I'm loving that prey tug. I've got to find one with the banners that fly around in the breeze. Great session with the tug toy. Thanks for posting it cuz it'll help even more with my multi-breed terrier.
I was going to hire a trainer to give me inspiration on more fun games. But I've come to realize that she really enjoys tug and ball so simple and I'm accomplishing much more than just play. And I'm going home and make a soft fleece tug for her also
‘You’re the king of the whole place’ - I loved this video so much and it’s perfect to see it demonstrated with a little dog. One of my dogs is a fluffy little companion breed and when he tugs, he can be just as into it as my Mali is and he has an unbelievably strong bite for such a little guy! It always surprises people how much he ADORES tug with a soft fleece braid because he is SO CALM and sedate and APPEARS not to have a scrap of prey drive at any other time! He can hear me open the drawer it’s kept in and he SKIDS to come and see if I’m getting his tug out 😂
How do you do this with a rescue/adopted pal? I have a 95 pound pit that loves tug and sometimes he keeps going its hard to stop even to the point of some teeth on skin. Never intentional and he def stops when I say at that point to stop. But how can I get him to this level of self control?
Show how that goes with a 80lb dog with a bunch of prey drive and resource guarding issues? I mean, I’m pretty sturdy but I wouldn’t try this with my dog. Trainers face is kinda close to the pointy end, too.

Do you know how i can make my foster play?
Zero intrest in tug or balls or chew toys or soft toys.
Use a flirt pole. How old is the dog and does he chase anything?

You wouldn't kneel down with a big dog. We do this with large dogs every day. Check out our social media.
