Should we show these builds on the training grounds environment or directly in missions? React to this message: Thumbs up = Training grounds; Thumbs down = actual missions!
I like the training ground for this build series. It's just faster and gives you a way to compare apples to oranges on the same targets in a replicable way.

Just wanted to say you are doing an excellent job with your channel! I’ve learned quite a lot about the game from your videos and your energy is great! Don’t change a thing and keep on doing what you do!
I used this build last night to get the achievement for doing a lot of missile damage and then changed out the arm and torso weapons to autocannon and machineguns to get the ballistic damage achievement.
Enjoy the MW5 content. I am wondering if there have been effective builds with LRM’s you’ve found for the AI? Yknow, considering how the AI behaves with its weapons, what weapons to mix LRM’s with, etc…
I found range banding the AI to different bands makes them work better and bunch up less. When you stick em all in MP laser boats the limits of the AI becomes very apparent especially with slower mechs like the dire wolf
When your mechs and pilots are upgraded, it's easier. The experience you get on the way might matter more. Obviously evasion matters so much more than any other statistic, laser range being a very distant second IF you are using it to potential and even then evasion matters while sniping. My advice: drop weapon weight from max armament to highest utility/sustainable fighting. Do it with rapid-fire, ammo and armor, cooling and sensors.... do your best to key the weapons in a format you can use easily and pop off all your guns in a burst too, dummy proof it so you can't (easily) overheat or end up waiting long to fire again.
Another great vid! Was hoping if you could share your thoughts on a Ballistic based Mad Dog buildout for Mia... Maybe LB-X or even Gauss (still think Gauss are so underwhelming). Thanks again for your vids!
I've always like the Hellbringer, but it's paper thin armor has hampered my use of it. I truly wish one could swap Omni pods in tabletop like you can here, because I would love to build a tough an brawling Hellbringer.
@@FieryCheeze I agree that art is a bit tigher, but you can carry an extra ton of ammo with standard srm. I’ve been leaning towards the standard SRM for this reason.
cool idea, given that Mech realy isnt the optimal platform for that, its surprisingly well working ^^ whóuld have liked to see it in a mission tho, that had given a bit better idea if just how well it works
*Are SRMs worth it?* I've see a bunch of laser-spam builds on this channel and they seem to kill much faster, and with infinite ammo. *_Edit:_*_ Yeah, just checked and found an example. TTB's Nova build (50T) kills the Atlas in 3 shots. And it had the same armour and speed. 15 tons less._
Does it matter where you put the armor pods? Like if you put it in the arm, is that arm better protected? Or is it just a flat rate for front and back armor no matter where you put it?
Yes it does matter. Without Extra Armor on the arms of your mechs they will drop off very quickly. Even a single 0,5 ton armor on each arm will make a huge diffrence for your MEch's Arms. More importantly your mech should always be moving if posible. The A.I Opponents are roling a dice if they hit you or not. The faster you move to the side, and the higher you pilots evasion Skill, the less likly the enemy will hit you.
i tray it... dps is good but very low ammo in real fight... p.s. ai not use srm, when I switch at the end mission srm ammo is full... I checked it 1-2 times ((( may be need grouped with laser... not try.
@@Billbeaux he did back then in Battlefield3 times 2011 also descent gameplay and tutorial clips on youtube, in german :)))) I was actually surprised he is still around.
Historically, the Summoner was always a better mech than the Loki. Why bother with all the weapons when you have tin foil for armor? The Summoner is garbage in terms of loadout now. It is almost as if the devs try to make the game harder by forcing you into mechs like the Hellbringer. It’s just silly.

@patriotjedi530 I mean every build they've shown in training has trivialized my Expert run.

Keep em in the shooting range
I believe there's value in both the shoot-around and in mission footage, they don't have to be mutually exclusive.

Mixing the omnipopds makes a whole world of difference to your builds and survivability.

Love these build videos. Keep em in the training videos

That'll be the next video, yep

I can't see much difference in combat between standard srm6 n srm6 + art. Just a weight difference. Am I missing something?
In my experience, the arts are gonna be tighter clusters from the moment they’re launched. If that matters to you, arts are the way to go.

I can't remember how many srm's you could fit on a Kodiak in MW4, but it was alot. So many...
You were dead from ER Large lasers before you could get close at least in MP. Star Adder / Kell Hounds FTW :)
Hellsplat? Splatbringer?

Would changing the head pod to the A, and mount a TAG laser to improve the SRM performance, be worth the 5 or so armor points loss?
TAG does nothing for SRMs. They are unguided.
Yes! A mech that does splat!
How about Warhawk 28 SSRM?

Only affects the omnipod it's placed in

Shameless bump requesting a DWF ERLL sniper build 😅
whats a good build for an adder?

No need for this. The Mad Dog can install 6 SRM4s.
you can do 6 srm 6 and 5 small laser , just have to watch the heat ^^

I skipped the Hellbringer and only bought one Summoner. A full Star of Mad Dogs does good work.
