Ahsoka leaves the lightsabers to basically fake her death. It is easier to hide if people think you are dead. Amazing reaction and amazing series. Can't wait to see your reaction to Rebels, Mandalorian and Bad Batch.
@@larniieplayz6285 She left both behind, they just don't show it here. The official version she made up for the empire was that she and Rex killed eachother. The book "Ahsoka" tells you what she did one year after the clone wars and she has no lightsaber anymore there.
i’m confused though because Vader didn’t see her dead body which either means she is alive or learned from Yoda how to be a force ghost (which we know isn’t true) so he had to know she was still alive. the jedi in the temple who were killed during order 66 still were there dead by the time yoda and obi wan went back so that’s what has to be going through Vader’s head at the end, right?

Maybe Vader felt that she was still alive but for the empire she died. Rebels spoiler: In the Rebels series they explain how Vader and the Emperor finds out that Ahsoka lived.
To the point you made at the end of the episode, the way I see it is that after Anakin turned and became Vader, he'd lost Padme, their child (to his knowledge), Obi-Wan, the majority of his body. Ahsoka was literally all he had left of who he once was, when he found her saber amongst the wreckage of the ship, he had pretty much lost everything. So there was nothing for him to hold on to and from that point forward, he fully becomes Darth Vader.
I love how when Vader looks up at the sku holding the saber you can see Anakins eye through the glass. Showing that tiny little piece of him still left

This is really the only time that Vader still feels like Anakin to me, partly because it's in Clone Wars and partly because we saw him still as Anakin not that long ago. After all of the foreshadowing and building Anakin's turn to the dark side throughout the entire show, it was strangely fulfilling feeling to see all of that come together and see him as Vader. It kinda hits differently than any other scene with Vader because it's the resolution of Anakin's arc over the entire show
It’s been like one hell of a journey. It literally still feels like we just started the Star Wars reactions with A New Hope but now it’s done and with you moving to a new location it just feels like it’s the end of an era.
The ending always gets me, because when it came out it really showed me that my childhood is over at the time I was 16 now I'm 18 and Star Wars content now is a portal or a gate back to my childhood which is also why I love star wars so much.
Remember, Vader had no reason to go looking for Ashoka. But Anakin did. But for a brief moment, you are right about that, that he felt a part like Anakin and wasn't fully Vader. If you look at his helmet when it shows the shot of Vader looking up at the sky, you can see his eyes are not entirely red. He now truly thinks Ashoka is gone and there's nothing left of Anakin for him to turn to, so Vader now is his new identity.
The ending gets me every single time :( What an ending to a fantastically written star wars series! So heartbreaking and chilling! The buried clones is so tragic and is basically the clone wars...all those men died, and for what? And the Vader appearance was perfect. What an episode, what a reaction, can't wait for Rebels!

The ending scene with Vader takes place about 11+ years after the rise of the empire ..Main reason being the shuttle he arrives in it wasn't designed and built until 10 to 11 years after the rise of the empire ...So basically what you're seeing is a time jump... It will make sense later

In case you didn't know already: Disney took over Star Wars in 2014 (I think) and cancelled this show after its 5th season. The show's creators were able to release the remaining episodes, which they managed to animate completely, on Netflix, so these episodes became CW season 6. That's also the reason why season 6 only has 13 episodes and not 20 or more, because they were cancelled mid-production. Dave and his team finished 12 out of the (about) 52 unfinished Clone Wars episodes in season 7, but there still exist (around) 40 unfinished episodes or (in other words) 10 unfinished arcs to this day. The scripts of all of the 52 episodes were already finished, as far as I know. You can look up these amazing stories which we still could have gotten, which would have played out before the finale of season 7. I really hope that they maybe are going to release and finish more or all of the 10 arcs/ 40 unfinished CW episodes in the future. We would have seen on screen what happened with Maul and Sidious after season 5 or with Ventress, for example, not just in comic or book form (like the Maul "Son of Dathomir" or Ventress "Dark Disciple" book). We would have also seen more of the affects that Ahsoka leaving had on Anakin and even a very short encounter between Sidious and Ahsoka. Maybe one day Disney will eventually decide to finish and release them.
