There’s isn’t one person on your roster I would trade my captain for. Not Adam Fox, not Panarin - no one. You’d have to drastically overpay with a crazy package for anyone to even consider this. Only reason he goes to St. Louis is because his dad played for them and it’s his area. Less than a 1% chance he ends up on rangers. It’s njd or St. Louis if he ever leaves.
Only way this is possible is if Brady tries to force his way out by demanding a trade. I don't see it happening. More realistically we'll end up with Kane and a few other pieces. I'd still like to take a shot at landing Anthony Duclair. I think we could work on the top liken with Mika and CK.
@@icecoldtakes Sure. I think Kane will make himself affordable if he gets term. 2.75 to 3.5 for 3 years would be fine. Not a bad option. Guentzel, as an option is more expensive but obviously the better player. We need to fix the defense so I'd lean towards the cheaper option at forward.
Also, Kane is eligible for performance bonuses since he's over 35, so that would help the cap situation. Although, they'll need as much space as possible for next year
