No one at this stage seems interested in asking how it has come to this. They’re all just crying and wailing about Galloway’s election victory, and about how dangerous a person he is. Well, he may not be the ideal person for such a position, but again, how did it get to this point?
60% of the electorate couldn't be bothered to vote. An Independent in second place ahead of Tories, Labour and Libdim. Looks to me like the people are disillusioned with British politics. It's an interesting twist. Reform are going to split the Cons vote and Gazaway could split the Lab vote. We could end up with a very mixed government, which is worrying. Isabel is correct.
I agree with the Prime Minister, democracy itself in the UK is a target as Rishi Sunak was not voted for as Prime Minister - by anybody. I also think Mr Sunak is 100% correct when he says extremist groups in the UK are “trying to tear us apart” - one is called the Labour Party and the other is called the Conservative Party.

What is grotesque here is the criticism of Galloway. He is the only one among the candidates to have been brutally assaulted and injured for his views, dismissed from his job, etc, etc. The forces arrayed against him are many times more powerful and influential. If he wasn't such a forceful and resilient personality he would have overcome by now.
