This game was like a magical experience. I was late 13 or early 14 when I first played, from the first time opening POL launcher and hearing this I knew that I was about to get deep into something. There is no words to describe the whole experience of FFXI during ROZ/COP era, especially too when ToAU came out. I had played and beat FFVIII and FFX at this point, I knew XI was online and that my dad wouldn't be willing to use his credit card to pay for a monthly subscription for a game. I played dumb and acted like I didn't know it required a subscription and when we got home I knew he'd pay for it, thanks dad, I've never stopped loving this game. I remember being a little noobie RDM in West Saruta, levelling to 10 when a RDN64/NIN32 Taru dual wielding Wise Wizard Anelace named Sinsyth came over the hill by the outpost and it was my first time seeing any AF armor and I instantly fell in love with the game. He helped me with my AF and LB quests, was in general a very nice person. He had such limited time to play that i ended up surpassing him in levels on Red Mage before he hit 75, and even with such limited time to play he still would go out of his way to help me. I remember my first time finding about Notorious Monsters that drop high valuable items and going to camp Hoo Mjuu the torrent, where I had some mild success initially with a Signa drop, then I met Cavion while camping and we must have killed at least 70 pops together. Sinsyth, Cavion, Handpeephole/Handz, Slaykornvayn/Stoneskin, Gene, Blackxhawk, Bigblueeyes, Valcrist, Callisto, Tweenkie, Dragonlady, Buibird and her husband, Jojothemidget and his wife, and all the other people I've met along the way, thank you and I hope you are doing well.
UGHHH! The nostalgic memoriesss! I would literally wake up at 6am at like 12 years old just to play this game that's how exciting it was!! So magically logging in and people actually needing the skills your class/job required and feeling like you were literally in some real life metaverse experiencing this with people around the world :D

took me like 16 hours to understand how the hell to install and registar all the id 's etc back in 2004ish lol

You musta been a BRD or RDM. No DPS/DD is getting an invite at 6 AM.
Is this nostalgia or trauma I'm feeling now listening to this again after all these years?
IT'S BOTH.
Trauma from the 8 hour patch time from a fresh disc install
@@Noikar i am still experiencing this, but not that game
Lol, I forgot all about the horrors of not being Able to login
@@Noikar hahaha
Lmao i remember this playing for ages during updates, server outages etc. Thanks for this dude.
Thanks for doing this; it was always my favorite PlayOnline song! I've been putting this on while I work.
Me in 2005 hearing this "Ughhhhh I just want to log in why an update now ughhhhhh!!! RAGE!" me in 2024 listing to this: "ahh sweet, sweet, nostalgia~"
The memories of listening to this wonderful music for hours and hours while my dial-up internet downloaded the game files for the first time.
Time remaining: 26 hours...
Omg this showed up on my feed! FFXI was my first introduction to MMORPGs!
The fond memories of servers going down and everyone jumping into PlayOnline chat are real :)
Finally!!! Extended PlayOnline music!!!! 😇😇😇😇
in 2009 I used it 🥺, extreme nostalgia
Gonna be listening to this for my Dawntrail login queue to simulate the trauma. Wish me luck.
Back when I used to no life FF 11
only 19 more hours of ffxi patches to go boys
If Squeenix ever remake FFXI, they absolutely need to put this and the space one for sure or its blasphemy.
everyone complained about how immensely good soundtracks are for final fantasy, even the battle themes
they underestimate the glory of their menus
noatalgia? you are not alone
such profound memories
Omg this is torture!! 😱
At least it’s not the PlayOnline install music… that’s like nails on a chalkboard. 😬
