Chaos Orks are a thing! The most obvious example is the Nurgle Orks in Codex: Demonhunters and Chapter Approved back in 3rd. Edition.
One of the recent Golden Demon winners was a Chaos Ork.

I've done a couple proxie teams for Warcry. I'm really tempted to do all my bases with clear now since I use battle mats a lot of the time.

They* are cool models for sure.
As for playing, I wouldn't be thrilled. I prefer wysiwyg but if it's a single model that already stands out, it's fine e.g. black templar with a flamer counting as the gunner w/ grenade launcher. A good metric on your conversions is keeping track of how many times they ask about a model during play.
Traitors as intercessors, space marines as legionaries, grey knights as warpcoven, etc... these swaps are fine if they pass the identifiabilty check above. Heck, even Stealthsuits as intercessors has popped up and doesnt break my immersion. But I'd go for different bodies if they are proxying as a heavy infantry.
If the weapons are wysiwyg, I'd hold that complaint, but it kind of breaks the immersion for me. Ironjaws might be a good kitbash for "eavy orkz.
Like I say its just me and my mate ad its all about fun and the rule of cool 🙂

Orcs=fungi=different shades of green. Inspired idea that there is variety in skin tones. Got me thinking about mixing skin tones for all my figures.

Your "Chaos Orks" came out great.
Maybe for the next team, try some Genestealer Cults Orks. "The Green Jeans". Instead of green skin, make their pants green, and their skin pink, like a Genestealer cultist. Don't forget to stick on some extraneous arms.

An all gretchen army wearing guard helmets with guard weapons and maybe guard flack vests, maybe use a scaled down IG torso and print a bunch of empty helmets then trim the ears put holes in the helmets and glue the ears back on

The rokkit launcha for heavy bolter does take away the emersion for me, but Mr modulork makes a gatling gun, keeping with the predator theme
U should try some ca activator. Activator is an must have for resin printing! And an ABS Like Resin (maybe even tuned with 10%Sirayatech Tenacious) makes your minis far more resilient.

For the glue to paint handle problem. I saw a eons of battle video a while ago where he used 3M dual sided tape to keep minis in place on the handle. Maybe that can be a solution for you as well.

You may want to try double sided sticky dots for sticking the minis to the paint handle. They are a lot easier to remove than glue. It could be an alternative to give a try.

Love them , i use also the slap chop but dont try speed paints , iam a beginner .
If you don't want your models to snap, then instead of using normal resin, use Anycubic tough resin, or the ABS-like resin. They'll behave more like the normal plastic models :)

If you plan on making different kill teams in orc form,you could do blue orcs for the tau.just a suggestion. Love the channel.

What 'dual-class' teams do you think might work with Orks?
Off the top of my head, eldar teams. Similar body counts, each have a melee and shooty model, and a couple options for big gunz.
Maybe I need to make up a dozen models with magnets in the arms so I can just swap out weapons 🙂

Everything about those ork minis is great *EXCEPT* their stumpy little arms compared to their elongated torsos. Very out of proportion to the rest of the model.
