Cicely Tyson’s memoir was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about who she was. I’ll have to check out the other books you mentioned.
Edit: Viola Davis’ book was really good too.

I believe i read that Cupcake is a lawyer now. This book made me very emotional years ago. I still recommend it to everyone

I think the key to enjoying memoirs is picking up one’s about folks you’re interested in. I didn’t used to be a fan myself.

Miles Davis's Autobiography is amazing, and of course, Dion Graham narrates the hell out of that book. They also talk about Richard Pryor in it, and his biography Furious Cool is a wild ride, too.
