Hi River, I just came from a video of Korean Englishman before seeing this. They were also invited to join the banquet and were seated beside the Blankpink ladies. A lot of interesting stories during that night.
What impressed me the most and not many people realise this, is that KCIII is a polymath! He would remember personal details about the people he met from a long time ago. Morever, he is witty, kind, and warm to all the people he meets. In one anecdote KCIII asked them, “Have your subscriber numbers gone up?” and “Are you here to influence people?” cheekily. Oh how we, the fruities, would love to see you grace the Buckingham Palace red carpet one day and rub elbows with the Royalties.
The UK is blessed to have a good King. May long he reign and live!

I am a 74 yr old woman. I tend to be rather conservative because of my age. Having said that I gave a little gasp when I saw the Princess of Wales exit the vehicle.She doesn't play games. She takes her work very seriously so we thank God that bit of wind swept her dress up just enough for us to see how hard she works out showing her gorgeous legs. She's so stunning and brings such pride to the UK as your future queen. In no way am I being disrespectful to the current queen. She looked beautiful as well. She dresses so well for her age and that's not always easy. We old women don't expect to keep up with the younger ones. We had our day but to look as wonderful as Queen Camilla does earns all the compliments she's been getting.I love your royal family...your hard working senior royals and their children. God save the monarchy. God save the king.

Catherine's outfit was stunning. It was a brief moment of what one could loosely call a conservative wardrobe malfunction. The cloak was designed to cover her more form-fitting dress, but it parted at that very moment she stepped out of the vehicle. It served its purpose in that it could have possibly been more shocking. She looked fabulous and pulled it off gracefully.

The four young ladies from the K Pop band were so gracious, dignified and conducted themselves with decorum. So many fairy tale frocks, gemmies and jewels on display, all worn with taste and beautiful in their own right. The Royal Family all working together and moving on while keeping with tradition and ceremony for this state visit.

Strathmore Rose is right. It had belonged to the Queen Mother; gorgeous piece of jewelry and history.
I loved that tiara too! The flowers make it so distinctive and special and Catherine knew how to wear it. Her choice of dress just made it stand out.

I fell across Steven Bartletts Diary of a CEO and am so impressed with him. He is so respectful of all the people he talks to on his podcast - I like it is more of a conversation - not an interview and he is intelligent, has a great sense of humor and so much more - he deserves all the accolades he gets and the RF are lucky to have him working with them. They can achieve such a lot together.

I thought he was very respectful, even if a little surprised by Prince William's knowledge. As for Catherine, she did not intend to show so much leg. her dress wasn't that short either. She was embarassed, but carried on with dignity. However, for anyone who was looking, she has great shapely legs thanks to her passion for sports.

Lovely to see such a variety of rarely seen tiaras with different coloured stones at this banquet. Especially pleased to see the Strathmore tiara being worn after so many years. I always thought it was so pretty when I first saw it being worn in the photograph of the Queen Mother as a young woman. At the time I thought it was such a shame that no-one had ever worn it since those days. Queen Camilla looked amazing in the rich red dress and matching rubies too.

I watched that whole episode of Behind the Diary and thoroughly enjoyed it. William shone bright as a caring, focused, hard-working future king and I was also impressed with Steven Bartlett. I think we will be seeing much more collaborating from these two in the years to come. Great energy both of them!
There could be a state dinner each week and I'd never tire of the splendor, the glittering tiaras and jewels. The event and its deep stately tradition creates an aire of "best behavior" by all. There's no doubt Catherine always stuns as she did all day BUT THE AWARD FOR SPLENDOR GOES TO QUEEN CAMILLA. She loves the jewels, the more the better. The younger women exercise conservative use....oh how I wish they would just drip with gems.
Younger women have youth on their side. It takes the sophistication of a mature lady to carry off a glittering pareure (sp?) without looking cheap or overdone.

Yes, I think you're spot on. The Danish ruby parure did swallow Crown Princess Mary just a tiny bit. I think the freshness of youthful beauty does contrasts with an older jewel setting. Aren't jewels just breath-taking!!!
I totally agree but the royals and their brilliant support staff would, l am sure, throw up their hands. What brilliance was behind this event - from the K Pop girls, the use of the Korean language in King Charles' speech, the formal greeting and carriage rides to the palace. This country is an up and coming nation in the world and that bond will be very important in the future. Their president looked very pleased with their visit. Just so very nice to enjoy the spirit of friendship and respect allowing us all a few moments of beauty and warmth during some very stressful times in parts of the globe.

Hello, River. In fairness to HRH Prince William, his service in the RAF as a search and rescue helicopter pilot, did involve him at great risk. SAR pilots are the very best and he will have been in situations of greater personal risk in those duties, than Harry ever was in his bunker.

The ruby and the strathmore are two of my favorite tiaras. So happy to see them. Always thought that the delicate roses would look superb on Catherine and so they do This looks easier to wear and not likely to give our princess a headache

Lisa is from Thailand, a country that is also a Kingdom with almost a thousand years of Royal history. Both countries' monarchs visited one another several times with pompous ceremonies in the past, especially the late Queen Elizabeth and King Rama IX were quite close.

I agree with you, River. All the ladies in their formal black-tie wear were so beautiful. Queen Camilla looked fabulous in the red gown with the most gorgeous tiara; it went together beautifully. I am happy and even giddy to see Princess Catherine wearing a different tiara other than the Lovers Knot! I can't help but think when we see events of this nature and all the folks dressed up to the nines, that the dishes at the Harkle 16 bathrooms home need replacement about now.

The preparation for the banquet is mind boggling. I’d love a behind the scenes look at all the food preparation, etc. The tiaras and other jewels were sumptuous, especially Camilla’s. Jonny looked splendid but would like to see him more dressed as he did during Ascot. Yes, I know he’s active duty military but one can wish.
The Queen looked marvelous but, she appeared to be in pain. Princess Catherine, as always, is fabulous. What an amazing figure.
I think people forget aboutthe age of the King and Queen. Most people have some health issues at age. The both work very hard. I their job is a lot harder than the average person
I agree Queen Camilla looked to be in discomfort, the Burmese tiara’s weight alone would be unpleasant for any long State dinner. I understand that Queen Camilla has back issues occasionally & the tiara really would have been difficult for her, however she did her Royal duty with stoicism. I think she feels uncomfortable in those settings, she touched her earrings and hair quite a bit. I always feel sorry for her, dont know how she does so much at her age.
It was reported a while back that Camilla has got some serious back issues, which would explain why she, at times, looks drawn and in pain. I just need to look in the mirror to see the same.
I think she is still very nervous in these settings, she was never going to be in the royal family let alone Queen of the U.K. It makes me love her more, her nerves make her so relatable. ❤

Not sure if it’s because her allowance has gone up massively, or what. They are definitely much more wealthy than before the queen passed. Probably because they became prince and princess of wales.
