    I just love this little thing. The styling is JUST right in this sport model. If I were in the market for a vehicle of this sort I'd choose this over the CLA/GLA all day !!

    Thanks for another good one, Steve. This WAS a blast to drive. I also didn't expect it to look so stunningly good in person (I usually don't go for the swoopy look). Sadly, this is one of those cars where the downlevel trims constantly remind you of what they DON'T have: Too many blanks in the switchgear, and only a non-opening glass roof. If I didn't care about the absence of a spare tire, and had been willing to relent on AWD, this would have been a very strong contender for me. Powerful, agile, and responsive.

      Bruno TaTa Or I could drive my cheap as hell Kia Rondo, which had very few of the features you'd find at the top of the model range, but didn't constantly remind me of the fact by making me face an array of blanks in the switchgear.
      I understand that a carmaker can't mold entirely unique dashboards for every trim level of a given model. I just find that some makers/models are better at avoiding or tastefully camoflaging the blanks that result when one purchases a car with fewer options or a lower-end trim level.

    Hey Steve. I like the styling of these. This will be a great buy in about 18-24 months on the CPO lot when the price is in the mid thirties at best.

      I have found a few 2017s with low mileage already going for $29k in the Atlanta, GA area

    Steve most people say that the ride is too rough with the sport package. Did you find that to be the case?

      craig doss Quite firm but I think if you're the Sport type it'll be suitable.

    I hope it's more reliable than the Daimler it's based on. Regardless, I thought these Daimlers were made for them by Nissan, Infinity's parent company? I am thoroughly confused now.

      pedro fernandez This is built upon the Mercedes A-Class architecture which underpins the CLA and GLA. Nissan's plant in England builds the QX30 where it is then exported as an Infiniti. Hope this helps 😉

    Just one thing about the vehicle, i'm 6'4, i found my view from the driver's sight to be really, really, narrow despite adjusting the seat as much as I could. I don't think tall guys could drive this car and feel comfortable with it. And the blind spots looking out back? Also unfortunate considering how cool it is.

    Nice looking car. I feel like it's really a wagon disguised as a SUV though ;-)

    Question. How does Nissan/ Renault have a partnership with Daimler? It's an odd combination, but you tested partnership vehicles being the Mazda MX-5 Miata and Fiat 124 Spider.

      Nissan is building the X Class pickup truck for them, as well.

      A good read about that: www.autonews.com/article/20170105/OEM04/170109922/nissan-halts-joint-development-of-luxury-cars-with-daimler-report-says

    Non AMG motor with FWD and summer rubber, if I'm going that route I'll just get a GTI. I really like the way it looks but I'd want more punch and AWD.
    I want a grown up STI with nice amenities/design that isn't $50k. Golf R is a bit too boring but is close. I think Inifinti missed an opportunity here.

      The GTI is just a hatchback, this is actually a crossover. The Q30 is comparable with the Golf while this one is comparable with the Tiguan (I don't know if you got Tiguan over there in US). At the end, this is just a GLA with a different badge.

      Arlind22 Q30 and QX30 are identical except for ride height. Same as the A class and GLA are.
      Between the GLA and the QX30 I'd take the QX, much better looking and less expensive..

      I have the qx30s and I love it. 2017. I put a computer chip in it and it is spicy! My little car is great! I have the same one in the video. Same color. I had no idea I had a supercharger on it! Oil changes are $100 since I use synthetic oil. I know their worth came down but this thing is fast!

      Justin Bouche I have an honest question do you like infiniti?

    • @coureurdebois
      @coureurdebois 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes Q70, Q50S (3.7L), and the QX80 i loved. sadly the 80 is dated at this point, the Q70 needs to be updated soon and the Q50's prices have gone through the roof with these ehhhh turbo engines. the 3.7L was one of my top engines, i used to have videos on my channel of a Q50S, i had to privet them because of my job.

    • @coureurdebois
      @coureurdebois 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      but yes i enjoy them over Acura or Lincoln and would take an Infiniti over either of those brands.

      if Infiniti made a super car like Acura and a super sedan like the CTS V i would be a lot warmer towards the brand.
