I honestly believe the falcons actually made a smart move, they are following the Green Bay\Kansas City Chiefs and drafting a rookie in making him sit behind a vet for a year or two to gain some experience. Workout for Green Bay three times now!

Having Ballard as my teams GM is fantastic, he does little rants in support of his guys all the time, he had a big one like this last year too. Seeing my GM so confident in our team is very reassuring.
I feel the Steelers belong on this list as top tier. They nailed their first 4 picks with Fantanu, Frazier, Wilson, and Wilson. All 4 players should make an immediate impact. Their late rounders are solid, and the UFA's have some serious talent, esp with Beanie Bishop out of WVU who could be low key a real steal as a UFA. Omar Khan has bad two back to back great drafts.
Because we now have Russell Wilson I'm pretty sure we were omitted from this although I agree we absolutely killed the draft can't wait for the season to begin
No mention of the commanders as one of the winners this draft is lowkey crazy. Besides JD5 they drafted Mike Sainristil, who Nick Saban said is the pound for pound best football player in the draft. Drafted Ben Sinnott as well as Luke McCaffery, brother of Christian McCaffery. Also drafted Jer’Zhan Newton who many think could be a pro bowler. Lots of media orgs also gave the commanders A/A+ draft grades. No mention of the commanders is really crazy 😂
Thank you for having a sane take on the 49ers draft results. I have seen so many people misunderstanding what they were trying to do and saying their picks were failures.
im actually a bit sad Bullard went to the Packers. Dude was a favorite of mine, and now i have to hate him for a while. Tons of respect to Chris Ballard for sticking up for Mitchell, honestly, I respect the hell out of it. Also, im glad Perna has Anchor in his title. That way we know he loves to slow down/stop small boats, great to have passion for something.
I'll always love ya Perna, but not a fan of the new Intro. But, you are cooler than I, so what do I know! PS, I'll trade Paton for Ballard any day of the week....or Lynch...or Big Pimpin'...or anyone, but Paton...even Perna for GM!

I typically don't bother to point out your anti-Chiefs bias because I respect the blind hate of a rivalry, don't ever like being a jerk and know you only do it to hurt us Chiefs fans, but showing the chart you used for your evaluations in the beginning and seeing the Chiefs at 5th best then watching you saying their draft sucked does make me chuckle. You're a funny guy Perna. I hope the Chiefs and Broncos both got better and we get some fun games (where the Chiefs always win) over the next few seasons.
Why do perna and grossi refuse to give credit to the commanders no matter what we do, I love them but this is crazy everyone is saying we crushed the draft. They just keep talking about the same teams it’s getting old
I stressed Denver’s pick with you live on your channel. We were both apparently watching the same west coast network that was 15 seconds behind any one else broadcasting the draft. Your comment section had the pick in a minute before my tv all night.😶
18:32 much love from Pittsburgh lol been watching your videos before the dangeruss era lol now we got em🤦♂️😒 lol we wanted jf1 &got him 2 so if we happy down here lol but trying my best the get caught up on your vids lol
Actually I think "value" is a good metric to have in the draft because even if later round players can be hall of famers and first picks total busts value shows you how the organization of your team works because value also applies to signing of free agents, contracts, salary cap, etc. So it actually tells your if your team is in purgatory like the Panthers or it actually is starting to be good after changes like with the Steelers (yeah Wilson can be bad but he was free lol)
9:56 not only do all of the picks you mentioned in this segment look good, the Dolphins managed to pick one of the most underrated WRs in the draft, Malik Washington, in the 6th for their slot. He was very consistently getting 100+ yards/game with absolute garbage QB play on a UVA team that went 3-9, and nearly singlehandedly willed them to more wins (UVA got to OT against Miami, forced Louisville to make a late comeback, and NC State should’ve gone to OT if the entire rest of the team didn’t literally throw it away). While Miami obviously already has 2 great receivers, imagine how dangerous they’d be if they had a solid WR3 as well
Prior to the draft, I had the Wilson WRs going to opposite Pennsylvania teams than they did... Philly being more associated with speed, I thought Roman would've been a shoe-in, and prototypical Pittsburgh would've loved Johnny's size and run blocking prowess. Unexpected, but I still like both picks for both teams.
It's been so long since the Steelers were given a draft grade above a C. They normally make a suspect 1st round pick and get gems late in the draft. It was nice to immediately feel great about each pick as they were announced

