LG had lots of stuff to show at CES, but I focused on their Ultragear Gaming Monitors - with 3 new OLED displays incoming: the 39” 39GS95QE and 34” 34GS95QE, which are ultrawide curved gaming monitors with 3440x1440 resolution and 240Hz refresh rate, and the LG 32GS95UE, a 32” 4K 240Hz OLED with a Hybrid 480Hz 1080p mode. Also included - a look at the new Gram Pro and Gram Pro 2 in 1 laptops.

I'm waiting on the 2160p version of that 39".
Had the xenon flex and returned it and went with 38” alienware why ots not oled the resolution is right. The resolution is just to low for larger than 34”
YES!! I would pre-order it NOW. LOL
They should keep improving that size and form factor! The 38UC99 was such a game changer. It's just a little shorter than 32 inch 16:9 and width is under 90cm.
OLED would make it an instant buy. There are 42" OLED versions at least.
Same. I got the Alienware 38” on a black Friday deal and now can’t give up the extra vertical space/resolution.
You'll be waiting another 4 years to drive that monitor at higher fps. 😅
Thanks Paul. Your coverage of CES has been the most complete on TH-cam!
Lets get some 4k Ultrawides going... So tired of seeing 1440p >_>
It's a shame the 39" is still only 1440p. At 3840x1600 it would've been the perfect monitor.
Is this a joke that is not a improvement at all and can not be able to tell by naked eye 😂
@@damodaralluri8988 1440p on a 39" ultrawide is the same as 1440p on a 32" normal screen. The resolution is too low for that size.
Agreed! The 1440p doesn't have the best pixel density even at 34", so keeping that resolution at 39" is crazy - the PPI drops from 109 to 95. Considering most people are still going to be putting a monitor that big on/above their desk, that low PPI is gonna be noticeable when you're that close. Ew
@@damodaralluri8988 aspect ratio isn't everything. it'll be noticeable
@@damodaralluri8988 It will be significantly noticeable as the DPI is much lower. 1440 at 39" will be visible to the naked eye. I am one of the 0.1% of steam users running 3840x1600 and I couldn't drop down to 1440.
I bought myself an LG monitor for Christmas. 32" 1440p 165hz, at Walmart for $219 bucks. It's an entry level panel but, it's still the sweetest monitor that I've ever owned, by far.
Thank you for all the great coverage!!
Randomly dropped in here, but you're the one who taught me how to put together my first computer, way back when you worked at newegg, Paul! Cheers from Norwegian enthusiast
Love watching how far Paul has come.
Paul’s CES is basically the only coverage I watch always the best
The hardest working YT'er @ CES 2024 great coverage Paul...
The true 4k oled ultrawide is literal endgame monitor. Thats my goal 👍
OH, yeah. 40" 5/2K with at least 144hz QD-OLED. Yum, Yum. Money will be given.
Stoked for the 39" !
Wow. We are finally seeing progress in OLED monitors! I'm actually excited for once.
Will be interesting to see if OLED, MINI LED or other variants will "win" the coming decade. TCL has some amazing TVs coming with a buttload of dimming zones and massive nits.
@@la7dfait’s either oled or micro led
@@TimOD-hm9eu The price for micro led is way too high (yet), but who knows what the future will bring. Anyway the mini led has a lot of advantages including price. If you have enough dimming zones the blooming will become virtually invisible for your eyes.
Something else that's nice on the 4k 32" monitor, narrow bezels!
Tempting, tempting, tempting, especially sat here with a stuck pixel line on the current monitor I have.
A resonant screen wins the award for most odd tech.. Thanks to Paul, Joe and Chloe!
Hey Paul did you maybe catch from a sales rep or something if the 4k oled supported Black Frame Insertion at 120hz or above? Both Dough and Asus models with this panel seem to support it so that makes me think it's an LG thing, but they don't seem to mention it anywhere.
I look forward to this one. Wish it has BFi and BFI VRR that would be awesome.
Hey Paul, what kind of camera are you using? Looks very good the picture
Thanks. Conferences are exhausting
9:05 that Gram 2n1 with pen support looks pretty nice!
I wonder if the 4K's 1080p mode is using integer scaling or just bilinear
BTF Mobos, 4k monitor and 4070 Super Ti will be in my house this year.
These hybrids seem to be limited not by the displays but the display port itself, you can't run 4k/480hz on any current display port standards. It looks like we've already reached the upper limit of display port and they're either going to have to come out with a new version or perhaps usb-c will take over monitor cables.
I've been asking this 5 years ago and it seems these old outdated chips won't get updated unless demand increases. Which is now. So they're way behind as expected.
Boy the monitors !
Hello, It is interesting. I am impressed
One good thing about buy a High End Monitor, it will last you a decade or a few years past that, so it is not like a video card or a CPU that is outdated 3 or 4 years after buying.
the single-button switch is a killer feature. Navigating monitor menu is annoying so I almost never change anything on mine. I wish I had a magic button like that.
