This is a true sleeper. (Besides the exhaust coming out the side of the front bumper on both sides.) Stock looking rims, stock looking appearance from the outside from a big full size 3,900lb sedan that run's 8-9 second 0-60mph and 16 second 1/4 mile times when stock. Looks like a normal slow unmarked police Crown Vic.This stock appearing Crown Vic is running high 9's at over 140mph in the 1/4 mile. Amazing! I can't stand those sleeper videos on youtube of people saying an AMG or M series BMW or Chevy SS or Chrysler Srt8 or Audi RS is a sleeper. None those cars are not sleepers in anyway shape or form. They usually have some type of body kit different from the base model with wider tires and you can see large 4 or 6 piston caliper performance instilled brakes that do 0-60 in 3-5 seconds stock . They are fast from the factory and everyone knows that. Therefore those cars are not sleepers.
Here in Australia we have the Ford Falcon which can come with a 4. 0L Inline 6 (Barra) or a V8. In my opinion the 4.0L Barra is the best for sleepers because it's cheap and strong for power and on idle, the car is quiet unlike most V8s. Like the Crown Vic, it's also used here as a Cop car and dominated the Taxi industry.
I find that to be the case too ,The cops thumbs up you and you can almost see the memories come into their heads .Most cops would trade those dodges for my Crown Vic any day .
This might just be the fastest recorded LS turbo swapped Vic. Most of the ones I've seen range in the 10.20-10.90 range, so congrats to this guy on his number.
By far the funniest part of this video is the dude straight chilling in the staging lanes with his steering column in the up position and texting on his phone while sitting in the super thick stock cloth seats as if he were chilling on his couch at home while I'm sure the other drivers are in helmets sitting in their fixed back aluminum seats.
"Glad they didn't make me park it." Yeah, I'm surprised because I don't see a roll cage and if I recall correctly, once you go through the traps over 140 MPH the rules require you to have one as well as a net for the drivers window, helmet for the driver and a fire extinguisher system. (not just a bottle)
Smart move using that Gen IV 5.3 with a cam and twin 61s. That’s a solid budget build that hangs with million dollar hypercars with those 9 sec 1/4 mile times. I love panther fords. Lots of room under hood for interesting budget builds and parts are cheap and plentiful
I have a 2011 Police interceptor crown Vic . I love my car already done a few mods. A k&n filter system. A tune n a performance chip n a custom exhaust with one chamber mufflers. Savin money now for a Ford Racin 3.73 gear n then last cams throttle body n a super charger then I will be done. True sleeper. Crown vic
this is the second car from clarksville tn you covered, this car and Barry's blazer run the 8th at clarksville speedway. Clarksville has some fast cars
Very true they ran some of the ss components radiator etc.. but not the engine itself on the later chevy ppv. Rather funny as they're basing ford trucks (work vehicle) running v6 turbo instead 8's in their trucks. Then they make a police car (work vehicle) again put a 6 in it while a civilian ss version has an 8.
Man it's crazy seeing you're channel grow more and more lol i remeber when you barely had 100 subscribers haahahhaa back in the gt5 playing days lol good stuff man congrats 100k is so close!
Can someone who is knowledgeable with cars please explain to me why (at 1:20) the crown vic lifts up (front and back wheels evenly) while he is revving/brake boosting before launch? I could see the back lifting up and the front sagging, but for the whole vehicle to uniformly lift up, I seriously do not understand what is happening
Wat the car has an anti roll bar (keeps the car from twisting by basically forcing the rear end to separate/extend evenly relative to the body). The geometry of the rear control arms gives the car positive anti squat (car separates from the rear end when torque is applied). I pressed the brake and the gas at the same time, this applied torque to the driveline. The car separates, then I launch. The separation is a good thing, because it's essentially planting the tires to the track. This is all my primitive understanding of how suspension works.
Does this Vic owner have a youtube channel or instagram? would like to ask him what size tires/rims hes runnin on the back there. Would love a similar set up on mine.
I know there is a lot of tension with Ford guys seeing a Chevy power plant propelling a Ford car down the quarter mile. But what one does with their ride is their choice. BUT...there are a lot of FORD powered Chevy cars now. Type it in on TH-cam and many come up. Including Z06 Vette.
THE LAW--Tennessee The patriotic state of shootin stuff! If yo u get a CVPI, you mod it up then drive to the station or county that had that car, show the cops and you are free to drive anywhere...they dig that! Respect...
Cameron Vic nice! I hope to get a set up like that some day on mine after i get all the maintenence done, first upgrades will be exhaust and airbox swap then head swap since mines the 2000.
I just saw a dyno run from this car on Sloppy Mechanics and it made around 880hp at the wheels! Pretty impressive for the combo. He should use some genuine Garrett GTX3582R's with the 1.16 A/R ratio rear housing, and the 0.80 front housing A/R ratio and it'll make 1500hp+ at the crank and 1200 - 1300 at the wheels. It'd run deep into the 8's then. Fuck, my car runs 9's with just one of them... and in a car only marginally lighter too... and on tiny little 235/65/15 DR's #streetcarornocar
Is this your car dude? I love it! In Australia we build tough 4 door cars all the time. That's incredibly cheap for the turbos, I've heard they are made in China- but then again aren't most things these days. Are they any good? I've heard a lot about them on Sloppy Mechanics too. They seem to be highly recommended. I payed like $2500 for my Garrett here in Oz, but we get screwed with everything price wise
That thing did a 9-second quarter mile with less drama than the comments section!
I like when he said "I'm just glad they didn't make me park it." He's running 9s without a cage. NICE!!
ded drunc my thoughts exactly..
Lol.. I'd be more worried about myself in that situation... that's gonna hurt if he messes up and kisses a wall or something
He doesn't need a cage the vics body is a cage in itself
Do you see they way that panther body is handling lol no need for a roll cage
@@NATEINATOR-sj6fs there's some truth to that

