don't understimate that lil i3, it actually packs quite the punch, I tell you coming from my old school laptop which had a Celeron 2981U and struggled quite a lol in Minecraft Java, and Bedrock was my only way to play back then, the problem is definitelly not the processor, it's the integrated graphics that hold it back, the problem is definitelly the price, that chromebook should cost like 150 to200 like every other does
also I fond it funny how 60% of schools give out chrmoebooks while in my country they give out just regular laptops, models that you can actually go and buy in any store, and definitelly the best generation to be a receiver of a school laptop in my country was 2017, if you were a 6th grader in 2017 you'd receive an HP laptop which came with A DEDICATED GRAPHICS CARD, a GeForce 940MX, it ain't that good, it performs around GT 1030 level, but damn, 1030 level absolutelly crushes any integrated graphics that Intel offers, AND ALSO an SSD, sadly I was too old, and instead got mine in 2014, with the already mentioned 2918U with just 4GB (500GB takenby the HD Graphics) and a 512GB mechanical hard drive)

I could get minecraft on my chromebook, IF my school didn't know how to disable the google play store. Plus, I already have it on my windows pc and switch, so I think I'm fine. I'm only gonna use my chromebook for school, and maybe mess around with it, because I already have a windows pc, which is more powerful than my mom's pc. I mean, my mom's pc is a desktop pc, but it can't run minecraft very well. I have no idea how she manages to play with tons of lag. My pc is not the best, but it can run minecraft with very little lag, and the only lag is from redstone.

I wish, I had a chromebook. If, I would turn off the fancy graphic and I would download Fps Boost Packs. And Touchscreen is the best.

Dude yeah, do you know how many kids have a Chromebook and have wished they could play Minecraft? Until I bought my son a $700 gaming laptop the only thing we had was Chromebooks. That's what kids have to use in school

School issued cromebooks have restrictions on them and block invites permanently and the experimental gameplay to ogle is restricted and some experimental features won't work and you can't play any public multiplayer on them and local school or Wi-Fi mutilplayer

dude I don't have like $500 to just drop for a new computer and/or PC,
I bought the chromebook version because touch controls suck on a phone so much for me & a chromebook is the only computer I have,
some people don't have the best optimal options easily accessible and this was a god send to me because now I actually had a big enough screen and usable controls for the gameplay without having to spend 200+ USD on new equipment.
if no one else is buying it
    I don't care.
    I'm buying it.

there are actually mods that fix macos specific input issues such as "MacOS Input Fixes", "EmuNO", and "McMouser", so yours and related issues are only a problem on vanilla Minecraft.

I feel like this version should be 10 dollars at most. This is just a differently optimized chromebook compatible port of minecraft pocket edition. The console versions took more optimization and effort than this.

I have a 2009 plastic MacBook that gets more FPS than modern Chromebooks lol. Keep in mind I upgraded it with a new battery, SSD, and the maximum 16gb of ram and I patched it to the latest macOS so I get the best out of it but I get good frame-rates.

How is this even a thing? My 2012 i3 3110M can play Minecraft JAVA with SHADERS at 30fps, and at 75 without.
It’s on Windows 10, which is way more powerful, and cost the same as that stupid Chromebook TEN YEARS AGO. It owes me nothing today.
And that’s why Chromebooks are totally and utterly pointless.

You keep assuming that people are actually interested in buying a Chromebook for the sake of playing Minecraft ... the reason why anyone is interested in this is that a Chromebook is the only device that a lot of us already have, whether we got a free Chromebook from school, or a Chromebook under $50 at a local market, so spending $20 on a game is cheaper than spending over $500 on a computer. All of us already have Chromebooks, so spending $20 on a game is simply convenient, hence the interest.
