I'll have to bring my 97 Stagea to your neck of the woods next fall after it evolves into its next form. I'm currently sourcing all the parts to build an awd/2wd rb30 big turbo somewhere around 800whp itll be controlled via a haltech ECU so you can do some skids at the push of a button. I'm sure itll be the wildest Stagea you'll ever drive 😁 but its gonna be alot of long nights in the garage building my dream with my own hands!
Definitely not taken too far. I remember Might Car Mods had a RB26 DETT with R34 GTR front, side 1/4 panels and interior on their show (not sure if it's theirs). It's definitely like an affordable Audi RS6! It can make huge power and it's a station wagon. Great vid! Also love the Stagea.
Not an rb26. A VH41. Nissan's luxury V8. Also has a turbo bolted to it for good measure. They never owned it though. It was Benny's (mechanical stig's) car
How is it reliability-wise? Where would you get parts that normally wears out? Is there a similar car thats in north america which shares parts with the stagea? Great video
while i don't like replying to a cruel dictator, many of the parts are shared with other nissan and i finit models (like the Z32 300zx or an infiniti j30, you can even fit audi ignition coils in). other parts like suspension and more uncommon wear items might be harder to find, but lots of north american shops or even nissan dealerships can order the parts in car is fairly reliable with some examples going into 500k kms
Nissanparts.cc has a few RB25 OEM parts, a lot of the R33/R34 stuff is interchangeable with the Stageas. Also Nengun.com. BoostFactory.ca might have a couple things but the chances of finding all the parts you need in one spot are very slim. Just the way it is!
@@FutureKLX300SMowner I dunno why he does in the video, any ad for this car has been around 16 -18 k. Haven't seen an ad for a long while, so I'm certain it's been sold finally? It only sat for 5 years
I would love to get one of these and drop a TB48 turbo in it. Such a better motor than the RB series. Even tho I have a RB26/30 R33 GTR Vspec my dream is a billet TB48 making 2200 hp.
Defusalxd I’ve heard people say that the TB48 and RB30 block's are the same height. The cylinder head and oil pans are the problem because they are a different heights. But if the TB48 had a billet dry sump that lowered the engine deeper into the compartment and the head was modified. I believe they would fit. There is a guy who fit one into a S14 240sx and it can fit into a S chassis then it could fit into an R. My dream is a R34 Mspec with a billet TB48 5.4 stroker, twin hsk vcam that prp is developing, sequential os-fr7 7-speed transmission with padel shifting, and more...
I’m pretty sure it doesn’t come with those emblems on the steering wheel and center console. Looks like there exterior emblems from the m35 with double side stick tape.
Velocity has been trying to sell that since at least late last year since I saw it when I was looking for my Stagea. And for good reason imo. At least when I saw it, they wanted way too much for what it is. And honestly it is not an attractively modded Stagea. Anyway, Stageas are awesome, and very very unique cars, but the gas mileage is abysmal. I had to fill up after driving only 100km at like half a tank. Cool cars, that particular one though, not worth it imo. But rest in peace whoever bought it
Hell yea i have my stagea cause my s13 and my skyline cant lug all the parts around the i buy haha(i have 8 cars so i buy alot of parts and tow cars home with it all the time haha)
Im a major stagea fan. Ive got a m35 with the 3.5 6 speed and its a beast. Lovely driving car with shitloads of grunt. Ive given a few v8s a hell of run, but the turbo Mazda 3 made mincemeat of it.
@@unlogicalgamers9669 the 6 is even better. They can both a bit scary really. Had a crack at a 6 too, n ate dust Lol. The staggie was just to big after 3rd gear. I really wanted to put a supercharger on my staggie, after that run in, to even up the odds a bit.
So beautiful and put lots of “modern” car design in shame

you're great at these reviews, cheers from Italy
2:57 there is also a non-turbo Rb25 which is the rb25de the turbo one is the rb25det.
I test drove this car at velocity hahah, nice review !
Any Stagea has my vote.
Wow, this looks really great. Nice build.
Why didn't these cars come to Sweden..? The stationwagon blessed country.... It's like made for Sweden....
We have a Stagea at the shop they swapped it with a VVTI 1J sounds amazing 🤤🤤
@david chappel nice childish response bro 👍🏾 you must be a child

This thing has been for sale for years. And will stay for sale. That price cant be justified...
under 10k is unjustified for an rhd awd sleeper wagon?