I think Kwesi, Vikings GM, has quietly put together some very good drafts the last few years. Outside of his first draft, he’s been excellent and this one looks very much like another one.
Steelers nailed it. I mean, our QB room is still dogshit, but our offensive line might make Najee look a little less like Trent Richardson. All hail Omar “King” Khan
How is it dog shit. Kenny and mason were closer to that (I love mason no hate to him) but fields and Wilson are a clear upgrade and with weapons both can be deadly. I do love this draft and our chances and winning the division next season.
Bro yall got Justin fields who is amazing but needs to stay healthy he’s better than Russ, the only reason the bears got rid of him was because they had a chance at a better talent out of collage and reset the clock, Fields keep the bears competitive when that team has no other good players on the team for 2 years,
I wouldnt call it dog shit it is certainly an upgrade from previous few seasons. I would say flirting with top half of the league but nothing incredible.
Bear fan here... There were A LOT of us who wanted the Bears to keep Fields and maybe trade down one or two spots, get a few extra picks and still be able to get Harrison Jr and one of the the Top Rated Left Tackles (Alt, Fashanu, Latham)... I was one of them. The kid is good. And sometimes he can be REALLY good. He isn't perfect by any means, but... I am 120% positive he wins a Super Bowl or 2 with the Steelers. Yes, as the starter. That is just because that is how thi is go for the Bears and Bears fans. Anyway. while I did want to keep Fields, I am thrilled with the Draft. We did about as good as could hope for. Now I just hope it works out. And I honestly want Fields to do well, too. He is a great kid and he will become a fan favorite in Pittsburgh quickly. Also, he will be a locker room favorite as well. His Teammates love him! You guys got a good one. Congrats!
As a fan of yours and a Welsh Man, would you mind doing a video on Lewis Rees-Zammit, please? I admit him being a Chief might be difficult for you, but I would be grateful. It would also be interesting to see what your opinion of Rugby is 🙂

Richard Sherman commented on the Penix Jr pick which made sense. The falcons believe that with Cousins under center that they won’t have another high pick in the draft, and letting penix sit for two years and learn would be like the GB method. But they should’ve done this with McCarthy who is 3 years younger. But I digress. It made sense for them I guess.

Honestly Justin Fields is scary, if they work the offense around him and he gets comfortable he’s going to be hard to stop
It would also be interesting to see what your opinion of Rugby is 🙂
Great breakdown Perna, how did the Cowboys havean A- draft grade on that kist you were scrolling through 😂
Nice to see the Niners getting a mention for a nit too shabby draft - was very surprised we did not trade.
7:55 .... and thats why I'm subscribed. Keep up the sports with a side of comedy.
A lot of other content creators take a swing at comedy and miss and that is worse than doing no comedy at all, it's just kinda cringey.
12:34 taking Jerry’s quote out of context was hilarious 😂
browns draft was solid tbh
Richard Sherman commented on the Penix Jr pick which made sense. The falcons believe that with Cousins under center that they won’t have another high pick in the draft, and letting penix sit for two years and learn would be like the GB method. But they should’ve done this with McCarthy who is 3 years younger. But I digress. It made sense for them I guess.
Chop Robinson was a reach. And Miami just drafted a Rb worse than Achane..... nah. C grade.
yeah he wildn, overreaches galore and no Eagles in the top five😂
I’ve got a lot of respect for Chris Ballard. More GM’s need to just publicly say “Man, fuck that shit”
It’s gonna be weird seeing the NFC North being possibly the best division in football
What universe is that?
@@antcantcook960Who do you think the best division is?
"Ladd mcconky, troy Franklin, or ricky Pearsall..." one of these things is not like the other ones...
You are right. Ladd McCkonkey is black
WTF, I love Chris Ballard now... that presser was awesome, haha.
