Also I find it refreshing to hear you say that you’re uncomfortable with getting attention from your leather pants, especially because the look at me concept is so prevalent. That’s why I love your videos your humility is much appreciated.
I’ve recently discovered the big reason why I don’t wear some pieces. I was missing the basics I need to style the piece, like white/black turtlenecks or dressier white/black long sleeves. Now that I have these basics, I’m finding the pieces easier to style.
I rarely comment anything, but this time I will make an exception. This was really very informative, actually all 3 parts of this theme, but I found this last clip particularly appealing. I share similar challenges and frequently look longingly at some clothes that I truly fancy, I just rarely choose them. So now I feel inspired to try out some of your ideas - thank you for that!
Love that you included an Oxford shirt. I was looking in my wardrobe earlier and thinking about how sad it was that I haven’t worn them in a couple of months. Thanks for the inspiration
@@allieblank5992 size small! But that was before they introduced the oversized one (which is the one I've linked to in the description), I don't think they make this exact one anymore - it was a unisex style before! But I would probably also take a size small or even an XS in the oversized one, depending on how loose you want it to fit 🙂
Love love the leather pants with a roll neck and a button down on you. It looks great and very flattering. I am getting rid of my trench coats, skirts and dresses. It's like my fantasy self and I always feels off. Thank you!
Your videos are always interesting to me, but I find this one particularly creative and inspiring. It is fun to recognize the clothes you are showcasing (as belonging to your regular capsule wardrobe) while you style them in so many different ways. Thank you so much! Your comment on Pinterest is so on point :-)
I think people look at you when you wear the leather pants because you just look amazing in them!! 🤗❤ But I understand, it can feel weird to be looked at so much. 😂
Thanks for the inspiration. In fact, I just wore my white Oxford button up shirt underneath a semi-chunky grey sweater with my favorite washed grey denim. I loved the look. I topped it off with white sneakers. I would love to see how you style the leopard blouse. I have one and I just don't choose to wear it. I love the fabric and fit, but I am struggling with some ways to style it. Thanks.
Love the suggestion to pair the leather plants with more casual tops. I love my pleather pants - this could elevate them to a “wear all the time” thing!
Thanks, that was really helpful, and I can really relate to the “ not wearing shirts in winter”. It also helped me identify why I don’t wear some items that did appeal to me, usually the shape or colour is hard to style. I’m glad you addressed the issue of the outfit itself needing to be good, as I can’t use outer layers as a styling tool in Australia, I would end up carrying jackets around most of the time! I really only accessorise with jewellery as i realised I find scarves annoying, except on very cold days.
I had the same issue with leather pants and exchanged them fior black coated jeans and now I am happy. They are slightly less „loud“. But don‘t worry, you look great in yours. The video was very helpful and entertaining at the same time!
I love your style! It’s exactly what I like to wear and your videos made it a lot easier to declutter my wardrobe because I’m aware of my style identity now 🥳 thank you for sharing your styling tips ❤
Love this,I actually did this exercise with some of my" love but how"clothing yesterday evening and was pleasantly surprised by what I came up with. Thanks for always inspiring me.
Very good styling ideas here, thank you ❤ particularly loved the shirt under sweaters, beige trousers, like an alternative to jeans and all leather pants looks 😍
Where I live we rarely get snow, and I live in a small rural town so I don’t have to worry about road salt. I don’t have small children or pets. This lets me easily wear white jeans year round. I understand though that personal circumstances will dictate whether white pants are practical for some people.
Loved these looks so inspiring! One of your best videos yet - will definitely be referring back to this video when I am stuck on what to wear and want to buy something new. Would you be able to do a video on shoes or reference one if you have done already? I get a cute outfit together and then I am stuck on the shoe 😅 thanks!
I'm so happy you enjoyed the video! Oooh love the idea of making a similar video evolving around shoes - would be fun to try! I will note it down for sure! thanks
Hi Signe, I have a black and a beige wide leg pant on my “love but how” rail. So I’m taking away great inspiration for styling them. 🙏 Also, I’d like to say that I’m really enjoying this series. 🙌
I think you have great advice and I like your approach to styling your clothes in different ways. I like the combination of the mauve shirt with the grey sweater. I cannot point what it is specifically but something with many of the outfits you put together seems a bit off. You have the classic clothing pieces, they fit you well, they are the right colours for you. But when I see the complete outfits, they just lack ”that something”.
My heart sank when you said white jeans in the winter time were not practical... 😢😢 I know this might be more of a lifestyle issue for you since you have a small child. I wear white jeans regularly in the winter time. On the weekend I work in a warehouse and even wear white sweatpants. I get a lot of looks and questions but I don't sacrifice my style for my jobs. I look good and feel great. I do weekly outfit planning so that helps me be more creative and utilize more of my clothes. I am also fortunate enough to have two walk-in closets so I do not have to store out of season clothing. This also helps me get longevity.
Thank you so much! I love the way high (straight leg) and the 90s cheeky (straight but a little more slim) from Everlane! By far my fave fits the past couple years 🙂
That’s why I love lighter-colored leather trousers, like beige or brown.they have a softer look than edgy black ones. I prefer the softer look of suede instead of smooth leather, too, in most items, with my predominantly “Soft” coloring and more feminine style. I don’t venture into either the edgy or overtly-sexy territories, like showing cleavage. My body always got more male attention than I wanted, I didn’t want to encourage it, ever. Now that I’m mature, it’s not really a problem; after menopause women just don’t exist to most men. But still, I prefer modesty: I’ll show shape, but not skin. Except for my still-hot legs (thanks, Grandma, for your leg genes).
I have never really understood having your coat as part of your outfit. You only wear it when in transport. And my coat is practical for biking and weather not does it fit my outfit.
Also I find it refreshing to hear you say that you’re uncomfortable with getting attention from your leather pants, especially because the look at me concept is so prevalent. That’s why I love your videos your humility is much appreciated.
Thank you

