    The symbolism of Jesse’s helmet just hits so hard. The Republic’s war is over, all of the chaos that led to its downfall behind it.

      Also the end with Vader shows how alone he was and all he had a lost. He had an army who die for him, a padawan/master who loved and cared for him dearly, and a potential family with Padme. Because of his decisions he's full hatred of himself and regret and is all alone now. It's pretty fucking tragic and sad.

    The sad thing is that there was a time where Rex was shot in the chest and Jesse told his brothers to protect the captain ! and now as the venator star destroyer goes down in flames not trying to save himself but trying his hardest to kill Rex his own brother and friend just as Rex said to Jesse we known each other for a long time, that's what makes this sad. I will never forget Heavy, Hardcase, Tup, Fives and Jesse of the 501st. They all died as HEROES.

      God, I hate Sidious for bringing this kind of suffering to the galaxy. He killed and sorrowed trillions of living creatures, the clones were discarded and butchered by his whim. Truly a great villain. But I am grateful to him for the emotions I felt in the same time... Ironic.
      P.S And also I found peace and solace in fact that they have been avenged in the end by the same Jedi, the only people who cared for them and who they betrayed. Poetic.

    I usually post something analytical or an observation about the episode, but not this time. This time I want to share something about me.
    I watched this final episode in the middle of the night right when it went live, and since then I've hardly slept. It was understandable I suppose, being the end of a show someone loves. But this hit me REALLY hard. The tone of the last few minutes was so bleak, dark, and hopeless. Heck even Episode III gave you hope on with twin sunset on tatooine. Not here. Here Ahsoka mirrors Anakin in a way, having lost virtually everything she knows and now she has leave it all behind to move on under the shadow of the empire.
    And it hit me hard because I don't have much either. I replied to a comment on here a few videos back as to why I comment some much on Star Wars videos like this. I said, 'I don't have any star wars fans around me, so this is how I can connect with my type of people." After watching this finale I had no one to share the emotion with, no one to debate key details, and so I just pretty much broke down. So I want to tell all of you who read this, thank you. Thank you for being my Star Wars friends. I love interacting with you all, even if I'm just some random TH-cam avatar with a silly name.
    I also broke down because we don't know what's next, what will LucasFilm Animation do now? I'm sure there will be something, but the uncertainty hit hard as well. Anyway, before I start choking up again, I'll end this long rambling post here. May the Force be with you all, and I'll see you on the next video.

      I don't think Rex officially went back to the army after this. He probably got in contact with some of the clones he knew, like Wolffe and Gregor, to try and convince them to remove their chips and then immediately went into hiding. That's why they're completely in isolation on that barren planet when we see Rex again in Rebels.

    It amazes me how this ends. I remember seeing "The Clone Wars" movie and everyone talking how they hated Ahsoka with all her attitude and the whole "Skyguy" thing. Over the years we watched Ahsoka grow, and become stronger in the Force. Despite his many flaws, Anakin did not fail her as a master, he made her a far better Jedi that he ever could hope to be, she may have no longer had the title, but she was Jedi to the bone. She is Anakin's one true success.

But she ended up being one of the best things to come out of the series. A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one

      Yeah it’s amazing that there’s a reason why Skywalker went down the wrong path to start with. Helping and protecting the innocents in the Outer Rim, never involving themselves in politics.

    12 years ago this started, and I was with it from the beginning, from the movie. 7 years ago it ended before its time. The following year we got the privelage of seeing what had been completed. From there we got extra material and info. 6-7 years we could only hope and wish that one day it would return. Then 2 years go, we were told our wish was being granted. And we wept with joy. It truly felt like a miracle. The 1st arc may have been familiar to some of us, the 2nd a little lackluster (not an invite to whine about it), and the 3rd....one of the strongest instances of my expectations being exceeded. It feels unreal to finally see this show that I grew up with have its proper end. Even with some intended stories still not given life, which I still hold out hope for, it feels right. I’m glad, but what I feel as I write this isn’t happiness, but not sadness either. It’s fulfillment. I thank the Force for the return of this show. And especially, for Dave Filoni.

      Indeed man, we thought that with the end of season 5, then season 6. But now we know everything is gone. The Republic is gone, the Jedi order is gone, the clone army is gone. So many characters we grew to love during this series; Plo Koon, Mace Windu, Kit Fisto, Luminara Unduli, Aayla Secura, Ki Adi Mundi, all those clone soldiers; even the villians like Dooku and Grievous, they're all dead. Anakin Skywalker's life has been destroyed, he is now a slave to a path he can never go back from.

