The Matt jump scare was too much Dan. I thought it was his face for a moment but it looked too human
I still remember when Jay (Who if you dont remember had cancer and played with Dan & Matt via Make-A-Wish) was asked by Dan who would he rather switch lives with him or Matt and he said he wouldnt want to be matt, dan asks why and jay just says "Well just look at his face" 😂😂😂
I was warned about it and it still got me!

Well clearly that's too hot for warp cores
Considering Deuterium (I presume that's the "D") and Helium have melting points that are well below room temp (being gasses) and they probably need to inject liquid Deuterium for the warp core room temp IS high temperatures for warp cores. 293K might be comfy for us but in an almost vacuum warp core, that is like standing in the Australian Outback, in summer, wearing 3 fur coats and a scarf.

@@potatosordfighter666 Warp cores use Dilithium as a stabilizing element in the form of crystals to assist with the reactions, but I don't think they actually get used as fuel. You could be right and it is meant to symbolize Dilithium since that is mentioned in Star Trek Lore, but it just seemed more likely to me to be Deuterium.

2.5 million C is over warp factor 9.999 on the TNG scale, this thing is 160x faster than the absolute fastest regular warp ships in Trek.
Still take you a year to get to the Andromeda Galaxy at that speed.

At voyager's max speed it would still take half a day to get to the nearest star other than our sun.
And adding to what Meritania said, it would still take 2.5 weeks to cross the galaxy even at 2.5mil c.
I assume this is where the other civilisation's warp technologies they've discussed in promo material comes in, where different races have different tech that you can eventually add onto your ship. Might let you go faster.
2.5million c is glacial for a video game about exploring the galaxy. It's like... stellar neighbourhood speed.

This video made me laugh so much. I had a lot of Star Trek quotes in my head whilst watching this like 'Scotty I need more power' and at the end of the video 'She canna take any more, Captain, she's gonna blow'. This demo is amazing and I really hope the full game comes out as I would love to see Daniel and Matt play more so they can boldly go where they have never gone before, cue the Star Trek theme tune! ❤️
You missed the best part! The window in the offices have a control to make a holographic landscape, like a forest or a frozen valley, instead of seeing out of the window! That way you can be in an actual spaceship flying through actual space pretending you are just snowed in at home!
I wandered around this with my wife ages ago when there were a lot less buttons to press. Good to see the entire back of the ship is still dark and empty and theres still nothing stopping you from jumping out. May that never change.
I think that Matt jump scare is the only time I've screamed at a TH-cam jump scare. It just came out of nowhere!
I really want this concept as a full done game with a multiplayer campaign and maybe even an mmo thing. Idk I just wanna live in Star Trek even if it's through a silly game.
This would be so hard to turn into an mmo but so worth it if possible.
@@alansmithee419 exactly. I would see it more like a sea of thieves thing, where you can get a crew and a ship and go, instead of an Eve online where you have to turn it into your profession.

Imagine gathering the 3 dozen or so people required for this to function. Now imagine getting them all to function properly.

@@xero4479 considering the individual functions aren't that complicated and having a team os specialized people that really understands each part would make for a proper playing experience. But I do think that, to hit the mass market, stuff should be simplefied.

Ive never watched star trek but id watch a whole season scripted as normal, but these two are running around the ship giving genuine, unscripted reactions to everything they see and interact with, and the characters just have to deal with them
This video was everything I hoped it would be when I played the demo.
