What I was getting at with my hot take was that every adaptation from the Raimi movies onward has been adapting from the ultimate comics. Raimi, Webb, Watts, Spectacular, MTV spider-man was originally going to be adapting the Ultimate comics, the USM cartoon, Insomnaic, Spider-verse. Almost everything has drawn from this one bit of source material when there’s so many other sources. I just wish we get an adaptation that doesn’t give Peter a social life in high school or be this mis-mash of ultimate comics mixed with. The ultimate comics are a great source material, and have served as the groundwork for the MCU from the beginning. But it would be nice for Spider-man to lean more into the other comics for characterization and worldbuilding. Honestly, Spider-man TAS is some of the best worldbuilding out of every adaptation. He exists within a larger universe but be able to stand out on his own. Which allowed for very fun crossover moments without anyone being overshadowed.
I would very much love to see a Spider-Man that does his own thing. Sure, he'll help out other superheroes like The Avengers or The Fantastic Four, but he won't agree to join the team, even if it's temporary. He's called your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man for a reason. It'll also be a good opportunity to show moral conflicts between him and other superheroes, as this was certainly shown in the comics.

I mean have your opinion but my god keep it to yourself. The spider verse movies are works of art. That is a few cans on the floor. Sure some may call it art, but it is ultimately just a few cans on the floor. Also, i always hated the argument that "since it's animated, I won't like it as much" like, give an actual reason to not liking it. That's like giving someone who exclusively deinks coffee tea and them saying "I don't like this because it's not coffee" once again, you are entitled to your opinion but i cannot, in good conscience, agree with what you are saying based purely on "its animated"
I prefer the Raimi Trilogy over Spider-Verse too, also he never he didn’t like it because it’s animated. Personally I just don’t connect with Miles as a character at all, that’s mainly why I prefer the Raimi movies over Spider-verse.
Hot take, Tobey Maguire is overrated, Andrew and especially Tom got too much hate, neither Tobey, Andrew or Tom is the most comic accurate Spider-Man because they all do something different from the source material but they're all good in their own ways and Miles Morales is Spider-Man
Playing spiderman 2 it felt like peter was made more useless over time, he literally forgot he had webs save people on a boat, miles was able straight up over power peter during the symbiote fight he literally grabs peters fist an pushes it down, the anti venom suit just gets beat up an wtf was with his personal missions peter got the flame an miles got a tour round the diversity college, also nothing against miles in the slightest as a character i think miles is great but in spiderman 2 really felt like he got whored out for diversitys sake alot of times threwout the game. Was a great game but you notice this stuff more on every new playthrew

Or miles getting the stereotypical jazz missions ? Or how when miles is around Peter is more incompetent, look how he was saving people at the fair compared to on the boat or with the symbiotes or how they literally decided not have miles taken over by the symbiote to show he better than Peter, i didn't notice this stuff the first time I played it but it's been out a year iv played it to the point I finished it on ultimate without leveling up at all an after a while you notice this stuff, you can also enjoy a game and after playing it a 1000 times notice things in the game

My hot take is Ben Reilly has a greater sense of responsibility and will power than Peter during his beginning and sensational days, Peter had support while Reilly had no one, and was battling with being his own person AND still pushed to be Spider-Man
