i knew him a bit very sweet guy , only club owner that would ever call you back ! seriously always called me back ! i never got to ask him if he loved Rory Gallagher , as it sounds like he sure did . miss you Jeff no one can replace him RIP My friend
Jeff has been largely forgotten by the music world. Not many seem to understand the feat he complete ed to teach himself that method of playing in his lap and to be a total monster on blues guitar, he gave SRV a run for his money. Personally I think he was better, Jeff really had to feel it. Your music will carry on Jeff Healey!
Music is all about one's taste, but please, please, just skip away if you don't like it! Rating thumbs down is a plain insult for this great, great musician and wonderful human being, makes me sad... RIP brother, thank you for your wonderful music and inspiration, hope you are jamming with another legend, SRV in heaven. Thank you very much for sharing 1016vortex. Peace to you all.
i feel like there is an incredible relationship between jeff and albert king where albert learned to play upside down being left handed and Jeff learned on his lap being blind few people can do alberts songs justice and this is an excellent version
This has to be the best ever recording of Jeff. He must have been delighted when he heard it played back. It's a wonderful combination of technical skill, passion and being in the moment. Both his guitar playing and his vocals are stunning. I miss him.
The beauty of his talent notwithstanding his disability speaks to the fact that G-D will make everthing right in the end.... he will play in the heavens with Mozart, Bethoven, Chopin, Hendrix, Vaughan, etc.....
This song is, literally, my favorite blues song - it gives me chills every time I hear Mr. Healey do it. Jeff was an amazing player. He is sorely missed, but will always be on my playlist.
UNBELIEVABLE!!! When he tears into that emotional, climactic, building solo starting around the 4 minute mark, the hairs on my arms stood up and I got chills that lasted the rest of the song! Just phenomenal. RIP Sir Jeff!!!
I cannot believe I had NEVER heard of this guy! But then maybe I can . . . having been busy during those years he performed raising six kids. But OH how happy I am to have found his music - what a talent!!! My goodness I cannot imagine how huge his loss must be felt by his family. I do prefer acoustic but his ability is clear! I just listened to "Georgia Grind" in which he also plays fantastic trumpet - wow just an amazing musician - we are so blessed to have the ability to enjoy him still!!
Truly one of the best musicians I have ever had the pleasure of hearing that will never be matched in my lifetime. This is the guy today's trash talent should take lessons from.
Jeff was a master and a true guitar hero, up there with my favourite Gary Moore. Funny enough Gary was famous for his version of 'As The Years Go Passing By' as well. I've never heard Jeff play this before today believe it or not! It's a fantastic cover, Jeff R.I.P.
I dont get all mushy about people I have never met but there are a lot of days that go by that I MISS Jeff Healey. RIP Jeff Your music got me through a bunch of stuff and I hate knowing your not with us anymore.
This man, oh how this man could make music. SRV had been my favorite, until Jeff. Then all bets were off. I wish we had more time with him, so full of grace and having to deal with so many difficulties. Jeff Healey was one of a kind.
Amazing. Simply amazing. Jeff Healy was one of the few guitarists who could reach down and touch your soul. He had the ability to draw emotion from his guitar that only a handful of great mucisians could. He was able to voice pain and pleasure simultaneously with his soaring solos...his talent was a treasure that will be sorely missed.
He plays NOT a great guitar but it is played as if it were an extension of a body part of his. Gives a whole new definition to the word, musician! God take care of this soul!
Jeff,is just a canadain treasure . So much talent ! That guitar playing is just pure gold one of the best in the whole world . Beautiful person RIP your missed ! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍💖💖💖💎💎💎
Jeff Healey .Sorely missed in my music world. Being a guitar player for most of my life, I cant even compare my abilities to his. But I can identify with the feel. ' The best moments onstage are when you can close your eyes and let it flow out of you. Jeff did it every day. I think he had an advantage rather than a disability. And also the left thumb with a mind of its own. OMG. Miss u Jeff.
Beautiful! It is said , you feel the Blues. Can you imagine how much energy it takes to perform this version, down to perfection? We can watch all the other great guitarist, doing this very song. I hate to compare and then 'share'. This is, hands down the very best! As the years go passing by' RIP Jeff
WOW Brings back memories of 1991 in Edmonton Alberta where he Played in concert at the Convention Center on Jasper Ave.I had the privilege to be at the front of the stage about 15 feet away from Jeff, watching in amazement as he played.A concert I will never forget. To bad he is gone, :`( One of my favorite Guitarists.Maybe I will see you again Jeff,in God's new world to come :-D Peace out to one of the Greatest artist of his time. You are missed Jeff :-)
Jeff worked at his craft. I saw him many times at seedy and not so seedy joints on Yonge St in the early 80s. First time was at the Upper Lip. I once just heard him as we were walking down the street and popped in for a few beers at the old Colonial. He would go to Yonge St and play wherever. Saw him about 7-8 times. The last being at Ontario Place forum. RIP Jeff you were the best.
Jeff's voice and guitar licks were unique, as he was unique. We will miss you dear brother, but your music live on in us today. Thank you for all the wonderful years of blues music done in your style. Musicians are a sacred people as they add so much joy and beauty to our sometimes drab lives. God Bless you Jeff.

Check out Confidence Man by Jeff, awesome.
I am not sure 3 million views makes him largely forgotten. Anyone who saw Jeff and got sawed in half will not forget........ever.

Anyone that thinks they can play the guitar, listen to this man first!!!... Legend!!
An incredible talent under normal circumstances, but to play at this standard with the handicap Jeff had was simply magical, sublime. ☘
i feel like there is an incredible relationship between jeff and albert king where albert learned to play upside down being left handed and Jeff learned on his lap being blind few people can do alberts songs justice and this is an excellent version

Someone who never needed "autotune" or any of the other studio tricks available today to make music - real music.
This song is, literally, my favorite blues song - it gives me chills every time I hear Mr. Healey do it. Jeff was an amazing player. He is sorely missed, but will always be on my playlist.

I had heard him back in the 90's but lost track of him, and didn't know he had died. What a class act. You won't be forgotten.
Jeff Healy - among the coolest of guitarists.
Yes, Boz wrote it and brought it out. But Jeff saw it all and so much more. And he couldn't even see. Fly away, free bird, and take your rest

L'ho scoperto oggi....e per uno che strimpella la chitarra a 62 anni come me è una bestemmia non averlo conosciuto prima. Grande.