Wow thanks. I am wondering if it would be about time to change my kid's OLED77G3PSA to these? I sort of threw that at him last year when he screamed he needed a monitor at his dorm.
I have the 45" from last year. It's incredible. In my opinion buy with confidence.
How is the text display? I’ve been hesitating about it because of the resolution to screen size ratio (it’s something like 90 ppi).
@@fetzie23 88ppi if I remember correctly. It's tight and very crisp. I have bad eyes and can easily read text on the screen. That has always been a problem for me so I can understand what you're talking about. I don't have any problems with this monitor.
The 800 curve is to much 😊
I love my 45in just wish they'd offer more for wall mounting
The ultragear monitors are the best in the business.
I'm still using a 24 inch 1080p 144h IPS screen. When I eventually upgrade to one these it's gonna blow my mind
yeah, can't wait!
Were those monitors showing Chorus? Seriously, that's a fun game that is perfect for showing HDR contrast and high refresh rates.
Why aren’t the 32” panels VesaDisplayHDR1000 certified?
@0:42 Awesome cable management!
😂😂😂
Is the panel on the 32gs95ue grainy because of the matte coating?? Or is it a bit glossy ?
The 4K / 1080p hybrid model has caught my interest. I'm assuming it will use pixel binning since 4k is exactly four times 1080p, so both resolutions will be 'native'.
ahh if only it wouldn't be matte :( even on this video the one on the left had brighter colours, I need glossy
@@johnepic2422 agreed, I also prefer glossy.
Always loved LG monitor/tvs, but I wonder how these compare to the qd-oleds that are getting a lot of praise from Samsung?
Yeah, although LG is 300-nits brighter, QD-OLED just provides a higher color volume and is not at all dim at 1000 nits. It's the additional 300 nits vs the color volume of the QD-OLEDS.
@@dreistheman7797When the monitor isn’t made by Samsung you actually have a decent chance of it working and not needing to call customer support to get told that your problem isn’t covered by warranty though, so there is that.
@@dreistheman7797Haven’t they improved that with their MLA (meta technology)?
@@fetzie23aren’t all QD-OLED made by samsung displays?
@@Xuzyyyes, but that's not what he said, he said the monitor. Samsung branded monitors are known to have issues early. I have the Alienware but still uses a QDOLED
Im waiting on a high refresh rate 27-32" curved 2560 OLED. I love my G8 and G7 but i need 16x9 + OLED
Any 4k curved ultrawide coming?
How much was that oled dual monitor? Thing looked crisp!
please get pricing and pre order information for this LG 32GS95UE 32” 4K 240Hz OLED w/Hybrid 480Hz 1080p mode I have been waiting on this monitor the dual mode one also ask if this one will support BFI like the asus model since LG claims this is the first dual mode monitor that means this model should be out before the asus one
I'd love to get the 39GS95QE but 800r is a bit too much for me!
1500r or 1800r instead would be great!!
This. 800r is a joke.
Paulus Hardwareius. We who are about to buy salute you 🖖
0:46 You don't need to say "O.L.E.D." I feel like nobody does that anymore, so just say "OLED." Much faster lol
I’m regretting buying my 27inch oled from LG after seeing g this 32 inch dual mode. What a beast.
anti glare finish? for the Lg Oled 240/480?
I just want them to make a 4K ultrawide, it's always either 1440p or double 4k. Give me something like 5120x2160
Yeah we seriously need some 5120x2160 and 7680x2160 ultra and super ultrawides in qdoled, surprised there wasn't any even announced....
Have LG IPS monitor and a new 65" LG tv. I'm an avid supporter of their products for years now.
I'm still waiting for the 5k ultrawide monitors. I might cave for the 4k 240hz though.
OLED is so nice!
Would love to see the LG 32GS95UE compared with the Alienware AW3225QF.
Hello, Will lg 49” Monitor be ready? Will lg 45” Monitor be ready?
Question about these Swtichable Monitors = i See 4k @ 240 response To 1080P 480 response = Is there a 1440p Mode = Say round 340/360 response ???
what was that space game demo shown there, freespace ?
was hoping to see a few new 45inch oled displays but nothing yet :/
What version display port is the lg oled monitor running?
I need one of those monitors in my life.-
When is the 45in coming out 😢
Ive 2 38" ultrawides but im very interested in the 39" for my gaming rig. Would their be any improvements to text quality on this like the new alienware gen3 oled monitors. This and the asus monitor i didnt see much talk about them this year versus tye alienware ones
the new 39" only has 95 ppi vs the 34" 115 ppi
@@SilverDoobie I think the text issues was more to do with oled and not using the standard rgb layout. Samsung fixed the issue with their panels. From researching its not fixed on the lg panels so its only good for gaming.
