved by the fans as much as the St Louis Cardinals. When the Rams betrayed St Louis it ended my interest in football and I doubt I am the only one.
Had the Rams stayed they would still be a beloved franchise to dedicated fans.
Lets see how they fare in fickle LA...
Facts, I'm from STL and I miss them so much, I even have a Rams SB 34 champions license plate frame on my car
Well winning a superbowl already is a good start. You know they were originally in LA right?
@@aarondonald1611 and they were in Cleveland before that..look LA doesn't deserve 2 teams. If stl can't have the rams they should give us the chargers as compensation 😂😂😂 and yes ik about the NFL lawsuit and stl getting money from them but trust me stl hasn't seen any of that money!! It's like that money never existed! No one knows where that money went
Thanks for this. I remember the Titans being 1-yard short (incredible play, to me at least), but damned if I remember the play before it.
I was not and am not a Titans fan, but Steve McNair will always be one of my all time favorite quarterbacks.
Man! The PITvsARI SB was so crazy! What a wild game with so many big plays! Harrisson defensive TD just before halftime…!!
Bruce Springsteen slamming his nuts into the camera during halftime 😂
Welcome to That's Good Vacation. Thanks Johnny.
As someone who has grew up in Tennessee that play is never forgotten here.
Great video need more like this for the off Season
That final drive for McNair was insane to watch in real time. One of the greatest finales to a game, though I do think that it is too bad that game didn't go to overtime. Still, one of the truly great superbowls.
And as for Jermaine Kearse, had he been able to get up and run that ball in....sigh.
Personally I consider Super Bowl 34 to be the greatest Super Bowl of all time.
Berna
I remember watching that Kearse catch in my room and the walking downstairs to the big tv like “I can’t believe their gonna pull it off” oh how naive I was
Yancy Tigpen Injury in the AFC championship game really hurt the Titans for that Super Bowl. He was their number one receiver
Great video dude!!! We need a part 2,3,4,5
Love all your stuff Perna! Love that you mentioned Pats vs Seahawks and the catch. But what NO ONE talks about from that Super Bowl is the GREAT tackle on Lynch at the 1 yard line to stop a sure TD when he looked wide open to score, setting up the Malcom Butler pic. Can’t wait for your next video! We love ya!
Julio jones' catch in the Superbowl against the patriots was probably one of the greatest catches ive ever seen. To bad that one was forgotten.
Fun fact, the Comcast viewers in Tucson who were watching the Cards vs Steelers Super Bowl while Fitzgerald ran for that touchdown had their signal hacked and was replaced with porn for a while until Comcast took control again.
Keep it up, dude! Your videos are always the best!
Thank you Perna. Two of my favorite QB’s in the big game. 9 couldn’t get it done unfortunately, he’s still one of my hero’s.

❤❤❤ excellent video Brandude, really enjoyed waking up 2 this 1
I have a suggestion for a season recap: 2019. Star-studded draft class with several different stories, it being the 100th season of the NFL, the Antonio Brown debacle, the return of Green Bay and San Francisco, the all-time team, Brady's final season in New England, KC winning their first Super Bowl in 50 years, Lamar Jackson's insane MVP season, heck even the Titans were a fun team to watch, and also the Texans happened. Just a thought.
I remember watching Fitzgerald catch that TD and thinking... you left too much time on the clock for the Steelers. Even though I'm a Steelers fan, I felt bad for Larry Fitzgerald.
Keep making amazing videos
How about a quick history of how the offense has changed since the beginning of the Super Bowl era?
That Kearse catch made me throw my phone and break it when I saw it. I thought I was gonna watch the Pats lose to ANOTHER miracle catch at a clutch moment. Minutes later my house was so loud you could hear it from down the street 😂
That Santonio Holmes catch is still one of my favorite childhood memories.
DON'T SCREW GIRLS IN THE PUBLIC BATHROOMS
Aye man.. I just want you to know as a die hard football/sports fanatic..I appreciate your work. And that’s coming from a ⚡️fan lol
Great vid! I'm a big fan of the Julio Jones circus catch in the 28-3 game, that was then almost immediately overshadowed by Edelman's own circus catch like a drive later.
There are several plays that come to mind for me as forgotten plays but yet vital for a team’s success. Whether a team got into the playoffs or advanced. Some of those that come to mind include: with the Niners up by 1 in the 1990 NFC Championship, Erik Howard tackled Roger Craig and forced him to fumble with under 2 minutes to play. LT recovered the ball and the Giants kicked the GW FG with 4 ticks left. Or Eric Wright making a gave saving tackle in the 1981 NFC Championship on Drew Pearson. Everyone remembers or knows of “The Catch”, but what happened afterwards was even more critical. Eric Wright halted Pearson on a long pass which kept them out of FG range, because the very next play, Danny White was sacked and fumbled. The Niners recovered and went onto SB16. Or KC was facing a 3rd and 14 from their own 2 yard line in the 1969 AFL Championship. Len Dawson dropped a fade to Otis Taylor which kept the drive alive in order to win and go onto SB4. Phil Villapiano forcing Bret McClanahan to fumble in SB 11, to where the Raiders would recover and take the ball 98 yards for the touchdown, which literally set the tone of the game as they crushed Minnesota. George Martin literally shifting the momentum of a game when he sacked Elway (sorry Perna) in SB21 for a safety. Before that, the Giants were down 10-7, after the safety, the Giants scored 26 unanswered. Lots of plays that people forget about but without them, history would have been different.
