In one year, they've had three hugely successful foreign tours to Germany, France, and Kenya, all diplomatically sensitive, and all handled with the experience, polish, and perfectly prepared ease of a King who is a consummate diplomat. He has undertaken 550 engagements in the last year, together with his State, Church, and general diplomatic duties, such as the South Korean visit. He also continues to oversee his charities, and manage the Duchy of Lancaster. No one works harder than him, puts in longer days than him, but he does it all with an easy grace that never complains and never boasts. If William is half the man his father is, then the UK will be lucky.

I absolutely loved the Princess of Wales' red outfit. Classy, refined, perfection. But I was SO excited to see the Strathmore Tiara finally out of the royal vault! The Princess looked beautiful in the white gown, but the magpie in me zeroed in on the tiara right away!! Let's hope that lesser-seen tiaras start making an appearance on Catherine's head soon.
I literally did a little scream seeing the Strathmore. I still wish the Sapphire had been allotted to Catherine, though (Queen Camilla has already worn it - nothing against her)
I, too, loved seeing the Strathmore Rose. It was the tiara I chose to wear to the coronation. I found a lovely one on Etsy and I keep it out for all to see. I stayed up all night (in the USA) and watched the coronation ceremony while wearing the tiara the entire time. It is my keepsake and I hope that my nieces will enjoy it once I am gone.

As a Korean American, I was deeply touched by the warm welcome the British extended to the Korean delegation! When King Charles recited a passage from the poem of the Korean poet Yoon Dong Ju, it nearly brought tears to my eyes. Thank you to the palace and our British friends for everything!

Wow! That’s it! No more takers, the beautiful Catherine has won. Not the day or the week, but the entire year! That red outfit is a winner for the ages.
Another Canadian here. And a hockey fan. Actually they were on live tv yesterday evening at the live hockey game in Vancouver, BC. There was lots of live coverage of this. Harry dropped the puck to start the game. He got a very mixed response from the crowd. You can find the footage if you search NHL hockey Vancouver Canucks vs San Jose Sharks.
MM played to the large tv screens throughout the game and preformed every chance she could get. I am a big hockey fan and was surprised (disappointed) to see them there at the beginning of the game. It was all a big PR stunt to promote the Invictus Games as the Rogers arena where the hockey game was being held is a venue during the Invictus Games here in 2025. Sadly.
Thanks for sharing they got a mixed response. If you were to believe the PR clips, all was five star royal treatment. The intro was gag-worthy enough. For crying out loud, pull the titles or they'll be imitating a mirror court forever, as long as they'll find people who will give them a forum. Invictus has had plenty of examples of how they are tarnishing the good works. Canadians, get ready to open the tax/pockets for security...again.

Canada hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver/Whistler. It really has become the Markles Games - no longer the Invictus Games. In my opinion.

This year she was told there could only be secular songs. 😢 When we were there listening, townsfolk were saying, where are the carols? One gentleman said, "They're trying to take Christ out of Christmas!" Most people within earshot agreed. 🇨🇦. Edit: I should have made it clear that'll the town we live in Amherstburg, Ontario, hires my daughter, who has a master's in vocal performance to organize a choir for the town every year. They are paid. This year she was told by the town that they could only sing secular songs. She is planning on singing traditional Christmas carols when they go out for themselves. She's a big one for hymns. She has a lovely CD that she put out to raise money for her niece, my granddaughter, who was born with generic anomalies.

In the beginning I was thinking it’s best to pass the throne to William but KC and the queen consort radiated so much joy and kindness, they become the grand parents of the nation. It’s such a comfort to have them looking after the country, William and Catherine, shielding then from Harry and his wife. It will be so sad for William when he is the king and his brother trying his best to ruin him.

Love England rolled out the red carpet for them. Looked as if they all enjoyed the festivities. Thought the Korean Royals and Duke if G did a lovely job remembering Korean War dead with wreath laying.

She wore the Strathmore Rose Tiara tonight! I've always loved that one, but we haven't seen it out in decades! So thrilled. (I'm a little too 'tiara' obsessed, but I make no excuses for it)

I think if I ever get the chance to visit England I’ll pack a suitcase full of suitcases and just go to all the charity shops. Your charity shops have such beautiful things, and to find historical treasures like the coronation book would be so exciting!
Great idea
It’s cheaper to mail the items to yourself. This was a tip from my aunt who travelled extensively while my uncle was in the army. She says it proved cheaper than the extra baggage fees a lot of airlines charge. I tried to mail London home piece by piece. 😊
