Thank you for your watching our videos.
2 questions:
1. Why not use the common wire?
2. Why not mount the metal box cover to the box first, then the thermostat?
Thank you for watching and leaving your feedback!
Most of our systems use only two wire setups. You can definitely use the common wire!
I am sure there are many ways to mount a thermostat. This is just the way I did it for this project!
hi, is this installation is for heater only
yes, if you would like to hook up cooling or a fan, you would need to connect the (Y) & (G) wires to the tstat as well. I was only needing heating when i created this video.
@@furnacetech2581 can u make a video on how to connect heater and air conditionin
Why is that this model has temperature sensor off at 3 to 4 degrees and this is a lot since usually setting the thermostat between low and high its mostly between 4 to 5 degrees.
You can go into the set up feature and adjust for this.
What happened to the programming link?
What is the 2o5 mode for a Steam boiler Dunkirk 82 gas for this thermostat?
How do I set the a/c on auto mode so it's will turn on or off depending temperature? It's so freaking cold at my house right now ,and it just keeps going ever since they installed it yesterday? I have a feeling it's either I turn it off or leave it cuz I couldn't find the auto a/c program on it. Or am I just that stupid ?! It's so complicated 😫😪😩
Not sure if this is your problem or not. If your system will not go from the cooling to the heating mode automatically then follow the steps below.
You have to go into the installer setup function of the thermostat.
1) press the menu button and + button at same time.
2) it will say ISU in the screen. Now hit select button
3) screen will show numbers like 120 and a number below it like “0”. Hit select button until the number on the screen says “220”
Make sure the number below it says “1” if you have one stage if cooling.
4) next hit select until the screen says “300” and change the number below it to “1”.
Now you should be able to hit home button
And click mode until the screen says “auto”
Also, check the thermostat temp setting.
I hope this helps
I have a blue and black wire.. Not sure where they go
The best thing would be to trace it out on the other end to see how they are connected. This way you can be sure to hook them up correctly.
I ended up popping the furnace open and looked at the wires and aligned them to the letter.
I have a T3 and I want to connect the heating, which should I use the same ones that you used in this video or C and RC?
R - power from heating transformer
Rc - power from cooling transformer
W - heat
C - common
Y - cooling
R - fan
I hope this helps
What if I don't have a common wire
Only with 2 wires, air conditioning will work??
No, you will need a yellow wire as well. It will be hooked to the (y) terminal.
NO HE IS TOTALLY WRONG , FIRST OF ALL THAT IS HEAT PUMP THERMOSTAT , NEEDS 5 WIRE , R. W.Y. C. G. O.OR B. TERMINALS
Can I install a Honeywell T-4 to my RV ?

Red and white?? What kind of thermostat ever has only red and white? This is useless for actually wiring and you don't need a video for mounting the thing on the wall.
Every part of the country does not use Air Conditioning. We have mostly heating systems here in Alaska where I am located! Which is why this thermostat is only using two wires. Maybe this is a waste of time to reply but I do appreciate you taking time to leave your feedback.
My only has red and white. Really helpful this video!!!
It was all relevant. Thanks for the information to all.
