That scene in the Louvre is so unbelievably good. The discomfort in Armand's body when he starts to tell his story is so real and visceral, but played so subtly and masterfully. The way Assad uses his hands in the beginning of the scene, his posture, the way he seems to guard his core with his hands and arms, it's all just so good and it communicates so much, so far beyond the words he's speaking. This was such a great interview, what a gracious guest and a welcoming, engaging host!

This was such a great interview. Armand has been my favorite character. You did a great job and his insights into Armand really align a lot with how I view him. Especially the Maitre/Arun, D/s twist that their relationship has taken. I saw his character as welcoming and craving someone to take over responsibilities from him, to lead him and take care of him. And I saw Louis as honing in on this aspect of Armand’s personality and giving him what he wants. But some saw it as Louis being a terrible boyfriend, taking advantage of past trauma and abuse. And I just couldn’t see it that way. Armand, in my eyes, is an uncertain young man pretending to be a confident adult on top of his game. His ways to get what he wants can be manipulative and sneaky, but he’s not outright looking to hurt anyone, unless his back is against the wall or he feels like he might lose Louis. I’m glad he gave some clarification here.

Assad is an incredible actor! I’m a huge book fan and I’m ok with the changes because the actors all totally get the essence of their characters. In the books I love to hate Armand for his manipulative behavior and his excessive neediness. Assad nails both these things perfectly! And he has the haunting beauty Armand is supposed to have. Real talk I think the character Armand knows that he will never be Louie number 1, always trying to prove his love, in constant fear that Armand would never be enough.The fear and jealous would be a major factor.
This series is phenomenal overall. The writing, the casting, locations, music..I dare say it is one of the best TV series I have ever watched, and I hope for more seasons. Assad, while a very sweet person irl, managed to capture the terror that is Armand - there is a very deep, haunting intensity in the quiet, low key way Armand talks and behaves, that manages to scare me, despite the fact that I am familiar with the character from the books, and no vampire can really scare me at this point. Excellent actor!
I’ve loved the books for decades and he has wonderfully brought out little murder goblin to life that now when I go back and read I picture and hear him. I soooo cannot wait for these two final episodes. It’s going to be intense.

This season couldn't have been done without him, what a main character! It's funny that he shows how nervous he was about acting in particular scenes that when we watch each episode, he seems so meticulous and thoughtful, each scene carried out to perfection. Every facial expression, his body language, everything. Top tier acting. I can see the affectionate and personal tenderness side he brings to the character he plays. All I can see is a kind and loving person. I hope to see him in big roles and that this will boost his career because he deserves it! ❤️

Assad was amazing. Your interview style was amazing. And I’m sure it’s to do with what a great story the show is telling but it was so… thoughtful. I appreciated the format as well. You allowed him to convey his thoughts and you listened completely, no interruptions. I appreciate you so much for that. I was fully engaged. iwtv has been in my top 3 tv shows since the pilot but assad's performance in 2x04 and 2x05 rose it to my favorite tv show period and made armand one of my favorite characters of all time. i hope we get lots more of him in the future.

Wonderful chat with Assad. You’re a brilliant host. Really loved the perspectives he shared and how much love he has for Armand. The parts he said “oh shit” to in the script since they would be the most challenging for him… are my favorites. I also like that you asked him about the Maitre/Arun since that’s been a hot discussion in IWTV threads. This was incredible interview just adore Assad even more, even though last scene pissed me off. Real talk I think the character Armand knows that he will never be Louie number 1, always trying to prove his love, in constant fear that Armand would never be enough.The fear and jealous would be a major factor.
This series is phenomenal overall. The writing, the casting, locations, music..I dare say it is one of the best TV series I have ever watched, and I hope for more seasons. Assad, while a very sweet person irl, managed to capture the terror that is Armand - there is a very deep, haunting intensity in the quiet, low key way Armand talks and behaves, that manages to scare me, despite the fact that I am familiar with the character from the books, and no vampire can really scare me at this point. Excellent actor!

Thank you for this interview, for giving real recognition to this person and this great actor who is Assad. He has brought his whole character to life, who is so engaging and passionate. This season couldn't have been done without him, what a main character! It's funny that he shows how nervous he was about acting in particular scenes that when we watch each episode, he seems so meticulous and thoughtful, each scene carried out to perfection. Every facial expression, his body language, everything. Top tier acting.
I can see the affectionate and personal tenderness side he brings to the character he plays. All I can see is a kind and loving person.
I hope to see him in big roles and that this will boost his career because he deserves it! ❤️

This was a refreshing interview. You can tell that you've watched previous interviews and asked some fresh questions. I love how Assad is vulnerable and transparent. Such a fun interview! I do wish more would ask about his future ventures and recent project he just directed. But overall loved 💕

He is so genuine and wonderful to speak with , I always try to ask some questions centered around the person and not just roles they've been connected with.. unfortunately people usually won't speak much about upcoming ventures/ projects but yeah there's a lot more I would have asked if not for time constraints !
I understand time constraints, but I've noticed Jacob and some others receive recognition outside of iwtv, while Assad's projects, such as theater, are only briefly touched upon without in-depth questions. Despite this, I truly enjoyed the interview and your energy was lovely, as you both meshed well. You did Amazing 💕
