In this video I head up to Anglia Car Auctions for their August summer sale, which had over 250 classic cars lined up to go under the hammer. I wandered around the auction house recording anything that tickles my fancy, with this video featuring a wide variety of makes and models. I am a huge classic ford fan and obviously they still make up a big proportion of this video but who can blame me when there's so many temptations to look around!
In the outro of this video I explain my 'picks of the auction' and I would love to know, what you guys would've taken home yourselves theoretically speaking.

I used to look at one of those Nissan 200SX's every day when i was younger, lovely shape. Good vid to see what everything is going for...

Drive a classic for the enjoyment, not for earning money. My 1972 Hillman Avenger isn't worth much, but it sure gets noticed.

Green mini van for me. My cousin had a red one with a black roof back in 1975, when I was still only 15, I loved him taking me out for a ride in that van.

Jag S Types of that era are straight 6’s. My Dad had a couple of them back in the day.

Controversial, but to me that Scorpio is a beaut. The darkened headlights in the facelift, the spec, the colour, the leather, the engine, the ride. They’re great cars. Defo would have gone for that. I love a left field Ford, this and the Probe
I completely agree, the Scorpio is an unloved classic! 👍🏻
I had one in the late nineties, not that spec it was a two litre and burgundy, lovely to drive but a challenge to look at with those headlights

Great video. Festival of the Unexceptional, Radwood and other similar events certainly driving the values of 80s/90s cars, just hope they don't get too high for younger enthusiasts entering the scene
I feel they’re still very reasonable and you can jump in a 90’s “modern classic” with just a few grand in your pocket 👍🏻
For me the star of this auction was that mini van.
I rolled one of them in the early 90's 😅.
It was in amazing condition 😍

great video,i think the mercedes 300 was a bargain ,of you need a 4x4, estate to use as workhouse and the money spent by previous owner ,was amazing price soon it be tax an mot exempt

The "2001" Ford Scorpio is actually a 1998 car that had a private plate on from new and when it was sold at 3 years old, DVLA mistakenly gave it a "Y" plate instead. A very well known car in the Granada/Scorpio community... in fact, I nearly bought this car myself about 15 years ago. I owned about 11 Scorpio Cosworths over the years before moving on to S Class Mercs :)

Great vid. The wheels on the escort van are from the Orion Encore special edition from 92/93 ish (sad car knowledge from my younger years!) . Lee from CarUK did a review on this auction too- another interesting van appeared there too 😜

Yes that was our camper that went through, didn’t meet the reserve!

Back in the Early 2000 I had a L reg 106 Really same colour paint and remember the pedals been very small and using the side of my foot to drive but that was 1.3 and you had to keep the revs Up top to keep it Moving
That blue "TOPLESS" mini looks like it belongs from a lord of the manor estate like a DB5 could.

I had a 4.1 L mk4 Cortina, and a 3.0 L V6 mk1 Escort when i was a teenager.
Nice green Taunus too, bargain. The topless mini was mental, but cool.

Ah happy memories of the fiat 127 my mate has one I’m 53 I think I must have been around 18 when we managed to 7 it might have been 8 people on a short journey what a laugh god I wish I was young again 😂👊🐝

The Jag S Type has a twin overhead cam straight 6 mate, not a V8, although it does look like a V8 at first glance. The Scorpio V6 and Ford ST 170 were brammers. I'm surprised the latter didn't fetch a good price, especially with the one lady owner. Maybe it was Doris Schumacher !

That was fun. I wanted to know about a couple you didn’t cover - that Citroen GS caught my eye - but my pick of your pick was the S-type Jag - like a MkII but with IRS and a bigger boot. And an XK straight six. Bit old-farty, but still.
By the way, you were expecting that Volvo 850 to ‘go like stink’. Nope, it’s a good engine and enough for the car, but it’s got well over 150k and it’s dragging a big, boxy Volvo body. The T5 and other mad turbo versions were quick but not this one.

That restored green mini van was the star of the auction but it's too perfect to drive anywhere. The RS2000 was nice but the condition wasn't worth that much money, I'd have the vxr 220, a rare low mileage fun car.

Ive had loads of TAUNUS 2.3 and 2.8 they are European 2 door door we didnt get them but Europe got millions .i bought mine in Berlin .