I love the leather pants. Much more versatile than I thought it would be.
Yes, I thought so too! Thanks for watching!
White jeans are a winter staple for me.
I do love the look of them in winter too! Very much actually, but have just found them a bit impractical for my lifestyle with a dog and a toddler :-)
I totally get it-my dogs are tough on them.
Love the burgundy bag - especially the wide strap. ❤
It's so beautiful!!

That's amazing to hear!!! And thanks for commenting, it means a lot

My pleasure! Thanks for watching!
I love the plumish shirt colored shirt under the sweaters. Colored button ups has become a new fascination for me.
Adds an unexpected touch I think! Thanks for watching
Wear wear wear those leather pants! You look awesome in them.
Thank you!!
The purple Oxford looks great on you!
Right?! I looove that color! So unexpected I’ve never seen one that color
Curious as to what size you ordered?
Ditto

@@user00616 Thank you!! I love that dusty violet
Still blown away in love that you made that boiler suit 😻
haha I am too!!! Can't wait for spring so I can wear it again!
Thanks for finally talking about how accessories are NOT everything because most of the time we're just not wearing them around! 🎉🙏❤️

evening outfit with leather pants is just super good! so different to what you always wear in your videos x
This video is so inspiring--especially at this time of year when our wardrobes can benefit from a "pick me up". Thank you for your work!

Exactly! I'm glad you found that useful
I would love to see another video with you styling the rest of the items on your rail!
Watching your videos makes me feel calm and collected
All those pieces are just amazing and fresh on you! More please.

Hi! I just took a few minutes this morning to read your disclaimer, I was very impress❤😊
Love the check overshirt with the leather pants and hat!
I love how your leather pants look on you and how you styled them
As always, your videos inspire me to wear what I have!
I loved this video! It’s so interesting to hear your exact thoughts on the outfits and pieces 😊 would love to see a video on the other ones :)
Great advice. Going to spend some time doing this tonight!
Great video! I loved the button down and turtle neck outfits, both wardrobe staples of mine.

Very inspiring 😊 thank you

I enjoy wearing a turtle neck or mock neck shirt under a button up shirt … it looks nice 😊

I love your leather pants! You look amazing on them and loved the looks you created with them! What jeans cut do you usually wear?
Thank you so much! I love the way high (straight leg) and the 90s cheeky (straight but a little more slim) from Everlane! By far my fave fits the past couple years 🙂
Loving this series! Where is your rust colored crewneck from? It's exactly what I'm looking for!
So glad you've been enjoying it! It's a couple years old from Armed Angels, sadly no longer available though!

Hey ! Where are the sandals from clip 0:55 ? I've been looking for a pair like that 😌 thank you
They are old from a Danish brand called Billi Bi 🙂

I don’t care for the slouchy cardigan. I think your other looks are much better. Are those pants Agolde? The leather pants.
They are Agolde yes, the recycled leather ones. I just bought mine secondhand on Vestiaire Collective 🙂
