when you have a place like this so far from were you live you need to find some one to be a caretaker in return for free room and board . it's something that was popular in Florida way back when I was a kid . it's one of the best and cheapest ways to have a place like this and keep it safe because the person guarding the house is literally protecting the place they call home even if it's yours. it would also discourage the local teens from using it as a party house like they have been doing.
its the woods. I lived in a camp for a year..was gone for a couple of days. Came back and found a chainsaw and little stockpile. a thief was using the camp that wasn't his to store his stolen stuff. It was so common, the cop told me just to keep it..and have a gun.
Right , i used to go camp out in old abandoned houses as a kid with my buddies and had the best times , and also i wouldn't leave my friend out there alone .
Wow that property is amazing. Ike you are a lucky man. You should be buying yourself a bunch of trail cams and sticking them all over that place so when those people come back in there you get some footage. one of the most beautiful areas of the whole country. You guys are really doing a nice job shaking things up and keeping the show interesting. I myself am building two karts for my granddaughters right later on this winter I'm going to build myself a CB750 powered kart.
@@dextermorgan4337 I moved into a 110 year old farm house that hadn’t been occupied for well over 20 years with a massive roof issue. The bones were still good and, eight years later, it’s now the nicest home I’ve ever lived in. The original red oak framing made it worth saving.
As an old guy who watches y'alls channel I'd have to say this was one of you're most epic adventures to date... And it reminds me of us when we were younger and took road trips at the drop of a hat,on 2 wheels of course and saw new and exciting places and interesting things along the way... It's not the destination but the miles of smiles along the way that's important ...

For scrap metal. That shit is everywhere. I've seen on the news where, in big cities, thieves cut down lighting cables for the copper, costing the cities or companies hundreds of thousands of dollars to replace.

That looks like a Black snake skin. We have lots of them in PA. I use to find at least 3 or 4 skins every year in our basement storage area. They were about that size. Sometimes when I have been in the basement I would hear sticks that we would store between the joists fall. I would go into the room and look up and see the snake sitting there. I made a pole snare and would catch them and use a board with x-acto knife blades on the end and stab and kill them.
Especially in the house, that way ya dont get 500 deer pictures. Have to hide em though, maybe behind one-way glass or something, or in a wall with just a small hole for the lens.
Love to see the CT 70 again. I used to ride these in my day, awesome trail bike. Muddy from head to foot and loved it!!! It would be cool to have a Honda CT revival…
Perfect bug out place, I would may say, when SHTF, some land for gardening, a well, close to a river, nice scenery and a little offside the main roads. But one has to keep it protected, always good to have a car parked close to the house and some light on, love such places... Greetings from Scandinavia

Thats one of the pretties rivers we have here in WV and the covered wooden bridge at the end of town has been rebuilt twice due to fire both times I believe the recent rebuild wasn't finished till a few years ago,,, very historic little town... Ya all should get some tubes next time you go and do a river trip, its alot of fun during the hot summer months. Great content as always fellas!!
That is a really neat property and super quiet and peaceful, especially with the river right there. Would be a really nice place to have fixed up for weekend trips if you could keep it from being vandalized in the mean time.
That old red 70 looks just like the one I had as a kid. Someone picked ot up off the side of a dirt road near my house after the carb clogged and it died on me. This was in Guilford county NC. Honestly I hope the one you guys rode is it. Just knowing that it's still going after all these years would be awesome. No way of telling really if it's the same bike. I know one of the side covers had a nickle sized hole on the top where my dad wrecked it. (Road a 150ft wheelie down the road with a stuck wide open throttle in front of my friends and I as we played soccer in a neighbors yard. Wrecked when he set it down) He patched the hole with JB weld or something, just seeped a little after that. And that one looks like it has a new cover. If that's my old bike I will seriously go get a bank loan for whatever you want for that bike asap. Man, when that exhaust heat shield starts vibrating it really brings me back. That sound is so familiar.
My guess on the rock stacks is someone use to make a living selling stone. With the bigger ones there too they spent their days chiseling away to make useful stones.
Small world. I remembered the intersection where SR38 + SR92 come together from visiting there years ago. Moms family lived in Ronceverte. I've been through the bridge several times.
I can't help but laugh at Ike's amazement at the "Bake King" pan.... I have 2 of them passed down from my great grandmother and I love them. She got them when she was a little girl when her family moved to the United States from Poland in 1896 and I still have them..... Ike is gonna have some pretty looking pies for breakfast now. LoL

That house sure brought back found memories. Years ago I bought and remodeled a old house for my Grandma to live in. Unfortunately some relatives that hadn't spoken to her in decades came and took the house after she passed away, so I ended up loosing the investment but it sure was fun spending my evenings and weekends fixing up the old house just how she wanted it.

Old CT90s are great bikes indeed.
Mine is a first year model, 1964, so it doesn't have high and low range. And it's a pushrod engine. Kind of a rare bird now.
