So i've had this bo2 scratched disk and the game was starting but with a few errors on the actual game now i bought it on series s and then the currupted data from the scratched disk was still on the game being that i bought it digitally so how did this happen and how can i fix it

What I did to fix it was unplug my system and left it alone for 3-6 day and it worked idk how long you should do it for but I left it alone for a while unplugged and everything worked like normal

I play on xbox series x and I just had this issue. I tried quiting the game, unplugged the Xbox and left it off for 5 minutes, etc. So what worked for me is go to system, then console info, then reset console and click "reset and keep my games and apps". This will factory reset your console but you will keep all your games and apps, it will take you like 5 min to do the process. Hope I can save a poor soul out there ❤
question my friend if you do this with the other reset delete games and apps would the saved data for the games still be there if you signed back into your account and reinstalled them and the saved data would come back when you installed them or would it fully delete the game data
Ok so this is how it goes the new consoles are done poorly when it comes to updates and save data. An example is an external drive once used for an original Xbox One now connected and used for a Series S or X. The advice I would suggest you give and gamers use is this. Make a copy any way you can when on your original Xbox One then when you start a game on Microsofts crap box as I call it now, I'm on the Xbox Series S, try to use it. If you can't you and us all can thank Microsoft for being dense and unconcerned. As well we can just play without the next gen crap, console exclusive!, on our old consoles. If we still have them and they still work. My save game is now gone just like you. So any progress I make in a next generation is ripe for corruption. Ugh.
