my favorite part was when he said "its panel line time" and panel lined all over the place

Great job!
My problem with the E-Wing will always be that the bulky look makes it seem more primitive than the X-Wing, but that causes it to clash with the Headhunter, which we already know as the X-Wing's predecessor.
V-Wing supremacy!
Amazing. Your skill and attention to detail are fun to watch. Can't wait to watch what you have in store.
Outstanding. I have been building models and scratch building stuff for over 50 years and I am glad that I can still learn something. When I get the multitude of projects done some where in the future I will definitely try an E- wing for my Star Wars collection. BTW, My Star Wars collection is on display in the Library system I work in. I am pretty sure that I can squeeze an E-wing in there some where. Thanks for the build.
I love this channel so much, it scratches such a specific scratchbuilding sci-fi itch for me, and I wish way more people could see this stuff honestly. Great work on this model, I love the dedication in adapting the multiple versions of the e wing into one cohesive model!
Another stellar video!!!!
I’ve been having a really hard time with the divorce recently and I’ve been playing many of your videos and it’s nice to have your voice explaining simple and constructive tasks while I try reconstruct my life after marriage. It’s like you’re here in the room with me!
Same
This ship looks straight from no mans sky
All the best aircraft have a protruding hazard preventing the pilot from ejecting in an emergency, it's just common sense.
That’s why everyone calls helicopters “god’s favorite form of flight” and “a safe and reliable way to fly, no cap”
@@Sublight_Drive just go between the blades easy
I believe I read/heard somewhere that in the event of an ejection by the helicopter's crew the rotor blades are released from the main shaft. Which always had me thinking that while they no longer posed a threat to the crew, they instead become giant daggers of death to anyone or anything in the immediate area. 😱
I hope bandai releases a kit of the e wing some time this year
That would be rad, though it’ll probably depend on how big a role it has in the show. Bandai’s models are pretty nice but they only really make kits of the stars of the show, as it were.
Very impressive and beautiful ship!
A great build! The mix of scratch built and kitbash just fit very well.
This is a wicked cool build that I have been wanting to do since I first read the Dark Empire series. You did an outstanding job, almoat exactly as I've pictured this craft in my head all these years.
I was amazed at how many of the X-wing parts you were able to use. I really need to pick up a few of those kits now and purchase your templates so that I can attempt an E-Wing of my own.
Outstanding job sir, thanks for sharing! Keep on keeping on!!
It's always a highlight to my day when I see you've put a new video up, man!
Hell yeah brother
my third favourite fighter in SW, Naboo N1 being nr 1 (ofcourse) and the V 19 wing torrent being nr 2!
This is one of the coolest kitbashes I saw. The E-Wing had always been one of my favourite SW fighter, so it's refreshing seeing how it was possible build one. Legends have some of the more beautiful starfighters' designs, and some had became Canon, such as the Tie Defender, and surely more will follow.
Edit:I just saw Ashoka 's first episodes (very good), and guess what Starfighter was seen on Lothal?
A pair of E-wings! So it's possible that Bandai will do a plastic kit of it!
Yeah, new Sublight Drive video! Awesome!
One Word only: MASTERPIECE
Just wow!
I love it. The E-Wing is my Favorite little ship.
Nice work.
Just excellent kit bashing goodness
Genuinely one of the best builds I have seen. Epic work! 👏👏👏
So awesome. Thank you for sharing. My favorite “Legends” ship is the Moldy Crow, never seen it outside of the X-Wing miniatures game. That could be a fun kitbash.
Awesome build!
This is really such a magnificent build. I will say, I do think the pilot and astromech would have benefited slightly from a slightly more detailed paint job, just because of how we are used to pilots and astromechs drawing the eye, but they definitely are more than adequate as it stands. Another fantastic job, thank you so much for sharing.
This is true, but also they are very small and painting them is hard
Make no mistake, they were beautiful and very fitting of the model. I am painfully aware of how brutal it is to paint so small. It was just my only note of criticism looking at the model, I did not mean to suggest I did not love them as they are. Thank you :)@@Sublight_Drive
I really enjoy the voice overs of your recent vids, it’s good to hear more in-depth of your thoughts and process. As someone who collects warhammer models and have got into scratch building my own parts to convert the base kits, this video was especially enjoyable. Informative and inspiring as always, thanks!
