Agreed, and sorting mechanically will only add value long term, despite putting mileage on it. Brakes were a good shout but driverain needs some work.

@@s15melb fake? Looks genuine Nissan to me. He can very well put nismo upgrades on the car and wear the badge. Nothing wrong with liking the look of the gtr and put parts of it on a gtt too.

Crazy the oil spill was almost the half track long. Lucky that it was noticed and hopefully nobody got hurt.

This is my worst fear. Wrecking my car would be bad, but spilling shit and causing mass porshe crash is a nightmare. I will be paying till death probably.

if you inspected your car for leaks beforehand and didn't do it deliberately /knowingly, why would you be paying for it?
@@Alexio.- You are responsible for your car. This is part of what track insurance should be able to cover. If you dont have it, you're getting hit with the bill. And even with insurance, depending on your coverage and the mess exceeds coverage, they will come after you for the rest.

but having all your life ruined because of car malfunction that happened WHILE you're on the track that you could not predict, seems excessive.
I thought you can't even get on track without having insurance?
And also I assume that direct hit incident and an aftermath of an oil leak will play very differently in court, it of course will depend if you did everything you could to prevent it.

I don't care what anyone says, this GTT is a cool car. I get the prestige of the GTR, but major kudos for creating a GTR-tribute car. And you don't feel afraid to drive a £200k GTR.

Tbh, the GTT having only 2wd and less computers onboard could make it a more fun car to drive

Had a ridealong in a stock GTT, even when stock you hear the blow off valve and sometimes backfires hahahh.. A friend picked his up for 25k now it's probably worth twice that easily 😬

It’s still kind of hilarious how expensive BNR34 chassis cars have become considering the fact that both it and the S15s were built so terribly compared to the earlier iterations (BNR32, BNR33, and S13, S14 respectively)
That clutch seems a little excessive for the amount of power from the engine
Gave me almost a heartattack, had to go into garage and give a hug for my r34 :D Seems like this rb25 neo has about 350hp, weird turbo and tune. Turbo wakes up so late that its almost hard to believe.
it looks undrivable, why would anyone want such tune and turbo setup? idiotic in my opinion.

rb25s can be very laggy without the right bits and a good tune. They weren't all that lively stock, and here around 4-4.5k RPM is where turbo starts spooling. Looks like doesn't reach peak till up near 5.5k
We see this type of performance a lot when people slap larger turbos on without the rest of the work. Mostly, these things need more flow down low
Looks like very lazy boost controll. But yeah it might be a large turbo running low boost and just getting in it's efficiency range right at the top end.
These oil spill incidents are what worry me if I ever head to the Ring. I thought maybe it's part of the risk of going on that track, just like any public road, but it's good to know that they do close the track and sort it out if it's major like this
Absolutely awesome vid, seeing a great car around the ring. I have a r33 gtst and never regret it that is not a "GTR". just driving it around and heads turning makes me smile. love the vids man keep it up

Love my R33 GTST Series2. Always get the "it's not a GTR" bullshit comments. Well aware it's not and it's not trying to be. It's the fun model is my response 😅
GTT and GTST can actually be a lot more fun! I also had an R33 GTST but I've got an R34 now :)
@@SkylineSiRB I reckon a well setup rwd would be better here, the less weight would prob help more than the amount the 4wd kicks in at these speeds
This car defo needs a smaller turbo, cause it sounds soo good when the pressure arrives! Or maybe check for an air leak!
Either it's an air leak or the turbo is toast. I think even a T88 would spool sooner lmao
The oil pressure also seems a bit low most of the time
iirc Non-GT-R R34's were known for their turbo lag, especially in the higher gears and without proper tuning and part selection.
Poor thing sounded like it had a misfire going up the hill...
@@R3IMUthe RB25NEO basically only builds boost in its "Vtec" range so above 4.5k rpm. Before that, theres a laughable amount of exhaust Pressure to get that Euro-whatever badge back then.

@@thelombax many care, as it resembles a car that looks the same like any other GTR or even GTR V-Spec II if you mod it, but doesnt perform as good. Nissan said "it reduced reduction cost, and with rear wheel drive there are less moving parts, so easier to fix for mechanics" The RB26 AWD GTR R34 is the icon and nissan didnt want to care about it with releasing the GTT for "reducing" its production cost. In the end of the day you can drive, buy, drift, have any care and i will not care, the GTT still looks cool af but its a disappointing car

Hey Misha, first of all great content as always! I'm wondering how do you compare (if it's possible) the driving dynamics of this Rwd R34 to a non M E46! I had the chance to drive them both (my personal car is a 330ci and i had an R34 GT-T like this back in Japan) so I'm very curious to hear something about it!
The rb engine and blow off valve combo is really nice. Hopefully the planned dyno session makes the car more lively.

Shame the GTT comes with the RB25, better than an RB20 I suppose, but if you want the look, it'll typically save you 20-100k depending on generation on Skyline 😅
I know I'd be sourcing an RB26 for it though, or an RB30 bottom.... the 20s and 25s are pretty slow, sound nice though if they're the DET 🤷♂️
@@unheimliche9410 The sound this car is making is mostly flutter/surge, the blow off valve has a slight delay so you hear the flutter then the blow off valve.

