To be honest, just go full bonkers and fit 15 ERML+2 gauss+2t ammo (that's still 39 rounds for each gauss)+targeting computer mk1 and fill the rest with double heat sinks. If you want more ammo, just replace a dhs or targeting computer in the leg with gauss ammo and u will be totally fine for every mission, mech bays and ammo crates are there for a reason. With +range from researching your ermlasers will almost have 700(!) meters range. U can shoot twice before you need to cool off.
It's important to know on high difficulty and late game, the enemies WILL be Elite level, and have high evasion, meaning a decent number of shots just won't connect (much like player evasion). So this quite possible might not be a guaranteed one shot, all the time.
Built out one kinda like this, but used a mix of Large and Med Pulse lasers but skipped the ballistics and just put armor EVERYWHERE... thing 2 or 3 shots most mechs and has nearly 900 points of armor 😅
You be taking less damage to if you kept moving. Doesn't make it easier to one shot Mechs but also makes it harder for the AI to hit you. I do realise you were mainly trying to show us , Killing Mechs with one shot. I am still a bit Mechwarrior 5 Mercs trained and I still go for head shots wherever I can ! I like Grinchpryde's build and will be trying it out ! Happy Mech Hunting guys .

Do a maximum damage with no heatsinks or extra armor.

Not sure lasers count as front-loaded damage :v
well I'm sure, so we'll go with that :)