Yooo Primate, great reaction as always! In Attack of the Clones, Jango tells Obi-Wan “I was recruited by a man called Tyranus on one of the moons of Bogden.” The moon the Star Destroyer crashed on is unidentified, so there’s a small possibility that it is the moon Jango was hired on. That moon of Bogden is, in a way, were the clone wars started, and although it’s just a fan theory (so far) the possibility of it also being were the clone wars basically ends makes this whole series even better.
the last scene with the ahsoka/vader parallels gives me chills every time. this arc really is the perfect way to end the clone wars and hands down the greatest few episodes in the show
thanks for the ride! FYI: there is a time jump between the crash and vader showing up. some sites say it was at least 5 years (based on the ships and stormtrooper armor), but I haven't heard an official time frame.
Vader actually doesn’t know Ahsoka is alive now. He actually came to this planet to search for any remains for her, once he found her sabers, the sabers Anakin gave her that was a false confirmation of her demise, Vader realizes in those last moments of holding that ignited hilt, another tie from Anakin Skywalker was cut. He takes a saber as the slightest momentum, preferably in his mind as a trophy to the Empire’s mercy. At this unfortunately Anakin would’ve been too far gone to be revived, but when order 66 first happened or before hand, her involvement definitely could’ve turned the tide. No doubt
I loved watching you go through all the emotions of the entire clone wars. There's something about watching a Star Wars shiny become a veteran like us that is special unlike watching veteran Star Wars nerds (Blind Wave and the Star Wars channels are good, but they already know so much. The true discovery of characters, events, and locations is unique and awesome on this channel.
One of my earliest memories as a kid, was my mom holding me, in line to watch the rerelease of A New Hope when i was 3 y/o. Followed the series since, and read a bunch of books. Clone wars was one of the most exciting additions to the saga, and what a ride it was. Glad to have been there with you and I hope to see you react to "Star Wars: Rebels" next.
Thanks primate for being part of this journey, this one of the things that introduced me into star wars all way back in 2008 in the CW movie, a movie that my grandma took me from the last time to the cinema bc she died from cancer back in 2008, this series hold a very special place in my heart a journey that I started when I was 3
I love the 332nd clone helmet in the snow. It symbolizes the end of the Clone Wars and the start of a new era. Looking forward to Rebels! And yes, it's me, Ahsoka Tano 'Snips'.
It's taken a very long time to get to this point, but it's 100% worth it. I started editing this series back with my very first official video being Clone Wars season 2 episode 2. Absolutely phenomenal series, and I'm happy to help Primate experience it along with help entertain y'all. It's going to be extremely difficult to replicate how much this series has impacted this channel, but we got so much more Star Wars content to get through and I'm so excited to be here with y'all.
Damn man....this reaction was fire. I came to your channel when you just started season 4. Its been an awesome journey. The vader part was quite a bit of time jump from the Clone Wars(about 10 years). But still Vader's struggle with his feelings was present throughout his life.
It’s been an honor to have been on this journey with you from the beginning all the way up until now I can’t wait to see your reactions to the future Star Wars content
I don't remember where I saw it, but I saw someone make a comment about Vader showing up that stuck out to me. "There was no need for Vader to personally show up to this random moon months after a cruiser crashed with no survivors. Vader doesn't care whether Ahsoka lived or died in that crash. He didn't need to see proof, but Anakin did." And Vader seeing that last little proof that the last thing Anakin held dear to his heart is what killed Anakin Skywalker. I was so hyped seeing you get to season 7. I have been around since the start of this series and have enjoyed seeing what you think. I have always had a personal attachment to this show so I love whenever I have a chance to see someone experience my favorite series for the first time. Here's to The Clone Wars and many episodes of Rebels.
what a journey!! the clones trying to hunt down ahsoka with their painted helmets, and anakin finding and igniting the saber that he gave ahsoka the last time he saw her... so tragically beautiful!! also you should definitely continue with rebels, then mandalorian, and then bad batch!!
Hey Primate, I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the hours you’ve put into watching this show (and thanks to your editor too), it’s been a great journey and you have always been one of my favorite reactors. Thanks for letting me see the show through fresh eyes! Lots of love!
