One hell of a job to install them in a small bathroom by myself. One door is probably 130 lbs and the other 110. Directions kind of suck, but between the video and a couple glances at them...I got ur done! Beautiful doors and great craftsmanship. Quality product. Thank you.
This is a good quality door, the rollers are really smooth and good quality. Two comments, keep in mind the support bar is about 4” lower then the door, for taller people (6’ tall) this could be an issue. Second, for the installation instructions, PLEASE make the text larger than 8pt type and provide more photos. The thing of having the bottom bracket mid way under the glass seemed wrong, as described in the text. Fortunately there is this video. 👍

This is a bathtub door installation case. I cannot access the stud and need to install on the tile over the hallow drywall. The included anchors don't look strong enough and I'm trying to use a toggle bolts instead. Would it work? The video says that the rail should be screwed on the studs.

@@gitarman666 No useful response fr VIGO. I asked local plumber and he don't recommend to install at the dry wall only. It must be installed on the studs. Since this door is too heavy for the walls, the walls will gradually collapse. The only way to install is adding more studs on both sides after opening the walls
I believe my installers installed the middle piece that would sit on the tub's edge. The piece that holds the two doors. If this is true would this make water come out? Because it is. Hey guys the one thing confusing me is they give two sizes of drill bits for the rail to wall instation. one is with plastic anchors and the other is for attaching to studs. Also 3/16 drill bit seems really small for the anchors to secure clips. I dont think the anchors will even go in a 3/16 hole much less then run a screw in it.

The instructions say to cut the support rail 3/4 inch shorter than the wall-wall distance, but if you do this it becomes impossible, once you have put one end of the rail into (let's say) the left bracket) to fit the other end into the right bracket. If the screws for the bracket were external, ie on a flange, you could fit the bracket to the rail end, slide the whole assembly into place, then screw. But it is a single central screw inside the bracket, so the brackets both have to be fitted first. According to basic geometry, you would need to cut off 1.5" (the depth of the bracket) from the rail to get the second end of it into place. Then the rail can be re-centred, but it will never run all the way to the inner end of the bracket. This will leave a structural weakness, which I don't want. How do you fix this?
