      Thanks for your question, have you checked rockauto.com? In my search it comes up that they have them.

      @@HomeownerDIY i have, everything that ive seen is for a 2dr coupe or hatch not the 4 door sedan. I would imagine they would be different if the doors and windows on a coupe are bigger then the sedan

      @@EnvyDelusions I have a hatchback, but I think parts are the same from 96-2000 even with a sedan. It gets expensive to need specific parts for specific cars.

    Was it difficult to put the window into its grooves? That’s the problem I ran into

    • @HomeownerDIY
      @HomeownerDIY  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I normally find getting the door panel over the top rail the harest part of the job. In this case, the rubber on the door handle side curled away from the groove. I used the window and some persistance to get it back into its track. Maybe that is what the problem was on your job as well.

    Anyway to lubricate the replacement regulator before you install it ?

    • @HomeownerDIY
      @HomeownerDIY  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your question, you can give it some bearing grease. Really it has so much grease that l dont think more grease is necessary. If l were to grease it, l would grease the rollers and pivot points. Hope that helps.

    Hi brother, Great video 😊. Mike in London England here. I neeed your advice pleeeeease bro...
    So unknowingly I've only gone and ordered a Dorman 741-736 window regulator which is for a USDM Civic's (Passenger side) so have just discovered that the regulators motor electrical plug is a 2 pin whereas on my UKDM Civic (Driver side) it's a 4 pin plug.
    So basically regulator and motor would fit as it's for the right side door, just theres 2 wires and a 2 pin plug instead of 4 wires and a 4 pin plug to connect to my UKDM wiring.
    Any ideas to work round this bro? Damn totally my fault I should've known plugs would be different being that RHD - UKDM and LHD- USDM,
    Totally my fault 🤦🏼🤣

      Thanks for your question, are you able to put jumper wires between the plug and the harness?

      @@HomeownerDIY I hope it's possible to use the (USDM Passenger side regulator) as my (UKDM driver side regulator), literally only obstacle is the plug connection bro oh man I hope it's possible to work round it 🤞. As it came all the way from US to me here in England 🤞🤞🤞

    Why is the cover there? What's the purpose? Or should u just rip it off?

    • @HomeownerDIY
      @HomeownerDIY  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your question, l think its suppose to be a vapour barrier, as if it wasnt there, moisture could make the inner panel damp. As a rule of thumb, if its there, put it back in as it was there for a reason. Hope that helps.

      @@tym5583 I wouldnt say the exactly same, but very similar. Since it's a 96, it might not hurt to give it some silicone lubricant.

    Can I replace the bolt that the crank attaches To? I found a used but working regulator but the bolt where the hand crank goes on is broken so I was going to use the one on my current regulator

    • @HomeownerDIY
      @HomeownerDIY  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for your question, can you use another bolt? Short answer is yes. Problem is the housing needs to be welded back together after. Grind the spot welds, change the bolt, respot weld. An automotive shop will be able to help with this for few dollars if you ask nicely. Hope that helps.
