Great video. Very relaxing and meditative. My grandfather had a wood shop set up in his garage at his retirement home in Mio, Michigan, which is at the northern border of the Huron-Manistee National Park. During one of my summer visits we went to a lumberjack festival. Paul Bunyan is a favorite tall tale of mine. The lumberjacks were sawing and chopping away in competition throughout the event. Riding the spinning logs in the water until the first falls off. They were lumberjacks and okay in my book.

That video is hilarious and engaging Peter. You come up with real things to community with a story behind. I watch regularly other channels too but they only tell how to do things but not doing anything real. Excellent job and an extended version would be great with some voiceover.

If I may.... I may have something rather sincere and raw to say. I like it. Definitely. Besides your use of colour is very, very good. BUT... I've only found your channel yesterday. And I've seen around 30 of your videos. So, I'm in a good position to compare your overall work (from your channel, that is) and I've found a good paralel. Your first material resemble way too much to Casey's. Lately, on the other hand, your personality has overcome the inspiring voice that Casey had on you (which is COMPLETELY understandable) and that's exactly when your videos started to gain traction (and not only because you went from VLOGs to tutorials... the tutorials allows you to show your personality in a more transparent way).
The paralelism is with this kind of videos and Pete Mckinnon's. Again, TOTALLY understandable as well. As a filmmaker and writer myself I face similar situations. (I'm particularly thinking in PMs video about his fathers guitar making process)
So... my opinion? You are very, VERY good. I believe you are better than you are actually prepared to accept at this point (considering your words in the 30k suscribers Q&A that you made in which your wife and Alexander appeared). From my perspective you are finding your voice... trust it all the way and let influencers be only that, influence.
Of course That's just my 2 days not-knowing-you-in-person opinion. Perhaps I'm just talking nonsense in which case I apologize and wish you the bests of lucks.
