She has SUCH a unique voice. She's a lirico-spinto soprano with amazing flexibility and secure, ringing high notes. One of the greatest voices of the 20th century.
I don’t know much about opera but Edda Moser is my favourite singer so far. Such a soulful and rich voice. Very easy to listen to compared to other female opera singers I’ve heard
The thing is that the audio to this one was recorded earlier and the performance here is most probably lip-synced. Still, before 1979, she always sounded like even the most crazy coloratura arias were a piece of cake to her :)
Even if she is (which I doubt since this is an excerpt from a 1976 concert, her voice started to decline in 1979 so she's still in her prime here), the recording she would be lipsyncing to is definitely her. And it is breathtaking if you ask me.
Krowa Paulinka true its definitely her voice but to lipsynched for an opera singer... bruhhhh i never saw anyone aside from her... callas may have ruined her voice but she never lipsynched till the very end. She would rather cancel a show. I dont know what her reasons are but this is disappointing.

OMG !! That voice sounds like a laser ray. Wonderful !!!
Her top notes are so wonderfully connected to the breath. Never heard this done better
Her voice is unique. I love it. It has a sound quality that's hard to describe. So rich and big yet clear and extremely well supported.
Its like dark in the middle but crystal on the top....
Pure dramatic coloratura sopran... 🙏🏻

Actually I love Kiri te Kanawa also. These two are amazing
Now thats a dramatic coloratura
Magnificent performance from an amazing singer. One of my favorites.
She isn’t just an amazing singer, she’s also captivating to watch. She just has “it”
Die beste Stimme der Welt für mich !!! Ein Traum
Edda Moser is probably one of the best Violetta. Truly a diva!
A Goddess, few voices move me to tears with this lady. God bless so much talent.
Großartig. Sauber. umwerfend.
Une merveilleuse soprano aux notes stratosphériques ! ❤❤❤
Moser knew she had the best high notes around. She is trying to come for Moffo’s number one spot. ❤️
I find their timbre very similar! Dark and husky.
I love her Italian with a German accent 😍
And those trills! 1:14
Divina!
Bravissima !!

Brava. Gran bella voce. Potente
The elegance and sophistication Edda Moser sings with I can compare only to Caballe.
Ela canta notas extremamente agudas, dando risada!
La grande classe!
La Moser grande soprano di coloratura.
Dama del canto
Brava!
Perfecto ❤️
BRAVA.

La versión completa??? 😮
Fantastic. What was up with that anticipation to the high Eb though?
😂
👏
Is it just me or she does it effortlessly

Nobody does it better than her. Not even Damrau or Sutherland.
Absolutely! ... Neither Natalie Dessay have edge. Queen of the night performance comparison.
Callas ciertamente lo hace.
Not bad.
👄
ahavor sirun e che? Bayts asuma smotrim, chenq imanum WHY. unconsicous, subconsious u name it.
I think she is lipsynching 😡

i too think it is a lipsync.. but boy what a voice.

@@creutzfeldtjakob7 This is an excerpt from a longer clip of La Traviata with Bonisolli and Klaus Hirte. They all lipsync.
Edda did a los of lipsync for TV performances. She is lipsynching
