    Okay, so here's the deal. I tried Atkins years and years ago to some success. Now I found myself 388 pounds and knew I needed a change. Keto would work for me if not for the bread issue. I had tried many of the keto bread recipes that were supposed to be really good and I guess my expectations were too high. None of them were more than barely acceptable (at least to me). As a last ditch effort I tried the chaffles. OH MY GOODNESS! This is a game changer for me! I had a bacon avacado cheeseburger tonight and could not stop commenting on how good it was. Thank you! thank you! Thank you.! I made ylthe almond version with psyllium husk. I have already ordered chaffles maker! So happy!

    I tried these and they are great, however I added a teaspoon of butter to the batter (melted) and it took them to another level. Put butter in chaffles, game changer.

    MY MY MY what a great bread chaffle. Made them this morning and finally had a scrambled egg 🥚 sandwich 🥪. For some reason I made 4. Those 2 remaining I made a peanut butter sandwich.

    Thank you so much for this amazing recipe. I made it last night following your recipe but I added 1/8 tsp of zanthum gum power instead of the psyllium powder. I used the Daze grill instead of the waffle iron. It turned our great. It makes the perfect hamburger bun when you need one. I toasted them and added lots of butter on top. It was delish!
    Today, I changed it up a bit. I added a pinch of sesame seeds, a pinch of flax meal and a drop of heavy whipping cream to the recipe and used a waffle iron. Wow! It turned out fabulous no hint of egg at all...and it tasted like real bread. I toasted them...(l love and miss toast) and added lots of butter. I use to make the cheese kind..but they are nothing like bread...just fried cheese. This recipe is a gift from the gods. Thank you! Blessings.

    Remember, if you use regular eggs, you can always freeze the yolks to use later ! And if you only use the yolks in a recipe you can freeze the whites too! No waste 😊

    • @kendrikhawk7436
      @kendrikhawk7436 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. My very first thought was that there's no chance of me using processed egg whites. I forgot about freezing the yolks, if I didn't want to use them right away. I don't mind an "eggy taste", tho, so I probably won't separate them, anyway.

      I've read that yolks don't freeze well because the ice crystals damage the proteins. the way to prevent this is to mix them with a tiny bit of sugar, but then it's not Keto.

    Your channel was recommended in my TH-cam feed. I'm new to Chaffles and this was extremely helpful. Your instructions are easy-to-follow and your voice is very clear and easy to listen to. I, too, have 2 Dash Waffle Makers, each one is a different color for experimenting with different ingredients or different instructions. I also place a dabble of food coloring on each one to match the different Waffle Makers so I know later which recipes they are from, ie: Red machine is Almond Flour, Blue (Aqua) is Coconut Flour ... etc. Doing that his helps when making a large batch to freeze for later and only takes a second to do it. YOUR TIP about not closing the lid first thing is SPOT-ON for Overflow Control! REALLY NICE Video. I saved it to "My Favorite Recipes Found On TH-cam" private Playlist for referencing again later. Celebrating 🎉🧇 Chaffles!

    I didn’t have liquid egg whites. Used the whites from 3 extra large eggs. It was too much. I made 6 Chaffles! Also, I added 1 tsp nutritional yeast. It gives that “yeasty” taste. They were great. I put leftovers in a zip lock bag. We’re great the next day. Also, I will up the salt next time to 1/4 tsp. THANK YOU FOR THIS RECIPE! AND YES, THEY TASTE JUST LIKE WHITE BREAD.

I eventually made up for my loss, but that was not very healthy, so now I am on Keto, and am missing bread. So, I’m going to try these recipes. Your nails are gorgeous. Thank you for uploading 💜💜💜

    I like both coconut flour and almond flour for the white bread chaffles, but I really love the almond flour chaffle, a lot. I use 3 TBSP egg whites, 1 TBSP almond flour, 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1 TBSP of avocado mayo, 1 tsp water and 2 drops of stevia. if I want it for a Reuben, then I add a tsp of caraway seeds. I freeze mine and they toast up nicely.