a "true sleeper" that shakes the ground while idling and has burnt rubber all over behind the tires. sure thing man, nobody will suspect anything.
And that's not exaust on the front bumper..well kinda but it's blowoff valves for the turbos
@@buttpoopskittlefiddle201 Yeah, and with different wider wheels and tires in the back, true sleeper. (Face palm).
Chris Kurby they are the downpipes for the turbo..or in other words, the exhaust..

When your going 130 passed a cop and he catches you in under 15 seconds from a standstill
Isit Fast? Lol
you're**
Lol, I had to do it. And it might be more like 6 seconds from a stand still.
Isit Fast? Not quite how that works.. but okay

The moment you find out a crown Vic is faster than your Z06....hahahahaha :-D
The moment you find out the crown vic has a Chevy motor...hahahahaha 😂
That moment when factory motorcycles run these numbers all day long.
cool
now this isn't a factory motorcycle is it?
@@Tungsten23 even with a Ford motor it can do it, the 4.6 can handle up to 1000 hp, add twin turbo yes.
"The Law" lol. Fucking badass.
Judge Dredd's car. lol

Thought it was modular powered. Not hating, but of course it's an LS.
ya i was interested till he said it had a 5.3L ls motor
Lmao. why so much hate on ls motors. It was clearly a budget build.
Allende NL no hate on my part I just like seeing different things go fast every now and then.
well if modular engines were cheaper to build I'm sure alot of people would build them
lol yeah both cams for my 2v is between $600-700 dollar from comp cams so xD

Blaze Von.Wolfsburg ...& don't forget the blacked out Camero SS's they drive around here in Florida also.
tat2titan lol and the lifted Ford F150 and unmarked Ford F250s they drive here in Tampa
You’ll never get that sweet sweet sound of that 4.6 though.

The straight pipes comming from the front fender are sweet. Front fender side lakers
I wouldn’t say a cop car haven’t seen a crown since I was 17 and I’m 26 now but that thing is pretty sick
Shame he ran out of timing fluid... :(
I have a question. What the hell is in that vic?! That's insane!
"Nitrous?! FOR FUCK!NG WHAT!!!!!!!!" ©
I was pretty bummed that it doesn’t have the 4.6 but daamnnnn that Vic moves
So what is wrong with eBay turbos? Should always work right if maintained right?
as long as ur oil is flowing to the turbo
What would you think of a crown vic with a tremec 6060 & 6.4 hemi swap? Ls or hemi are the best choices ever.
9.8 second run in a crown vic is ridiculous regardless of what kind of engine it has.
Right!? Hard not to love this thing.
so close to 100k congrats
dude such a solid car soo glad i got a 05 marquise with on 44k miles on it. she rips man even stock
What size rear tires is tht and is tht a 10 inch steelie any mods to make them fit.
Eu amei este Crown vic
I think Nascar engines inside a Ford Police Interceptor and in a 1995 Chevy Caprice is something must be done as alternatives.
Not a cop car with a 5.3 Chevy under the hood😅
sstevocamaro you can stroke the 4.6 2v to a 5.3 so it might not be a Chevy. Most likely is tho

I thought it was late boost from the flux capacitor.
I'd say a little bit higher on those figures with it trapping over 140 in the ¼.. lol Thing is legit though. I dig it 😎

How much can a stock Vic engine make
Wow I see more and more people going the eBay turbo route
What year?
I think he needs a bump box
its a footbrake car
He needs a trans-brake and a stutter box (I think they're called 2-steps now).
Musta costed 6 k on the twin turbo kit installation alone heh, worth it! Not bad for a car ya can buy for 3 grand or less, lol great sleeper indeed.

Ebay turbos lol
EBay doesn't make turbos 😂😂😂
What kind of engine

bad ass vic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can get u to 100k! MRL resides in the city I live in!
wow pull over and assume the position!!
The Crown Vic is too powerful for those other cars.

I know why these crow vic in nfs most wanted was so fast to catch up with the player