I remember last year i rewatched all eps before season 7 dropped. Then after I watched it and was finally complete Primate started to do what I had just done, now a year later, it has come to an end.
Rex has littery lost everything, that hurts man. Clones, born only to serve then die, only to discover comradeship, love, and friendship then to have it all taken away from them. They truly are the most tragic characters in fiction.
I'm gonna miss this intro and this series so much :( But it's been amazing being on the Star Wars journey with you bro, and I can't wait for the other Star Wars reactions. I'm glad you enjoyed this series and this finales as much as we did, it's one of the best of all time
Near the end after the crash, there's an owl flying around. That's sort of a symbol of Ahsoka, like her guardian angel. It's also an embodiment of The Sister from the Mortis arc. I feel like you see it when Vader is on screen. Potentially could be right around when Ahsoka drops her sabers...guess I'll have to rewatch to see where. Oh darn.
I've always seen Vader and Anakin as two separate people but when it showed Vader's eye when he looked up, I finally saw Vader and Anakin as the same person
Wow, we’re really here lmao i still remember you watching the star wars saga and me saying this kid really understood what star wars is i’ma start fucking with his videos, and here we are now lmao
I feel like there was a certain time gap from when the star destroyer crashed to when Vader found it, because you can see the Stormtrooper armor. The clones and Stormtroopers didn't start wearing that armor until around 2-3 years after the end of the Clone War.
Well, it's been a blast seeing someone else enjoy this show from start to finish. I'm glad you enjoyed the show and I got to share some fun facts about lore and the production of the show. So, with that said: welcome to the rabbit hole of madness that is Star Wars,
I feel so bad for Rex because even though he is like an adult he is technically 14 or so. Imagine a 14 year olds mind if he realized that he must fight and possibly kill his brothers.
I pray to any lord who will listen that Primate never sees any spoliers. It would be the most devastating thing because he is on a good streak of not seeing spoilers.
Fun fact: not only were there meant to be 8 seasons, but Ahsoka was meant to die in order 66 but Disney changed that when George sold the company. Tbh I’d like to see how that would’ve gone
@@captaincoolbreeze9429 agreed since I remember him saying how he was very supportive of her living but George wanted her to die and he stated that when George was still in charge
Just FYI the last scene isn't immediately after Anakin was put in the suit. Note the stormtroopers are in the new uniform already not clone armor not to mention the change of season on that planet. It is at least a few months later
This episode man brought us all to tears. Thank you Primate so much for watching this series it’s been an incredible ride. I’m so happy that you got to watch it. Much love my man.
If you look carefully this episode this was a retcon to the Ahsoka novel that was out. In the novel she left behind both of her lightsabers but in this episode she only left one of them to try and fake her death
End scene with Vader takes place at least 15 years after order 66. Lamda class shuttle is the give away, and Stormtroopers. It took that long to find the wreckage. And Ahsoka show in '23! Now on to Rebels, Bad Batch, and Mandolorian!!!
What a ride. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I love your positive outlook on things, and am glad you're going in the order that you are. As others have said: Rebels kind of follows the Clone Wars style wise in that it starts as a kids show, then grows up over time. It's a much lighter tone overall, and the art style shift will be a bit shocking going straight from CW S7 (which is the best this show has ever looked) but you get used to it and if you keep focusing on the story you won't even notice it after a bit. Psyched to see your next steps in the universe!
The other main reason why she left her sabers was so that the empire would think she died in the crash. When Vader picks up the sabers, that’s him realizing that everyone he loved is gone.
I love how the final shot of the entire show is a broken and old clone helmet painted in Ahsoka’s colours. Dave knew what he was doing with that. Fucking genius

No doubt
Gosh I wonder what would have gone down if he had found Ahsoka alive at this point... Now that's a What If I really want.
The clone wars journey ends, and the rebels journey begins! Also can’t wait to see your new crib, man.
This is one of the only times in a Star Wars show where I cried the first time I watch this
One of my earliest memories as a kid, was my mom holding me, in line to watch the rerelease of A New Hope when i was 3 y/o. Followed the series since, and read a bunch of books. Clone wars was one of the most exciting additions to the saga, and what a ride it was. Glad to have been there with you and I hope to see you react to "Star Wars: Rebels" next.
