My dad was so good at RA2. He used to play against multiple random brutal enemies. That was so awesome to me at the time since me and my bro could only take on iraq brutal. My dad retired early in his 40s to start a business and got screwed over by his partners. He got depressed at the time and stayed at home playing video games thats why he got so good at it. We took turns playing on his pentium 1. Ah awesome times.
It's sad to admit it but there shall never be another time when RTS is popular as it was because back then every tom, dick and harry had a shitty PC that could run it. You just can't play games of this making with a gamepad. Everyone's tried & its torture lol

Played RTS since when I am 3, and that is when RA2 is release. Never get tired of this game. Sure many of the RTS are amazing but RA2 and Yuri’s Revenge is forever. And thanks to many amazing mods this game is still holding strong till today.
Of all the RTS soundtracks from the 90s and early 00s I remember two the most: Starcraft's and this one. And there's no contest which one sounds better today. Brings some damn good memories, though :)
SC1 (not BW)'s soundtrack is still great to this day. Starcraft 2's music is just nowhere near as memorable. Red Alert 2 is powerful though, but I wouldn't put one over the other. It's like comparing AC/DC to Brian Eno or something, the comparison doesn't make much sense.

The arsenal and war machine of the Soviet-Union was unmatched in this game, their sheer offensive and defensive capabilities were amazing. Dreadnoughts, Kirovs, Apocalypse tanks, Boris and Tesla-towers reigned supreme over all. I crushed the Allies and later Yuri like the insignificant insects that they were.
I always prefer to play the Soviet as well x3 The only thing i miss there (becauce it's damn friking good) are the prism tanks. Also as awesome Weather controlling is... NOTHING beats a big ol Nuclear bomb for me xD

А по моему слишком пафосный трек. Такое впечатление что в него напихали как можно больше, что он в итоге слишком уж преувеличино звучит. и временами даже режит слух. Но на деле даже игра по большей части лишь пародия на реальную войну. Для просмотра новостей под эпичную музыку из игр я бы выбрал другую игру с конкретными треками. Если интересно - послушайте. Игра называется World in Conflict: Soviet Assault или сокращённо WiC SA. Меньше пафоса и больше эпичности за счёт более вдумчивой музыки. Как будто ты слушая смотришь хроники войны, а не слушаешь пердёж какой то))0

@@Seacat17 В каждой игре своя музыка. И в каждой игре не с проста подобраны собственные саундтреки. Кому то такая музыка больше нравится, кому то нет. Но я написал про то что для просмотра новостей или для просмотра хроники войны думаю что такой трек не очень подошёл бы. Вот и всё

The arsenal and war machine of the Soviet-Union was unmatched in this game, their sheer offensive and defensive capabilities were amazing.
Dreadnoughts, Kirovs, Apocalypse tanks, Boris and Tesla-towers reigned supreme over all. I crushed the Allies and later Yuri like the insignificant insects that they were.
Too bad in MP damn Allies dominate with Grizzly kiting all the time...
They have little chances against a Soviet on small maps though.
