On the pass between 0:18 and 0:10, I recorded the audio and ran it through my Doppler program. At that time it was 147kph or 91mph. pretty impressive for a nitro car.
very true back when i had my nitro rs4 i was at full speed going down the street and hit a small rock tumbled end over end for about 100 feet only damage sustaind was a few cracked fins on my nitro heatsink
yea like he said, just mess with your controls, you might have the idle up too high. i had the same problem when i first started out. too high and the car moves on its own, too low and it wont move.
well nitro may not be "faster", but its more fun than electric. also it's closer to real racing than electric; engine, brakes, gears. At the end of the day "to each their own"...
@david1991rules4life I understand, you are talking about scale speed. This is actual speed (100 mph), the car is a 1/10 scale so a scale speed of 100 mph would be an actual speed of 10 mph, or a brisk jog.... I think you can buy faster rc cars than that at wal mart!
waw pritty quick m8... my nitro car does about 85mph with no mods on it... i can't spell the name but its like schumacer fusion or w.e but it does 0-60mph in under 3secs
There is not like scale speed as opposed to actual speed. All the speeds quoted are actual speeds. In other words if your rc car can do 100mph and your actual car is going 100mph average speeds they will cross a given distance at the same time.
Yeah, that 161mph run was electric brushless though. Anyone who claims their car (nitro or electric) goes THAT fast is obviously talking out of their assholes. There are a lot of mechanics involved in getting a car to go fast without getting fucked up, and applying downforce to keep it from flying isn't as simple as some people think since it creates drag keeping the top speed far from reach.
micentertainer id like to see a video of ur so called 160 mph hour car cause the world record is 161.76 and that was some serious shit in the car so post a vid to prove it

they need to put big wheels on that so you can jump it
halfords or a specialist
cool i have a HPI RS4 RTR 3 EVO +
i think electric has greater torque bec. the body is light weight and its electric..nitro needs to burn 1st the gas before it starts
I wouldn't use under 20%. And if you buy online you'll be paying for hazerdous shipping charges. It's about $30 a gallon on average
I'm pretty sure it was getting past 25k rpm, nothing more you would really want.
The maker just wanted to touch triple digits with this car.
Dear Santa......
at 0:27 it crashes

you know it's illegal for a vehicle without a driver in it to go over 60mph.
no matter what kind of vehicle.
