Hey TTB! I’m always thrilled to see a new video from you on a Mechwarrior build! The last part I played was Mechwarrior 2 - 31st Century Combat, and that was over 25 years ago. Your cool, friendly, and open personality really shines through, and I love how you present everything in your own unique way. Keep it up; you're a real asset to the community! Grüße aus Mannheim
I actually always play as Naomi because of the heat management perk. Stacking cooling bonus with the preferred mechs is massively viable for laser boats
Hey TTB, quick recommendation for an episode of German Mechgineering. Spider 5K with 4 magshots and a snub PPC, I've been running it lately with 2.5 tons of ammo and as much armor and engine power as I could still fit. The cooldown quirks give it a crazy rate of fire and the magshots pair really well with the snubby in terms of range and velocity, the pinpoint damage is great for chasing down other pesky light mechs or for running circles around assaults. I've been having loads of fun with it lately, I've gotten 700+ damage in multiple games.
Quick note: As you have a heavy lower arm AI will still try to use it if enemy gets too close instead of backing off to fire LRM I'd still suggest some form of shooty thing to avoid that.
I feel yeah the biggest issue with MW5 AI, mercs and clans generally brawl setups are the best as AI generally wants to just get into a staring match within sub 200m's. The issue with that is since they dont twist or do anything other then stare at you... it just feels like ER-S spam mechs are just the best thing to build for as it doesn't matter if it's a catapult SRM6*6+4ML's or IS LRM 20A+2 SL they're going to charge face first into a face time brawl. Unless you're playing co-op since things dont spawn 1km+ away like mercs I find most long range builds lacking cause most things spawn directly around the corner. Luckily clan missiles dont have minimum range... BUT the big BUT... is packing them with lasers is just way better as LRM's spread too much, and Autocannon UAC-Slug mechs are so so AC10/20 are fine because everything is 200m's of you... but ER-S Spam is way WAY too strong in current MW:C
@@shawnadams1460survivability is definitely preferred though my favorite mech on tabletop is the clanbuser archer so whenever I see a mech with 6 missile hardpoints its got to happen
In your Warhawk LRM build, you mentioned regular LRMs as preferable because you didn't notice any difference in clustering/effectiveness between the Artemis and regular LRMs. But your subsequent LRM builds such as the Adder or this one, you're recommending the Artemis LRM instead. Was this patched or was there something else to that?
I'd say that on a fully specced Spread Naomi + some Research more than LRM10 its noticeable... Avoid using LRM20 for hunting light mechs at all times. He talks about it about 7.20 in. If the Tag would help more I'd use that also, but sadly no. 4xLRM15 on my 2 Timbys until the Daishi unlocked :) (4xLRM10 over 2xLRM20+Artemis imo. as well)
With my maxed naomi, I do see a difference with artemis vs regular. However, the biggest difference in spread is purely Naomi and her spread reduction upgrade. It’s so good that I run regular LRM’s as she makes them tight enough already.
Good question, I suspect it's because the only thing that can reach it will be counter battery lrm. I don't know if the AI is closest or if it's who has damaged me most/lately.
In an earlier comment he made, he suggested it's supposed to be fixed, and he doesn't want to have to redo all the videos once the mechanic works as advertised.
I had her using similar, with 2x LRM15's and 2x ERLLas. So if she did run out she'd have some weapon left.

Hey, thanks!
YAY!! The Vulture is my favorite Clan mech overall.

Iv been running a timberwolf with 4 lrm15 and 6 tons of ammo for Namoi it has been working well

The TAG said, when you were installing it, max range 450 m. Isn’t that a bit limiting for an LRM build?
I suppose you can do even more in a Timberwolf.
For some reason it gives me a warning that my torsos have unused LMR ammo. I don't understand why it gives that warning.

It really is. That last mission on Turtle Bay, ugh. I finally beat it by stepping down to a Nova with 12 ERSLs and zapped everyone.
i made one for laughs that had 6 lrm 15s i can't run it on missions past turtle bay tho cause the ammo constraint
6 LRM 10's and all ammo, no extra armor works well too. But this build is just more survivable.

Where does one find the "shooting range" where you test things?

@@TTBprime Thank you!!!!!
I have a odd unrelated question i saw ppcs being fired. And I'm just wondering why ppcs look different from game to game?
Do teammates use TAG?
Yes.
When i forced my team to play in prime config (simpod), the A.I used that Tag a bunch times.

In the future for these videos can we move your picture so you arent covering the hud
Armor remover? What is this build, Turpentine?
First lrmy boii!
thanks for an excellent vulture build!
sadly with the horrible AI no build is reliable...
4 srm6 + 4 er slaser 556 armor, 11t ammo , 27.61 dps - this is support ))) p.s. lrm - bullshit ))
No, that is a brawler.
Why waste tonnage on art when it does nothing for the missles?
