Iceland getting a tree before Belgium is really showing which are the relevant countries in this world.
I imagine they’ll make a dlc for Belgium, Austria and Albania about the countries that were invaded super fast
I already thought this when they gave the Baltics their trees.
Why buy a possible future DLC that *might* include a Belgium focus tree when you could just use a mod for free 😉

I wonder why Iceland doesn’t get put on the selection menu like the Sultanate of Aussa
if you mean why iceland doesn't get invaded, well, the sultunate of aussa was a vassal/member of the Ethiopian Empire, which Italy was at war with.
He means, why doesn’t Iceland have an option on the selection menu, where USA UK France Germany Italy and Soviet Union are with the portraits and then little flags of other countries below, example, the commonwealth nations, Poland, Netherlands, Ethiopia
That +20% non-core manpower modifier is actually so OP. There's basically no reason to puppet anything since even with 0 compliance you're gonna be gaining more manpower than it costs to garrison.

Just imagine being british in this world you dont want any war after the horrors of ww1 then you see the axis do what they could not in ww1 and captured all countries that opposed them in mainland europe then you hear news of an invasion but it is not the germans it is a random island called iceland despite having no ice and a lot of volcanoes
8:55 that's also one of the tricks you can use with Germany to naval invade the UK by going from the port north of amsterdam which puts the arrow exactly in between the english channel and the eastern north sea so you only need supremacy in the north sea

Iceland, a neutral nation that got invaded by Britain and then later turned over to the USA (before Pearl harbour). Which I am pretty sure is the only time in history that a nation was occupied by another neutral nation during a war

Great video. My run was similar, except invading Netherlands was very painful. I should have used the market from the start. Yugoslavia gave me basically all my guns and artillery. I didnt continue after the allies capped, i didnt know about that absurd non core pop advisor. Wow that is broken.

Great Video! For your next video, I'd recommend playing the Hoi4 mod "Battle of Seelow Heights" and attempt to save historical April 12th Germany from total disaster, it's a tough challenge hopefully.
Really need at least one play-trough with that Nordic tree lol.

Colonial Army: +10% non core
Colonial Army2: +10% non core
5th Port. Empire: +5% non core
Prince of terror: +2% non core
Your several puppets at 90% compliance (requires 70%): +20% non core manpower
Standard: +2%non core
Equals: 49% non core manpower
If they want to go more realism heavy I think they should do something about the Indonesian man power, unlike for instance India the Indonesians didn't really fight as much in the Dutch armies, and do something about the naval invasions, ideally that you need superiority for a period not just a tick, with the possibility to react.
East Indies Reworked mod kinda did that.
The manpower situation is heavily gimped with barely 240k manpower available in 1936.

Yeah, the colony is barely industrialized and the populace is generally either apathetic (in case of the rural villagers because lack of care from above) or distrustful (in case of the educated urbanists because of the crackdown after the failed 1926 Rebellion) towards the administration.
In turn, the heavy penalty to Recruitable Population Factor would entice the player to think more about their political decisions and its consequences, especially if it's manpower-related.

First of all: i love your work. Much like yourself i am someone who has attempted to grow a channel on the side, all while working, having family, etc. and I can only imagine the time commitment required to run a channel and provide content of this quality. I honestly can admit i never would have understood the game like i do now if it weren't for your videos amd tutorials when i picked the game up 2 months ago so mad props to you my friend.
But i have a project Im considering starting but im not proficient enough with the game itself to make a quality video.
Im wanting to recreate as accurately as humanly possible USA 's involvement in WW2. Im talking about accurate ship names, generals/admirals, advisors, and army and fleet compositions. Essentially follow the real world timeline and make a video from the perspective of pure history.
I know that would be quite an undertaking but ive already done all the research necessary for it. I just need help from somebody with a far greater understanding of the mechanics of the game.
If you know any content creators who might be interested in something of that nature, or have any suggestions or can point me in the right direction it would truly be helpful!

Invading the Netherlands as Finland before AAT was ridiculously easy. All you had to do was get a good beachhead and defend mainly Rotterdam and Amsterdam until you could strike back and take a port.

Envy your luck here bitter. Tried three times and failed. First time HOL did not budge, lost half the convoy and 2 DD. Second time UK intercepted 2 out of 3 naval invasions to Hull, and the one they let slip, well that's the one hitting Hull where it was guarded. Third time the charm, the naval invasion did not even launch and it is 40, more than half the convoy ship is gone to maintain troops on HOL supplied.

If you invade Britain from the tile north off Amsterdam, you can bypass the channel and eastern north sea. You just need to have supremacy on the north sea.
Same works on Spain, from Leon to Bristol, just 1 region needed.
I mean, if Iceland was a country that historically exist but in HOI4 doesn´t till AAT we can maybe see the same for Egypt being the main countrie of an arab DLC with Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Oman.

1. My destroyers II don't reach all the needed sea-regions for NL invasion. Game version problem? O r do I miss something? I did it now with Sub lvl 2.

I've seen another youtuber play as Iceland and he got an advisor that gave him weekly 500 manpower and 20% manpower on non-core territory. The advisor is a doctor of some sort, but i'm not sure if its modded or base game. Could you confirm this?

2:48 100 weekly manpower means 400 monthly manpower which is a pretty insignificant boost to your monthly population growth of one whole human being but anyway
