Thank you for your guide, it worked perfectly for me. Germany gave me Pomerania, and lithuania went down without a fight. A few notes : if you annexed lithuania, consider pupet it to allow restore the commonwealth focus. And you must change you conscription law while you are at war (not possible while at peace) with yugoslavia, otherwise you will never have enough divisions in time to fight the ussr.
Love your guides Bitt3rSteel. Just to help anyone who may have missed it, you need to switch to Extensive Conscription as soon as you Declare War on Yugoslavia and Romania. It’s not mentioned directly in the video, but after rewatching and pausing on the political screens I worked out when it happened. I just had a run which was going really well until it came to the period between defeating Yugoslavia and being attacked by the Soviet Union because I couldn’t recruit enough troops. Nor could I change the conscription law during peace time (unaligned) to get more manpower. I ended up being able to hold the Soviets back and even make some minor territorial gains: taking Minsk and the border supply depots. I just couldn’t push any further and had issues with resistance in Yugoslavia due to lack of manpower and not being able to fill the garrison. Was going so well until then! I’ll be restarting and making sure I hit that conscription law change in time!
Also - if Iran does get guaranteed by the Allies, an alternative to having to go to war with both the Allies AND the Axis is to complete the Between the Seas concept Focus - which creates the Międzymorze faction. Disband the faction and then create a new faction with Iran. This works because you don’t have to own Hamadan yourself, it simply needs to be owned by a faction that is at war with Italy. When you go to war with the Axis, call Iran in too.

This has been the 2nd hardest one I've attempted, I've had to restart so many times, Bittersteel makes this look easy but it's carefully planned and timed. Follow the guide pretty carefully and it's totally doable. I got discouraged in mid 1940, wide open western borders, unable to push the soviets for fear of suddenly running out of manpower and guns, no tanks to open up breakouts. As BS did, just focused on small encirclements, whittled down their numbers to the point that a rush for moscow became viable. I'm done with them, prepping for germany, expecting things to be much easier at this point.
Oh and this attempt showed me the power of logistics strikes. Holy hell, for a good year I couldn't build anything, I was just repairing stuff since I didn't have enough fighters to cover enough zones.
Btw. one thing that is worth considering doing that run is to create an agency at the start of the game and rush for 2 agents and then do as quickly as possible collaboration gov in Lithuania - this allows you to very quickly proclaim Polish-Lithuania Commonwealth and resolve some pressing issues with manpower
You can complete the focus to core Lithuania if you have them as a subject as well, which is a lot faster than waiting for 50% compliance. So if they accept annexation, just release them as a puppet and you can do the focus immediately.
One tactic I always use as Poland, I always hold off on demanding Slovakia until the Germans got the Sudetenland. The reason is that I then get an event handing over a piece of Slovakia to me including a core, which I don't get from demanding Slovakia myself. Obviously this doesn't apply to many paths but it is something to keep in mind.
Mr.Bittersteel I have to ask what is the jazz-type music you use in the background of your videos? I would definitely chill to this music and I have been wondering forever. Thank you and have a good day.

