The fix is a debris diverter it puts a cover over the hole with a whole in the bottom side of it

Do you ever try using a heat gun before pulling the lines apart? Obviously with a clog this severe just heat wouldn’t have freed it up but just out of curiosity. I always go with the heat gun first and see before I pull lines apart.

@MonumentalMeash it's not grease related. If I lose heat tape at a place that uses solid shortening I will. This customer uses liquid shortening. So it's never an oil issue.

Its from not filtering enough; debris builds up and pushes into the hole in the back of the fryer and crumbs falling into the return actuator valve and then when the return valve opens crumbs fall down from gravity and then compacts in the bottom of the return actuator valve.

@CommercialKitchenChronicles yes Pat because nothing that big would get through the pump without jamming the pump see the Frymaster videos and speak to tech support and they will confirm it is because of the debris building up and gradually falling into the return port that causes the return to restrict what you are saying caused it is impossible without jamming the pump because a grain of rice would jam the pump.

And that is why they have come out with the oil return diverter to stop the debris from falling into the return port.

I tried to share the video from Frymaster that states the same thing about debris backing up into the return port, but I don't know if it shared with you. You can find it at Frymaster search for diverter, and it states the diverter is to protect the return port from having debris pack into the return port and pack in. So again, "YES" what you shared is incorrect.
