Such a great video, simple & straight to the point.. I want to thank you for the knowledge you share, however im prefer to use a rubber type hammer to knock the waterpump. That hammer you're using trigger my anxiety to the red line ... 😂
Good info. Mine wasn't so easy coming out but if you have a swan neck tire iron an slide it between the triangle pully mount and the pump housing you can get it rocking from both sides and it pops right out. Also I didn't remove the mount but had enough room for quarter inch drive ratchet. Thanks
Removing the mount give u all the space in the world once you do that... yes the water pump seal does get stuck so you gotta work it until it pop loose
Yea man very good job and your explication is very clear appreciate your special talents show thanks lot , I have a big problem with my Ford Focus year 2010 so engine mal function am check my radiator and also my temperature switch, now will check my water pump so I don’t understand where does that problem come my brother can you help me to have and ideas 💡
My one is leaking at the other end of the engine, back side or the right side when you stand in front of car. It may be just a hose? Thanks awesome video by the way. I wish mine was leaking from where the water pump is positioned then I would know that it is indeed the water pump :)
Did you double gasket it? Did you clean the area b4 installing the new water pump? Is the bolts tight? Those will make it Leake again...unless your block is crack .....can you get it pressure test and see where it's actually leaking from?
Mostlikely it's the water pump. But do this to check..fill up the system threw the coolant bottle. Put the cap back on and run the car until it's hot and thermostat open and fans kick on.. look at the hoses at the coolant bottle see if it leaks if not look for drips on the floor ...seem like it's a slow leak you got but if your seeing residue on the side of the engine it's about 99.9% it's the water pump
@@platnumvi5057 its been a problem for a year now i couldnt find the leak so i thought it was heater core but now i see all rhat coolant… my guess is also that its the waterpump but id hate to cut into it and see that its not leaking yanno
@@MileytheJeepV2 yes if it's a small leak it won't really show unless u pressure test it and force it 2 leak..and if your seeing the residu on the side replace the water pump that the only thing on that side that had coolant beside the coolant bottle and if it was the coolant. Bottle or hose it would of been obvious with that leak....it's very easy to replace the water pump.. you can do it..
@@MileytheJeepV2 those water pumps are very common for their leak ..I'm doing a ford transit right now as we text with the same engine in it..water pump is no good

Yes the oring is what make it stuck.. tap on it side by side with a small hammer and it will work it way out slow6 as you see a crack separation spray some wd 40 or dome sor in-between 2 help loosen it up
@Me7o2x it will budge just keep on tapping it out and pulling on it..they can be very stubborn to come out..if u can get a pry bar or so.ething small e uff 2 get in their and pry on it also thT will help but you got to get it from side to side
No you do not ..I wouldn't empty the whole system..just loose what ever fluid when u remove the water pump....but if you haven't change the fluid in a long time them empty it and put fresh coolant in it
Nice instructions brother. You always make it look so easy.
Best video on this subject

Did you remove the other motor mount or just that side that the pump is on?
Remove the motor mount just the side the pump is on And jack up the engine

How much you charge to do this replacement?
$200
It's cheaper than any shop price
I think my water pump is leaking but idk how i can tell… i cant see the water pump just that side of the motors covered in coolant