That tackle by the Rams to stop him was great. When he first caught that pass I thought it was a TD but a perfect tackle
Happy 600k! Been watching since 50k, around 6-7 years
Thank you for answering the questions I never asked but now wish I did
That kearse catch is something I will always remember
Don't forget that Tory Holt was part of the Rams team as a Rookie 1st Round 6th overall pick North Carolina State University in the 1999 NFL Draft 12:28
Yes, the most underrated WR of all time..should've been in the HOF years ago..oh and he only set the record for most yards in a SB for a rookie!!!

@@ryaneugenelawrencewalls1987 yea it's completely absurd he's not in yet..he should've went in the same year as Isaac Bruce. They were truly equals imo..top 10 wr of all time..shit I'd take Torry Holt in his prime over just about anyone. He really was that good
Great vid Perna, must’ve took you a lot of time.
7:00 - this was really great comedic delivery lol
As a titans fan, this play breaks my little sports heart. As a football fan. I love Kurt Warner.
We talk about Air McNair like Pat Mahomes in Mississippi. That play, that drive was not a surprise to us. We’d seen many times while he was at Alcorn(pronounced All-Corn).
The Seahawks play is what made the pick extra hurtful. That amazing catch felt like fate, miracle comeback status, there's no way we could lose, so much time left.... And then.......
Nice list. I was hoping that Seahawks play would make the list. The Fitzgerald td was unforgettable
Thanks for recognizing the existence of the Tennessee Titans.
That makes me cry. 1 yard short. Titan up
Good video
I actually remember all of these moments save for the Fitz catch cause I had to work that day. Thankfully there have been a lot of close SBs since the new millennium & it makes for more memorable games.
Rams fan here that McNair play had my 12 year old ass stressed; our d line was gassed, and tackling him was so tough on that final drive.
Fantastic video! Hoping for a balls deep vid soon
You could also throw in Ricky Prohel's game tying TD in SB 36..tied the game with 1:30 left..after being down 14 the whole game..That loss still haunts me
What's even more impressive about the McNair play was that was back when defenders were allowed to hit QBs, so he was one the receiving end of 100% effort by the defense.
As a ST. LOUIS fan, i never forgot, pure greatness
"It's hard to understate how huge and unexpected that play was" doesn't really make much sense. It's easy to understate amazing things. We often do, and that's why they are often forgotten. I think Brad means "overstate". Even so, great video!
I feel so bad for Jermain Kearse, too . The guy is a hometown man who grew up near the seahawks practice facility. Seattle would have immortalized him.
My submission for one of the best forgotten plays is the Mariota self pass touchdown… in fact that’s one of the best playoff games ever imo. Now I gotta watch the highlights
John Elways touchdown pass to Vance Johnson late in the fourth quarter in Super Bowl XXI. It was in a losing effort, but it was just such spectacular play. Another losing effort play that deserves mention is Brett Favre's touchdown pass to Antonio Freeman in Super Bowl XXII. A deep pass, perfectly placed, clutch.
To me the Titians-Rams was one of the best SB I’ve ever seen. Down to the wire. I was glad I wasn’t a Rams or Titian fan. My heart wouldn’t haven taken it!
Great video. But been missing the XFL videos?!?
The Kearse catch was NEXT LEVEL
That "backwards" lateral in the Music City Miracle; we need to at least appreciate the perfect tight spiral Frank Wycheck threw to Dyson.
The Titans SB really was a good game... One of the best SB's ever...
Another good forgotten play would be Ken Stabler's 30 yard TD run in the 1972 playoffs. With 1:17 left in a 6-0 game Stabler ran for a 30 yard TD to give Oakland a 7-6 lead over Pittsburgh. Franco Harris would catch the Immaculate Reception about a minute later.
Good offseason video idea Brandon
I remember Kearse's insane catch, because that was the moment I was certain the Pats were going to lose. That catch deflated every New Englander watching that game because it was so fucking absurd.
And then Malcolm Butler became a legend just moments later.
The Colts 4th quarter comeback against the Buccs in 03' was magical
Thurman Thomas also committed a penalty just before Norwood’s kick. He might have made a 42-yarder.
This fills the gigantic football sized hole in my heart.
"The play before that play" I've wanted to see this vid for years.
So happy Perna is back
Mike Jones LB for the Rams in 1999 in Super Bowl vs Titans just made one of the best if not the greatest tackle of all time period 0:22
Makes it even better knowing he's from missouri
@@emoo.182 Also how bad the Mizzou football program was in the early 90's, he was a timeshare RB on a bad college team before becoming a super bowl champion that made one of the most iconic defensive plays in Super Bowl history.
@@uG0TRobbed damn I knew he played for Mizzou but I didn't know he was a RB!! Makes it even better!! If I could show pictures on youtube id show you my autograph Mike Jones picture of "the tackle" my grandpa gave me. Being from St Louis I'm happy we'll always have that one Superbowl
That new transition 👌👌
The Music City Miracle was the football universe's revenge on the Bills for the Comeback like 5 years before lol
As a 40+ year Patriots fan, I thought the game was over when Kearse caught that. It gave me Giants flashbacks.
I was a little too young to remember them getting humiliated by the Bears, so Desmon Howard is the name permanently etched in my brain.
SB XXX Pittsburgh scored to close the gap to 20 - 10 in the fourth, and decided on a risky onside kick. The Steelers got the ball and all of the momentum, scoring 7 more and closing within a fg to tie. If ODonnell didn't have the worst game of his life, that onside kick would have gone down in NFL history.