There is definitely something wrong with the turbo or the tune. Boost comes in soo late.

This is one of the things that's kept me from doing a lap. I wouldn't have been able to save it like Misha did for sure, especially since I've got a car with no driver aids at all. I would be quite angry with myself as well if I'd be the one losing the oil, which is a real possibility with my '82 924, lol. Maybe I'll overcome my fears one day xD

@@swecreations I have to disappoint you, electric cars definitely have oil and coolant. If a gasket is not good, that oil will leak. Chances are much lower though, I think.
@@Olivierd.s They have coolant yes, at much lower temperatures and pressure, but practically no oil. Yes there is oil in gaskets of course, but it's so very little that it in practice really can't "leak" onto tarmac. My 10-year-old electric car doesn't need a single oil-change in its estimated operational lifetime of 20-25 years.

Well done informing the official to close the track, more importantly he listened and reacted immediately, knowning that a word from you Misha, as a respected Guys around the Ring, he must react without question. That will be an expensive clean up considering the distance the split covered. Would be interesting to know how much that would have costed the gentleman. Awesome car, love the Skyline line up

It’s crazy that it took Misha to get them to close the track when they have Marshall’s all round the track. Looking after everyone’s best interest! And the sound of the GTT is insane 😍😍 Misha can you get a scooby on the channel please!
It might not have been very obvious off track. Most of the spill looked pretty faint, and may have only really been notiable while moving along it so you can see the obvious colour difference. The marshalls on the exit had already spotted the leak out the back of the porsche though before Misha shouted (you can see him pointing). They were on the case.
Misha has a other perspective of the track while driving ofcourse and more feedback from the track. I totally understand a marshall cant really see this unless he sees all cars spinning on straights.
@@AdrianBawn Wasn't from the Porsche, it was the Caterham in front of it (hence the leak going past the front of the Cayman and the Marshal flagging down that car).

Very spongy powerplant. It probably needs a good refresh on the tune, maybe inspection of current/installation of smaller turbo.
Might even have an intercooler blockage. Looks like it wakens up nicely, just doesnt want to get going.
Hopefully it went safe at the end of the track at least for you two guys! So how about these tires are they made for track or they abandon a little bit faster? Actually running them under my TTS but found they become slippery a little bit early.. but under 40°C ground lol

I recently bought a R34 Skyline, my all time dream car. It's a HR34 (RB20DE and automatic) and my dream is to RB25DET swap it, manual convert it and give the car a Z Tune body, then I'd LOVE to bring it to the Nurburgring too!

I had no idea that Nissan made a RWD version of the GT. Learning something new everyday! Love the waste gate and exhaust note noises.
They also made an Auto version.non turbo's.Basic.and some others inc four door.
I have the sport contact 7 on after coming from the pilot sport 4s. Honestly, I prefer it.
Why ? Are there differences between SportContact 6 and SportContact 7 ?.

That's as professional as you are going to get to not only save your car from a collision at high speed from oil spilled on the road but also to notify the authorities to close the track.
The Track Open/Closed beep it's the best and worst sound out there
Before allowing on track they should do full inspection on ramps for any leaking.
Nurburgring track company should do pre inspection all cars before allowing on track.

i always thought RB25 are the responsive ones compared to the RB26, at least the RB25 Neo. Maybe this is not a Neo engine, nonetheless i think a retune to get power at 4k oder a slightly smaller exhaust wheel for the turbo is in order for this :D
I saw any article the other day on R34 GTRs starting at 500K and exceptional limited run versions going for 1m, those bloody Aussies do amazing 1000hp GTRs, would love to see one of those on the Ring
Average R34 GTR V-Spec which is the most common goes for over $140k. M-Pec’s go for over $200k, Z-Tuned and 400R’s are the only Skylines that reach over $700k easily. Everything else is below the $300k range
I absolutely love the GTR 32 , GTR33 and GTR34. I don't know about the GT-T though

I am curious if you have any follow up on what happened to the guy who dropped the fluids? Thats one hell of an achievement. Thats going to easily one of the rings top 10 most expensive accidents (during TF at least), based on €10 per M cleanup costs, even if no other cars were involved.

The GTT and GTS are all amazing. Nissan should have continued with that tradition with the r35 generation.
Defiantely not 400 hp, i would say stock turbo with a map on it maybe 320ish also the powerband is a bit weird. Forgot to enable vct on the ecu?
I would get a good turbo mine is doing 418hp and 490nm with full boost starting around 2.500 rpm

The oil spill reminds me of my first visit back in 2007, made a biker come off and killed him iirc 😕 so many accidents that weekend

Defo not running the power it supposedly has. The boost comes on song very late. Before that boost it doesn’t seem any faster then my Skoda Octavia vrs. I’d be interested to see what it’s putting out on a dyno. And definitely get that turbo spooling faster.
What are your honest thoughts on the R34 GTT Misha?
I'm honestly surprised that they dont give radios as you get on the track. Nothing that you can talk to but receive instructions from. They have cameras all along the track but as soon as they see something or someone they can notify everyone on the track or flag individual cars.