Hi Paul, why is it that no one when Demoing monitors, tells what the lowest GPU that is required to run these monitors, there could be a big increase in price, depending on one's current GPU, if it is not powerful to run these monitors
Is DP 1.4 sufficient for this 4k 240Hz?
Are those monitors QD OLED?
LG has some great ideas but what moron told them that gamers all want an 800R curve? I have been all LG for my display choices for quite a few years but looking at the new displays that interest me, I will have to look too other brands.
Whats the best way to clean your monitors? Please respond, Paul. I only want your answer.
Hi Paul. Did you read that LG sign before you picked up those laptops (7:06)? The sign that said, "You break it, You buy it." But then again, you're not JayzTwoCents.
I have zero desire to upgrade from my AW 21:9 1440p isp. Maybe when the RTX5090 launches i can see hitting over 100fps on 21:9 4k displays.
What Space Game was on the 4K Curved LG Monitor?
Chorus
Does anyone know if the ultrawides will use the new pixel layout that was mentioned at some point? LG Display is supposed to move the white subpixel to a new spot in the layout to help with text rendering but I don't know which displays that is for. I currently have the Asus 27 inch WOLED and I love it but hoo boy, the text rendering for desktop is SO BAD. I've seen QD-OLED fringing and I can promise you it's way, way, WAY worse. Wanting to jump on one of those ultrawides though.
The roadmap that I saw showed that those smaller ultra wide did not have the new layout
What game was it being played at 5.40
I wish 16:10 was more available everywhere, not just laptops. I'd love to have a 3840x2400 desktop monitor!
Why not get an utrawide instead?
ASUS has a 28" 16:10 in their ProArt line. Not really a gaming monitor but it sure does have a beautiful display panel.
No displayport 2.1 :/
Have a mate that picked up the 45" LG ultrawide, I am not sold on the curve, its just too much for me.
sony tv does the sound panel trick
OLED Monitors are KING of the Hill vs QD-OLED. I would drool over any LG OLED coming up.
I think I'm good with my 27GR95QE. 240Hz, 1440p. Might be a little older. But, it's top notch compared to what I had... A near 14y.o display. Just upgraded.
Yeah, I game at 1440p as well and it's been pretty great. Zero issues. With a good GPU and really nice monitor - 34" ultrawide - I am enjoying it.
I'm thinking of the 4k to 1080p for playing older games which look better at 1080p or even lower. I'm surprised no one covering these have thought about this use
Why would a game look better at a lower resolution
I will be a happy man when a 32" 16:10 480Hz OLED monitor is available.
I always love watching monitor reviews about FPS on my 65” 60hz living room tv as if I can tell the difference between
What game is running at 1:20 ?
We Need More 24:10 Screens
I have no frickin clue how people manage with acres of monitor, I went from a 15 inch laptop to a 27 inch monitor this year and it's almost too big.
What game are you playing on the monitor comparison?
Chorus
I couldn’t decide on this TV or the Samsung Odyssey G9, so I bought them both 😂

Could you recommend a motherboard and graphics card
get the 7800x3D instead.. no needs for a 7950x3d. Also, ditch that Ram and just get 6000 CL30. Seems like you want to spend some money so get the Sapphire Nitro 7900xtx and the MB not sure just get a good mid to high end.
I still love my Alienware AW3423DW. I pre-ordered it and still have no regrets even with the price drops and new monitors coming out. I can't imagine needing anything better. It looks absolutely amazing. If you don't have an OLED yet it is time to buy one. It's a complete game changer and the tech we were waiting on for a decade is finally ready and refined.
no photo warning, Paul takes video instead 😆
what games is this 5.33?
Hi
It’s matte coating. You didn’t mention that
Is there going to be an update to the 45” OLED in 2024? If so, what will be the new feature? No one has covered any information about it.
TFT Central covered the LG roadmap. We will get 45" at 5k in 2025.
@@iustinianmihailfocsa sweet. Then I’ll buy the 2023 45” when it discounts soon, then upgrade next year
You should have started with DisplayPort 1.4a only, I would have tuned out. Having video compression on such a high end monitor with a matching price. If it does not have DP 2.1 its not worth looking at. If you are going for OLED screen and 240hz, you have image quality at the top of your list. HDMI 2.1 still has compression on the video quality the same as DP 1.4a. DP 2.1 does not have this loss in image quality, GPUs to support this are now out.
these panels are soo 2022. I'm waiting for the transparent 8K 900hz 32:9 69" oled with AI so i can see 2 seconds into the future!
i want monitors under $500. i wish there were more
They make 1800p and 1600p in 17 laptop screens but 39 inch is only 1440 :( please LG give us a large format 16:10 please.
So still no 4k oled curve monitor 😔...
I am never buying another LG product again. I had such problems with my last TV.
Matte!
I have a 45 inch of these is great for gaming , but mine is just 1440p (3440x 1440P) ( 86 PPi which is low ), is not so great for productivity. i play Cod , fornite to take advantage of its 240 hz.