An incredible build! It came out so well. I’m amazed you were able to join all those wing angles together by hand without any sort of jig.
Beautiful work. Amazing model. Thanks for sharing.
Bless you front and back for actually mentioning what software you use for templates! I'm only just getting into styrene building, and trying to draw out the templates by hand has been a tremendous hazard in actually building symmetrical pieces.
Beautiful job. Thanks!!!
NEW FULL LENGTH VIDEO! Celebrating with this one man, spreading the word as much as i can.
Really enjoyed the more in-depth look at how you work off reference and the design decisions you make. Thanks for including that this time around! As always, another epic build and a great video. Thanks!
Absolutely fantastic! Love sitting down after a little smoke and just watching people make things! Brilliant build
Excellent work! The model looks just like the images and artwork and the weatherting is really neat looking. Thanks for sharing this.
Great work!!!! Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
Great work. I would love to see ships from each faction of the expanse :)
Excellent build 👏
An excellent project and execution. Thanks for sharing your work. If you're ever looking for new subjects or inspiration in the space ship genre, don't overlook Sins of a Solar Empire. Many of the TEC faction ships have similar boxy styles to your existing body of work, and would likely integrate into your existing template design process.
I’ll have to check it out! I think I picked it up on a free weekend on the Epic platform, but I never bothered to try playing. Might have to, now.
This is so cool! Always cool to see another of your videos :)
I've watched this a couple of times and I realy think this version of the Headhunter turned out very nice, a great mix of kitbash and scratch build with pleasing symmetry.
On a side note I've been recently rewatching an old 80's cartoon called The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers and there is a ship, (I think it's called the Interceptor?) that might pique your interest.
master!!!!!!!!
That was awesome!
Your precision and cleanliness is at another level. I am green with envy over here.
what shade of green ?
To be fair, it is kind of your deal to have so many different shades of grey paint lol
amazing build!
Really enjoying this conversion of a classic ship, big thumbs up!👍
What a great build! Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed your technique of painting the chip marks on the hull and how it came out with the rest of the weathering. It really works. I have to say I look forward to each of your videos when you post them, so please keep up the great work.
I have an idea for your next video. This is a little unlike your prior builds, but I think you'd do a great job at it. Could you try to build a ghost Viking longship? I think it would be really cool.
Or maybe something from my favorite anime, Combat Mecha Xabungle?
Oh you’re a xabungler too? Damn samsies
I can't fault your building techniques, you get results. If you haven't tried pastels (scraped from pastel pencils or powder) I would recommend it. I could have seen it being used in the mechanical greeble areas. Also It looked like you were painting right on the plastic. Was everything primed? Great build! I have intentions of a light freighter at some point. I also like the Corsair class. Biggest problem would be determining a scale.
I dislike the third cannon on the top of the cockpit, but besides that I really like the e-wing's design.
Great build! and it was nice to see the ship in Ashoka. Btw, have you tried the 1:144 ships? Also, could you please share what is the software/app that you use for creating the templates?
What are you using for glue? I normally use Tamiya extra thin for styrene.
I use IPS Weld-On 3 for basically all my styrene bonding needs. Occasionally I’ll break out some regular CA glue for spots where the Weld-On can’t get capillaried far enough
Another fascinating video Sir! What type of brushes do You use for the weld-on? Real hair or synthetic? How do the bristles stand up to the weld-on? is it a one time use, how does that work? I am new to the channel, great content, Thank You for sharing!
They’re synthetic, but the weld-on only dissolves acrylic plastics. Idk what kind of plastic exactly, but they’re not acrylic, so they hold up just fine. I’ve been using the same little brushes for a year or two
What software are you using? - I use Corel draw for 2-D stuff
I do all my image editing with the Affinity suite of applications, specifically Affinity Designer for templates.
might i give some friendly advice? in the sections you talk, turn down the music audio by maybe 20% or more. it makes it so you are easier to understand.
Dude, the sound on this is terrible. When you talk, the music overpowers you and I have to turn on subtitles to understand what you’re saying.
Disney turn Star Wars into 💩.......😊
What is the liquid glue you use.
It’s a plastic cement, not a glue: Weld-On 3 for acrylics.