It's awesome to see how suspenseful it is for someone who is watching all the animated series in chronological order. Can't wait for what's to come!
The editor is a legend for that opening.
The unsung hero...lol
It’s fun seeing reactions to this final arc of people who haven’t watched Rebels.
That final shot says it all, END OF AN ERA!..On too rebels my friend🍻🍻
Hey Primate, I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the hours you’ve put into watching this show (and thanks to your editor too), it’s been a great journey and you have always been one of my favorite reactors. Thanks for letting me see the show through fresh eyes! Lots of love!
I remember last year i rewatched all eps before season 7 dropped. Then after I watched it and was finally complete Primate started to do what I had just done, now a year later, it has come to an end.
So awesome to watch your whole journey through Clone Wars and your growth as a Star Wars fan. Still a ton of great content to come too. Can’t wait.
It’s been fun seeing you go through this banger show, hyped to see what you think of Rebels and the other shows
Rex has littery lost everything, that hurts man. Clones, born only to serve then die, only to discover comradeship, love, and friendship then to have it all taken away from them. They truly are the most tragic characters in fiction.
When Ashoka and Rex were in free fall Anakin and Obi-Wan were having their duel on Mustafar
I'm gonna miss this intro and this series so much :(
But it's been amazing being on the Star Wars journey with you bro, and I can't wait for the other Star Wars reactions.
The Vader scene took place a couple years after revenge of the sith because the stormtroopers and that faze of armor took some time to go into place
"Maul is a savage."
No, his brother was Savage.
So, with that said: welcome to the rabbit hole of madness that is Star Wars,
And you can actually hear ashoka in The rise of skywalker which is cool
And so begins the wait for twin suns reaction...
I feel so bad for Rex because even though he is like an adult he is technically 14 or so. Imagine a 14 year olds mind if he realized that he must fight and possibly kill his brothers.
Ahsoka: I don’t wanna hurt them
Obi-Wan and Yoda: *FUCKING LIGHTSABER THROW HEAD CHOP ULTRA COMBO*
I pray to any lord who will listen that Primate never sees any spoliers. It would be the most devastating thing because he is on a good streak of not seeing spoilers.
The only bad one that got through so far was Maul's return.
Some would also describe the sequel trilogy as tragic, but in a different way.
Fun fact: not only were there meant to be 8 seasons, but Ahsoka was meant to die in order 66 but Disney changed that when George sold the company. Tbh I’d like to see how that would’ve gone
I would say that Filoni changed Ahsoka's fate more than Disney.
@@captaincoolbreeze9429 agreed since I remember him saying how he was very supportive of her living but George wanted her to die and he stated that when George was still in charge
The end of an era. So glad I got to experience this show again via your awesome reactions Primate. Can’t wait to see what’s next
Just FYI the last scene isn't immediately after Anakin was put in the suit. Note the stormtroopers are in the new uniform already not clone armor not to mention the change of season on that planet. It is at least a few months later
Don’t even feel like it’s over forever
Anyone else just waiting for when Luke and Ashoka finally fucking meet?
All the ogs remember when this joirney started on the original primate channel, and its only just getting started
10:20 Nope, this was to pretend she is dead
Shoutout Fives’ ark and the Mortis Ark
This episode man brought us all to tears. Thank you Primate so much for watching this series it’s been an incredible ride. I’m so happy that you got to watch it. Much love my man.
He thinks this is over. Funny, we're just getting started.
I was super stoned watching the whole finale when it came out..
It broke me
It’s nice seeing you Clone Wars (2008-2020)
💙💚💜❤️💛🧡🤎💖🖤
10:30 Vader
If you look carefully this episode this was a retcon to the Ahsoka novel that was out. In the novel she left behind both of her lightsabers but in this episode she only left one of them to try and fake her death
The Clone Wars is my favorite SW content ever. Then, The Mandalorian and Revenge of the Sith
What a journey it has been, to be with you starting from the 1st episode of TCW all the way to now.
