Start your combos... without a combo starter?! HUH? 😲 EDIT: In the 2nd example, because I started specifically with Saronir in hand, there was a better play if I just summoned REDMD, with Seal, instead of Magnamhut. This would've allowed me to search Seyfert with Gae Dearg, and then make Atum with Gae Dearg and Saronir. Atum summons Ringo, and Seyfert gets back Lubellion from GY. Lubellion gets Magnamhut, and continue from there, like the Standard combo. I missed this play during the game and during the explanation. Thanks to @spacecoyote6101 for noticing that.
Quick question. In the TCG, we're entering a Droll format. A format that'll eventually make it to MD. Dragunity is extremely weak to Droll. What's the best way to run Dragunity in a Droll format?
I don't play TCG but, knowing some of the legal cards there, I would recommend playing 3x Crossout Designator + 3x Droll, yourself, for sure. To continue with the non-engine cards, I suggest, at least, considering playing Bagooska, and maybe even Zeus, depending on how flexible the ED is, in the TCG. As for engine cards, I would recommend consider playing: - the Kashtira engine, since Fenrir and Wraitsoth are at 3 in the TCG. the engine would be 3x Fenrir + 3 Wraitsoth + 1x Riseheart + Arsenal Falcon. You Normal summon the Riseheart, with this engine, so you don't lock yourself into Xyz. 1 Fenrir + 2 to 3 discards is full combo. Also, this engine allows you to setup Bagooska, under Droll, by Special summoning Riseheart from hand (Xyz lock) and Normal summoning any Lv.4 monster and just go into Bagooska-pass, if you need to. - more copies of Senatus, Divine Lance and maybe even Whirlwind. Since they access the Deck directly and put up cards directly from the Deck onto the field, these cards can help you play under Droll, especially if you had good discards in your opening hand. Of course, if you play these, consider increasing the number of copies of Phalanx and Guisarme, to at least 2 each, if not 3. Depending on your opening hand, you can even setup a Lv.10 Synchro (even Baronne) + Seal + 1 Branded card (Beast or Regained), under Droll, assuming you had Ravine and you play ASSD, ofc. This is, pretty much, all I can recommend with my limited knowledge of the TCG.
In hindsight, I could've just searched Zephyros, instead of Baby Roc, then summon it by bouncing back Magnamhut, which would've been my 4th summon. Then, go into Battle Phase and summon the Magnamhut then, thus dodging Nibiru all together, and still have lethal. But, I guess I went for the more stylish exit, instead. xD
Its definitely time to swap for the moment. Ghost ogre is another popular staple rn bc it counters scarecrow and seems to also hit a lot of other decks especially ones that use field or continuous spells Maybe try and play ygo omega with unchained. That's gonna be the next pack along with rescue ace support
Nah! If I can't have fun playing Dragunity, I'd rather stop playing for a while than to play another deck. No other deck appeals to me, so far. They're all kinda boring in comparison to Draguntiy. It's ok, though. I'm not competitive, to begin with, so I don't really care that much about swapping decks and climbing the ladder.
@@craftymindgaming it would be good to build your audience even if you’re not competitive you have to admit this list is bare copium anyways. You could probably make some dragon link or something. That doesn’t seem so minus to play. Like 3 tempest. Bystial w situational conditions as mostly run wind. Same w regained but if it works for you! Then go on right ahead.
I'm not particularly good at deck building, tbh. I usually build my lists by " feeling " and test out many versions, with different ratios, until I find the " right one " for me. I know it's not how competitive players build their decks, but I'm not competitive, anyway, so I just stick to my casual ways of doing things. If you want actual numbers, then the numbers that I found most comfortable, for me, in a 45 card list, were: - 33 Monsters - 12 Spells/Traps. The numbers that I found most comfortable, for me, in a 50 card lists, depending if I want to play backrow hate or board-breakers, were: - 38 Monsters & 12 S/T. or - 36 Monsters & 14 S/T. or - 34 Monsters & 16 S/T. If you're talking about the ratios of individual cards, then the only cards I change the ratios of, depending on the lists, are Droll, Tempest and Small World. I use the same ratios for the rest, every time, pretty much.
It's another way of searching Remus (our combo starter): - Gold Sarc banishes Tempest. - Tempest triggers when banished, to add any WIND Dragon, from your deck to your hand, which is usually Remus. If you already have Remus in hand, you can use it to search any other WIND Dragon that you might want to add to extend your combos.
For me, it's working fine, yeah. My list runs 14 WIND monsters that could be used with Tempest, from hand, to search Remus (not counting Remus itself, ofc).
Hey crafty love your videos I’m an dragunity player as well so love getting other players point of view. Question what do you think of using armed dragons as an extender/ draw power for the deck?
Hey! Thank you! Dragunity can be played with a multitude of engines and there are, definitely, variants of it that can play an Armed Dragon engine, ofc. It all depends on what you're trying to accomplish with the deck and what kind of ED monsters you wanna play and what kind of endboard you wanna make. I would assume that if you want to play an Armed Dragon engine, it would be best to focus more on a Lv.7 engine and lean more towards playing the Dragon Rulers supported by a side-Dragunity engine. You could max out on Tempest and Guisarme, for easy access to Lv.10 Synchros, play 1 copy of each of the other DRulers, and you can play rank 7 Xyz monsters like Doomrider, for example. You could use Atum and Seal to turbo out the DRulers and use it to combo with the Armed Dragons. Also, you can play Destrudo, as another Lv.7 monster, which also helps go into Lv.7 Synchros, like Shooting Riser Dragon and pair that with Snow. So there are options... If you can find a good ratio of cards, you might be able to make it as little bricky as possible, maybe, and it might work. However, keep in mind that the Bystial variant will always be the better one, since it offers more options.
@@craftymindgaming thank you for your feedback. yes I do run an armed dragons to turbo out lv 10 synchro and I’ve use pixie dragon with applegate dragon to go into red hot abyss dragon. But nice to get other players feedback thank you and keep up the good work 👍🏽
omg you might need to make this decklist and put it on the channel. trying a gimmicky version of the deck would be perfect for a boring format too@@craftymindgaming
hey man, respectfully, running a deck thats biggest issue is its bricky nature at 50 doesnt make sense. i love dragunity as an archetype but it really really needs to be at 40
Dragunity doesn't follow the traditional deck building rules, because of the different engines it can use. Whether you play 40 cards, or more, depends on the variant you go for. The less engines and non-engines you use, the closer to 40 cards the deck can be, but also, the weaker the deck will be, since you would have less tools to deal with stuff, especially in Master Duel's format. The Bystial variant runs a lot of one-ofs, and a lot of high level monsters. So, usually, we play that variant in a 43+ card lists, between 43 and 50, depending on the non-engine you decide to use. The reason for that is to simply dilute those cards in the deck so we don't draw them that often. So, technically, playing more than 40 is better and makes the deck way less bricky, as long as you have enough starters in your deck.
@@Joy_inc42-44 is the ideal min-maxed for Dragunity when you boil it down to statistics. The deck is actually less consistent at 40, but once you go over 45 the math changes a lot.
@@WithDoodle look im going to trust that youve done that math, and it may just be conformation bias, but the numbers ive been playing at have been very consistent, so for now i dont really plan on changing, i may give the deck profile a chance at some point but for right now no