    This entire era is one of tragedy. Flawed but good people trying to make things better but having it all fall apart. Satine, Padme, Anakin, Obi-Wan, (even Maul) and countless others had their lives lost or ruined thanks to the twisted ambitions, greed, and desire for vengeance of Palpatine. The clones were in many ways the ones who ruined the most by him. So many years fighting and dying with the Jedi to protect the people of the Republic, working to prove to others and themselves that despite their origins they were more then just machines, they were men with a will of their own and whose lives had as much value as anyone else's. In a few words Palpatine took all that from them. He made them into little better then machines forced to obey his will. Forced to kill the comrades they had fought with for so long, becoming the enforcers for a brutal dictatorship, and then thrown away once they weren't useful anymore. A tragic as it all is we see in Rebels and the Original Trilogy that there is still hope and the light of the Force hasn't been extinguished yet.

Because before during the Council meeting when Ahsoka said "I did my duty as a citizen", Yoda asks "not as a Jedi?" Ahsoka ponders that and then says "no... not yet".
      So it seems Ahsoka would want to return to the Order but when this all happened she felt she couldn't take that mantle again, not after she couldn't stop Anakin's fall by telling him of what Maul said.

    I now understand why they chose to specifically use a Y-Wing:
    The Y-wing was used in the clone wars, the era of Republic, but it was modified, to the changes of the world by the rebellion to fit in the new war- harder, messier, but strong and powerful !
    It goes from the Republic's venator to the old-new Y-wing. Showing how, in life too, we change and grow. We mustn't live in the past, but fit in the future, and that doesn't mean changeing ourselves ! It only means that in order to live a good future, we must also remember our past, not letting it define us, but learn form it.
    This show has had such a big impact on me, and it's so emotional (I don't have any other word for it... neither sad nor happy) to see it go.
    Thank you Clone Wars 💙

    As I sad previously, the music is outstanding. Very touching and extreme action final episodes and I cry with you, sis. That was top season and top episodes, I'm speechless. Your final commentary is great.

    The last scene of the show is haunting me. It's such a poignant example of how Anakin has become trapped in a joyless world. He's still essentially a military commander, years after the end of the war. Even though nothing has changed in that respect, all the color has been drained out of the world. There is nothing now besides monochrome equipment and uniforms. The only piece of color left is in the faded orange helmet; a reminder of different, better times.

    You can see Anakin's eyes through that mask as he looks up at Morai. For that moment he was Anakin one last time. As far as he knows, his acutions caused Ahsoka, Rex, Jesse, and the rest of the 332nd's deaths.

    Idk if anyone else has pointed this out but R7, ahsoka’s astromech, is Chopper. He is mostly r7 but parts were used from the other 2 droids as well. Hera finds chopper with a ywing then pieces him together. We have known that for awhile, and that showed us all that this episode as well. You see r7 beside the ywing at the end

    What makes this very last scene of the show even more impactful to me is that in the shot of Vader's helmet, you can see through the lenses. You can see the eyes behind the mask. And they are angry. The eyes which we last saw happily looking upon Ahsoka are now full of hatred and pain.
    I also really love the imagery of Vader with a blue lightsaber. Him staring at the blade and letting it linger for a moment reflecting on what he now knows and then deactivating the blade and simply turning away from it all. The clones, the Republic and Ahsoka. All just a memory of a past life for him. One to be left behind and forgotten until that one faithful day so many years later "The apprentice lives".

    • @velociraptorgod110
      @velociraptorgod110 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, they look "normal". Normaly he has deep yellow sith eyes. The eyes are regretful AF. The eyes of Anakin, not Vader. Even Vader didnt wanted her to be harmed if possible

    • @SWTobito0702
      @SWTobito0702 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@velociraptorgod110 Vader literally tried to kill her. Also mind you this takes place at the very least several months after ROTS, if not years (seeing as Stormtroopers are already in effect). By that point Vader has completely rejected anything and everything from his past life. Including his attachment to his former apprentice. To Vader, Anakin is dead.
      He didn't go to the crash sight to mourn his fallen padawan but to confirm a kill. I doubt there is any resentment in his eyes. And even if they aren't yellow, they are still giving off hatred.