Great vid but i've replayed this run like 20 times now and still cant manage to take those two supply hubs in romania as fast as you did 😭soviet unions invades before i finish off yugoslavia
My first run I was able to push through Romania but it was taking too long and I took far too many casualties. Second run I got through fine. Just make sure you have a strong concentration of units attacking the supply hubs from multiple directions and then just push through. Make sure your strong army has been swapped to a 9 INF 1 ART template (this isn't shown directly in the guide) Also put your Airforce up on Air Superiority, close air support and logistic strike over Romania. As in the video - if you're in too low supply then pull some troops back to Warsaw. You don't want them to be sat on the border taking attrition for a long period before the offensive starts.
To me I wanted to first slope armor instead of bolded armor because both when you get hit by shell well the bolt starts flying around everywhere damaging crew members and equipment scoped armament is much better has better chances to reflect bullets I mean tank shells and for some reason at an anguish relatively thick at an angle of slope turner
You know, I’ve been struggling to manage the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth as Friedrich Christian, and I figured it was because I just sucked shit at this game. I’m happy to see that my approach to the war with the Soviet Union is very similar to Steel’s. I feel less dumb.
For 4 days straight i tried to achieved what you did, i follow the guide step by step, but no matter what i do i always get crushed. My units cant move into russians no matter what i do. Yup, just tried it, yugoslavia accepted, joined, romania was still guaranteed, tried to get them to join my faction, nope. ended up going to war with soviets weaker than i should have been due to it, and just got crushed. Nice waste of 40 minutes to get to that point, and now if i want to try again, another 20-30 minutes to get back to that point, just to see if the game randomly goes "lol no, fuck you." so fun, so awesome and cool.
there is no way germant will attack you. however i might know the problem, italy wants dalmatia. if you say no, germany will kill you, its easy to missclick the event, it happened to me once otherwise germany will never attack you if you give up danzig/gdansk, they dont have aby reason to do that, especially in 1940, gernant is focused on europe at that point, or already is fighting the soviets plus givong up gdansk turns off the focus and germant dont purely justify on countries, especially not this early
When doing espionage if the agent is from a country with the same ideology as the one you're spying on there is almost no chance of the agent getting captured I did it multiple times and not once was an agent captured

Great vid but i've replayed this run like 20 times now and still cant manage to take those two supply hubs in romania as fast as you did 😭soviet unions invades before i finish off yugoslavia
I got the same problem this tutorial sucks.
@@maxilp9577 it’s possible that they buffed Romania after he made this video
My first run I was able to push through Romania but it was taking too long and I took far too many casualties.
Second run I got through fine.
Just make sure you have a strong concentration of units attacking the supply hubs from multiple directions and then just push through.
Make sure your strong army has been swapped to a 9 INF 1 ART template (this isn't shown directly in the guide)
Also put your Airforce up on Air Superiority, close air support and logistic strike over Romania.
Do a monarchist Macedonian empire run!!
Wow I would really like to see this
Estonia at The end:maybe if I dont move, he wont see me
You know, I’ve been struggling to manage the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth as Friedrich Christian, and I figured it was because I just sucked shit at this game.
I’m happy to see that my approach to the war with the Soviet Union is very similar to Steel’s. I feel less dumb.
How many tank divisions should there be in an army? Tanks are there to attack, right? So how should I use my infantry?
Use them as front filler

Can you do more small countries that are doomed
Hey B1tt3r, where can I send you a disaster save?
Ah lol, just finished this achievement yesterday :p
For 4 days straight i tried to achieved what you did, i follow the guide step by step, but no matter what i do i always get crushed. My units cant move into russians no matter what i do. Even tho i attack while supplied under green air etc they wont break through. And when i was finally begining to hold russia, friking germany attacked me from behind in mid 1940 and destroyed me ....
Im so depressed RN.
Do you have any tips i could use, specially on division template ?
I must be doind something wrong but i cant get what .... Need help so much
Yup, just tried it, yugoslavia accepted, joined, romania was still guaranteed, tried to get them to join my faction, nope. ended up going to war with soviets weaker than i should have been due to it, and just got crushed. Nice waste of 40 minutes to get to that point, and now if i want to try again, another 20-30 minutes to get back to that point, just to see if the game randomly goes "lol no, fuck you." so fun, so awesome and cool.
there is no way germant will attack you. however i might know the problem, italy wants dalmatia. if you say no, germany will kill you, its easy to missclick the event, it happened to me once
otherwise germany will never attack you if you give up danzig/gdansk, they dont have aby reason to do that, especially in 1940, gernant is focused on europe at that point, or already is fighting the soviets
plus givong up gdansk turns off the focus and germant dont purely justify on countries, especially not this early
Here we have the channel of Bitt3r "trust me" steel.
Great Video! I must have missed something. How did you prevent italy from justifying war against you mid ´39?
Amazing video!❤️Witch DLC is that?
