    Got a Sideshow Batman Premium format and his trunks are peeling, might have to give this a shot. Great video and thanks for sharing!

      Your very welcome! On the boots and sleeves that I used the fabric paint I feel makes her easier to pose and don’t have to worry about cracking or peeling. Some people may not like it though since it’s technically not screen accurate.

    Oh man! I was looking on TH-cam to help fix my Hot Toys The Crow figure which is flacking like heck. I’m scared to try these repairs. But I think I would use the acrylic paint because it give off that shine. Why can hot toys use real leather and if it’s to pricey go white black fabric even though it may not be 100% movie accurate! These figures ain’t cheap $200+ So give us real leather or some substitute that can last!! Keep putting good videos! I’ve watch a few and there are informative!

      I agree, with what we are paying it’s not too much to expect leather goods. Some figures already come with it. Make it the norm!

    Have you tried using spray on vinyl fabric paint? It will get you closer to the factory vinyl Hot Toys probably used on the outfit.It coats thicker and flexible simulating that pleather look.Be sure to research the finish each brand has more shine some have satin.Dupli-color and Krylon have positive reviews.

    Instead of using normal acrylic paint, use Angelus Acrylic Leather paint.

    Yikes... Grateful that I haven't seen this on any of my HT figures so far. Some of them are 14 years old, so far so good.
    I like your creativity in making the best of your crumbling figs though!

    Is the tulip spray flexible? Like does it crack or crease when the fabric is bent?

    • @thejediknightswatch
      @thejediknightswatch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s just as flexible as if you didn’t paint it. Works great!

    I like your Liquitex acrylic paint idea. I'm going to try it on my Hot Toys Deadpool figure because all the black pleather on his costume has flaked off. If it turns out anything like your Catwoman figure, I'll be happy.

    I have the luke bespin and the boots are getting dusty do you know how to repair or take care of that type of material pls

    • @thejediknightswatch
      @thejediknightswatch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If they are dusty you can take a soft makeup brush to dust them off or even a microfiber cloth.
      I use a leather faux spray to maintain my pleather figures every 6 months or so.

      @@ashtoncrosby3517 honestly, I wouldn’t because the pattern on the suit is very very particular, and even if you don’t pose it when displaying the pleather will crumble eventually
